Hmm....you're right. The homeowners would be the ones to go to jail, regardless of whether or not the bank could provide the actual note or clear title.

Seriously though, what do you know about it? Have you been exposed to priveleged information? Actually you don't need any privileged information. Waterboarding is torture when other people do it. Bush admitted that he supported it. Either we subscribe to a double standard or Bush and other members of his administration have admitted to war crimes. Does that mean that they'll get prosecuted? I'm sure they will, right after those who committed the banking fraud that nearly threw our country into a depression.

Where's your $156K? Same place as mine. Our checks were cashed and thrown out of the back of a truck in Iraq. Happened a few years ago but we're still paying the interest.

I don't usually watch her show so I missed it. Thank's for pointing it out. It's nice to see a real interview instead of talking point pugilism for a change. Jon's a real asset to today's dialog.

That may be true for inside Israel but it's not the case for the West Bank and Gaza, and Jerusalem for that matter. Many DO want to kick them out and are intolerant of those who don't leave. The "apartheid" term applies to the treatment of Palestinians in the West Bank. Gaza is more of a prison camp with only one "class" of people. I appreciate that.

I vote to protect one's own property from someone that is illegally trying to take it. so you agree with the UN (and your government) that illegal israeli building should stop. If only you could deflect some of that energy, bashing Israelis, and use it to angrily and justly show some sort of repugnation for civilians being the targets of suicide bombers, we could believe some of the drivel we read from you. And if only you could reflect some of that energy, bashing Israeli critics, and use it to angrily and justly show some sort of repugnation for the the inhuman apartheid policies, which are often in direct conflict with the claims and espoused desires of the Israeli government, we could believe some of the drivel from blindly apologetic Israeli supporters. One honest question, over the last couple of years, have the Palestinians or the Israelis put up more barriers to peace talks?

No, it's not "their land" and that's (part of) the problem. The Obama administration was/is our best chance in years for a chance to help encourage a peace settlement. Netanyahu has turned out to be more of an adversary than a partner. I'm pretty sure that we can think of better ways to spend $3 billion/yr than to give it to an unwilling peace partner.

_______________________________________________ We are losing our manufacturing and our research and development to China, Mexico and India and you are worried about investors? Last I heard Obama announced a deal with India to sell them 33 737's and 10 C17's.

I think theirs is a little different. If you DON'T contribute to right wing candidates then you lose your job Just trying to pick up that spoon you dropped.

Wouldn't the whole helmet just be jettisoned in case of entanglement? With the metal post you'd have to jettison the helmet, but he mentioned that the ringsight post was plastic so he could break it away. I was trying to point out that that won't necessarily get rid of the main if it's still attached to the hypeye.
-
Yes. Then there's a chance that you may end up still trailing your main after you attempt to break away during an entanglement.

My issue with the scrutiny of these types of expenses is that it rings extremely hollow. The same people who want to run through this itinerary with a fine toothed comb never questioned the $2 billion per week that we were throwing at Iraq or any of the other expenditures of the last decade. For example, when film and documentation was presented to a Congressional committee which showed abuse of a cost-plus contract through the bulldozing of new computers and the blowing up of a tanker truck because it had a flat tire, the response from a Rep. of Georgia was "what do you have against profit?" Suddenly, as of January 2009, the right is concerned with wasteful spending and wants to attack every nickel spent on a Democratic politician's activities. I'm all for cutting waste too but let's not leave it to partisan pettiness. Like Anderson Cooper said, there's plenty of real crap to be pissed off about. No need to make shit up.

Is that a zip tie holding the hypeye indicator to the sight?

"Colbert announced, “The Republicans will take the House back, so it is all but certain that John Boehner will be the new Speaker, unless out of pure habit, he blocks his own confirmation.”"

For the 2nd or 3rd time Kall we are on the same page. I totally agree! This election was crazy. My sister is lit about how bad both sides treated women candidates. Unfortunately we're going to have to get used to it. I believe that about $4 billion was spent this election cycle in a concerted effort to make us stupid and angry. The media loves it, so it will continue. Coming up next, two more years of angry ignorance peddling. It's not likely to create many jobs but it will cost a lot. Anyone know of a campaign advertising index fund that I can buy into?

I can't tell you what I had for breakfast but that's Bill Cosby...mid 60's. "Why is there air" I believe. YES!! - I have 4 of his old records from that timeframe - probably collector's items by now. "Kindergarten" was a great skit. Edit: "I wanna candy bar", but what do they give you? a nasty old brown dried up stick in your throat GRAHAM CRACKER and sitting on the radiator is a carton of milk don't forget "idiot mittens"

Sucks that represents the right radio. I can't listen to much of rush/hannity/beck. Try tuning into michael medved. He's right but only takes opposing viewpoint phone calls. It's great radio debate If he lets the callers finish a sentence then I might give him a try. I'm all for actual debate. I hate it when the host asks a question, interrupts two seconds into the reply and launches on a rant in response to an answer that was never given. But hey, it sells and that's what's important these days.

I don't watch FOX either but I tune in to talk radio on occasion to hear the noise machine's talking points. Occasionally Hannity has Williams on as the lefty punching bag for another guest. Williams holds his own well and he's one of the few people that Hannity shows a modicum of respect.

That's not what news is for. Factually reporting about something someone did rarely offends people, unless it's overly descriptive wrt some subjects. Using a news outlet as a means of hurting those who "need their feelings hurt" is a misuse of that media.
-
Totally expected. The rabid right seems to think that fear mongering and abrasive opinion is "news", so when NPR fails to deliver I can see how they would want to cut their funding. IMO, I think NPR overreacted a bit. They should have just made a public statement distancing NPR's policies with opinions expressed by their reporters in other media. I like Juan's contributions to NPR and I even appreciate his niche as one of the very few voices of reason at FOX. I hope they don't ruin him. On the upside, he's apparently guest hosting "The Factor" so at least one episode may not completely suck.
