They're quiet for a few days. Then all of a sudden there's an opinion. Gee, I wonder where it came from? http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/today.guest.html Is Air America still on the air? I don't know. I guess so. What's their take on this?

They're quiet for a few days. Then all of a sudden there's an opinion. Gee, I wonder where it came from? http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/today.guest.html Have you read the entire report for yourself or have you relied on newspapers and websites to break it down for you? - Nope. Only parts of it. How does that relate to my observation that this thread (check the title) is based on Limbaugh's opinion?

FWIW, here's a report showing just lots of money flowing from the US's "ally", Saudi Arabia, to the Sunni insurgents in Iraq. http://abcnews.go.com/International/IraqCoverage/wireStory?id=2708253 And let's not forget about al-Qua'eda's principal sanctuary, Pakistan – another reliable "ally" of the US. Damn al-qaeda, that's inconcievable! I think we need another tax cut followed by an invasion of........of..... Venezuela!

C'mon Bill, how can you deny the successes?!?!? Alienating our allies-Success! Creating more enemies-Success! Overextending our military-Success! Becoming a war criminal-Success! Abandoning the war on terror-Success! Remaining ignorant of our enemies-Success! Borrowing trillions of dollars-Success! Reaping whirlwind profits for his campaign donors-Success!!! Generally embarassing and endangering our country-Success!!! (ok, that last one is hard to quantify but it's a pretty good summation). And let's not forget, he certainly must hold the record for longest running google bomb, "miserable failure". "Always look on the briiiiiight side of life"!

Just think how sad it would all be without Christmas. There wouldn't even be the story of Scrooge. Ba hum bug. Just a cold, dark, depressing time of year. Depressing?!?!? It's a great time of year! I get more time off from my employer, the plane climbs faster, the canopy flies better, there's more room on the plane and in the packing area, you don't sweat while trying to get that damn canopy in the f'n bag, and the beer light comes on a few hours earlier. What's not to love Oh yea, peace on earth y'all!

Saturnalia was just too much fun to compete with.

What was Christmas about for the early church? Trying not to be the Christmas feast for the Lions.

Video Is a Window Into a Terror Suspect’s Isolation

Actually, many of them (here) have. We'll see if Bush has figured it out yet. Uncle Jimmy gave him a good whoopin' yesterday. -

I looked it up, and you're right - it was in Europe that they burned witches, whereas in the Colonies the standard method of lynching them was hanging. A huge difference. And drowning. No wait. If you were innocent you drowned, if you were a witch you floated. I suppose we could build a bridge out of her. -

And Democrats control both houses of Congress. I guess this supposed takeover isn't all it's hyped up to be. Something about rats leaving a sinking ship comes to mind We all (globally) would have been better off if they hadn't gotten on that ship in the first place. -

Six years ago. That's who they're talking about when they say "neocon". Search the forums for PNAC. Or go here: http://newamericancentury.org/ Things are looking up though. The republican party is (hopefully) now realizing the errors of letting that bunch call the shots. -

No, there hasn't. Hopefully that will change in January. That's what's so great about living in the United States. There will be change. Historically, both parties have provided watime national security. Unfortunately we can't afford to secure our nation, container inspections etc., because we've blown all of our resources in an unrelated nation building exercise. -

It's not a democratic enough institution to be effective.

Actually I don't think impeachment is proper. It's too expensive and a waste of the 110th's time. A war crimes tribunal in an international court will suffice. Yeah. Let's start handing over our national leaders to the international courts. In the interest of national security I think it's a great idea. It would go a long way to mending the damage that he and his buddies have caused and it would show the rest of the world that we subcribe to the values that we're trying to spread around the world. I mean, what's the harm in the long run? Besides, think of the money we'd save. No secret service for life, no pension, no "Fun with Dick and Jane" Dubya library

The Newest Lib Attempt to Rule via the Courts

So why is Scalia baiting the prosecution by asking about when this "cataclysm is supposed to occur"? I have no respect for Scalia anymore. He used to be an interesting character that I disagreed with most of the time but I could respect his arguments. When he arrogantly refused to recuse himself from Cheney's case, that was the last straw for me. He should have been kicked off the bench. -

I give him far more credit that a judge acting like his head isn't in the sand and making decisions based on whim and caprice. Yea, it's so much easier to be a judge when you've already made up your mind. You get to appear strong, and assertive, unwaivering...you know...almost presidential by today's standards. -

I think Scalia summed up the position of the naysayers best when he said: "Troposphere, whatever. I told you before I'm not a scientist," ............. "That's why I don't want to have to deal with global warming, to tell you the truth." Nothing restores faith in our judicial system like a Supreme Court Justice sticking his head in the sand. -
Six Muslim Clerics Removed from USAir Flight for Praying

Why are we letting the debate narrow down to hijacking? What about anthrax? Truck bombs? Hell, flu for that matter. Kills ten times more people per year than 9/11 did. Where does homeland security stand on "Purel"? Shouldn't they be handing that stuff out at airports and subways? No wait, that would be welfare. Nevermind. Besides, I really don't care. I'm on vacation!! Have fun -

Which works out to roughly 0.00000105% of the Global Muslim community. If we have a medicine A which has side effects in .00001% of users and medicine B which has side effects in .00005% of users. Even though both percents are small, medicine B is 5x more likely to produce side effects then medicine A. Thus it would be justified to watch users on medicine B more than medicine A. Or you could just get some of your 3500 lobbyists to finance the election of people who will appoint the "right" people to the FDA, thereby making it possible to market both drugs and bury the studies that show the percentage of people likely to be affected. Hmmmm....so basically the Muslim community needs more influential lobbyists. -
