Your mileage may vary.

Are you going to attempt to counter any points being made, or are you simply going to accuse those who disagree with you of being bigots?

I supposed if she passed the bubbler now and again it would be okay.

Why are you posting an editorial as news?

Wouldn't a member of Her Majesty's Secret Service (or whatever the organization is called in bond movies) be considered a law enforcement officer of sorts? How many anti-handgun advocates do you know of that feel police should not have access to guns? How is he playing a role opposite his convictions, again? For Great Deals on Gear

Would you enforce a law you do not personally believe in?

Try here. Select mp3 (below the search field), and type desired song title or artist in the search field, press enter/return. Not nearly as convenient as iTunes, but much less expensive.

??? What does the current number of Iraqi government employees have to do with comparison? Or are you trying to label me a liberal, as though it is a dirty word, in an effort to avoid facing a valid criticism?

Good point, except the public schools I attended did in fact require all middle school students to take a gun safety course, in response to the fact that so many people are killed by "unloaded" firearms. Granted, there was no target practice involved, but the course was mandatory. It was a gun safety course, and not a pro-gun course. Parents are free to home school their children, or send them to private schools. Additionally, most schools offer parents the option of having their children excused from sex education. Your exact words, in the context of the entire paragraph: You make it sound as though people should put no more thought and planning into having children than they put into having sex. Or, are you trying to say that sex without intent to procreate is wrong? Should we wait until our kids actually get married to tell them about sex? Do you honestly believe withholding information from teens will help eliminate teen sex? Kids are going to hear about sex and birth control in school. It is much better that they receive accurate information from teachers than information from other students based on half truths and misconception.

>You might be listening to the MSM too much. . . Your statistics are pretty meaningless without accurate "before the invasion" figures. How much of what you claim is simply rebuilding what the "war on terror" destroyed? Fixing what we broke is not overall progress for Iraq.

Should we hold young children responsible for their failure to have gainfully employed parents?

What do you think would happen if subsidies were eliminated while, simultaneously, domestic demand increased? If a new domestic market were introduced, wouldn't that be beneficial, at least in the long term? Just curious, and would appreciate your opinion.

This is quite a bit like the Intelligent Design argument. Humans are wired to be horny a large portion of the time during adolescence. Ignoring this fact doesn't do anybody any favors. Teaching kids about birth control is basic risk management. Teens are going to have sex, generally speaking. Few would argue that teens are mature enough, except in a strictly physical sense, to procreate. They are capable, but rarely ready. We need to give them the tools to prevent kids from having kids until they are ready for the responsibility of parenting. Teaching teens about birth control in public schools is neither a "master plan" nor a defamation of Christianity as you claim. It is as much common sense as teaching kids about germs and encouraging them to wash their hands after they use the bathroom and before they eat.

I think instead of subsidizing farmers, we need the government to spend that money on biofuel refineries. Not only would such measures level the playing field, as you point out, but it also invests in farmers for energy needs, and helps shift some wealth from the petroleum industry. I'm pretty sure Black Majik fly Javelins, w/o problems. They are a 4-way team that turn all their points in a back to earth/ belly to sky orientation. That would make the Javelin very freefly friendly.

Food stamps now come in the form of a debit type card in some states. I agree that cash is the benefit most likely to be abused. I don't think we can completely eliminate cash assistance, though. It shouldn't be the primary form of assistance, however. Cash provides immediate relief, but in such small amounts does virtually nothing to solve the long term problem.

I disagree with your conclusion. -
If your criticizers studied Marx, they would know that he believed in a government even smaller than the Libertarians want. Marx visualized the end of government, and expected people to take care of each other for no other reason than it being the right thing to do, sort of like Nightingale proposes.
