Society is not willing or prepared to take the steps necessary to slow or reverse the effects of climate change/global warming. Even if they do, it will take a long time to slow it down or reverse it especially with world population increasing and the natural warming cycle. It is time to start building on higher ground. All coastal cities can't be like New Orleans with dikes and pumps. What were Native Americans thinking 12,000 years ago when the ice was melting. -

I talked to my friend last night. their house got flooded. 4 feet of water, water also coming in the windows. They lost about 90% of their belongings. Fortunately they moved their cars to higher ground. They recently received approval to have their house raised, work to start in January 2025. I guess it was a little too late. -

Just talked to a friend who lives near the Gulf a little north of Tampa. They are raising everything in their house, they expect it to flood. They finally got the approval to have their house raised which will happen next year. -
