  1. Don't worry about it too much, it's just a mirroring mechanism. People "plant" negative attributes into you that don't exist just so they can find balance against their own negative thoughts. My ultra-liberal sister does that to me all the time, despite that I'm fairly moderate on most things political. That explains alot, unfortunately it was what I had figured out, and I was really hoping to be wrong.
  2. Does the idea of WWIII excite you, or is it just the people dying in general, or just brownish people dying? Once again another person has shown that they know absoultely nothing about me, and in this instance like many others, they are completely wrong. I wonder, is it that people can't read anymore, or is that that have to add verbage to a statement in order to feel justified in disliking the author, or the message?
  3. Well Bill what is the answer then? Israel is far from perfect, but every time a concession is made there is another attack. Bill if you were running Israel what would you do?
  4. Actually not at all, or I would have said so. Or does it please you to think that way?
  5. and it can also get spilled if the match goes full contact after too many pints.
  6. What are you afraid of being hit? That ball can kill
  7. Looks like Hezbollah miscalculated and now will feel the effects of Israeli Armor and Infantry. It would really suck to be them.(Hezbollah)
  8. leave the snake alone unless you want rats.
  9. or when charges are placed so they blow up like in the movies. Gas tanks blowing up is a very rare occurrance. My source on this matter is my own uncle who was a fireman for 30 years. They reponded to many accidents, and even a few shootouts where the tank had holes, was leaking, and still no fire.
  10. Excellent and how did the bullet perform? what type? post mortem examination of bullet path? and expansion?? I ask because I do use a .308 for hunting as well as my .270. You have just been on a hunt I have only dreamed of. When I was very small my Nono(grandfather) promised that when he retired we would go on a hunt in Africa. I wish he would have lived at least just a few more years so I would have been old enough to go, before he got sick and died. I will go someday that is a fact!
  11. Sure Bill all those men and women who were abandoned in the PI were left there because we just felt like it huh? And dugout Doug only felt like going for a nice boat ride.
  12. That's the most ridiculous thing i've seen here in a long while. "fought against immense odds, had our backs to the wall" can be applied to pretty much every other country but USA. bsbd! Yuri. Maybe you watch too many movies, the US was not a major power at the point it entered WWII, and for quite some time things didn't go very well to say the least. We nearly lost in the Pacific, North Africa, and Italy was so costly that it made the Normandy Invasion seem very unrealistic. If the US or the UK had lost in WWII, Germany would have won after focusing all its attention on annihilating Russia. When you want to claim the US did not have it as hard as it did just remember, the only thing that saved us at first was merely distance. Just look at how many Americans were lost and realize that no US cities were bombed nor any significant attack on the continental US. (excluding Attu and Kiska) We paid dearly, whats wrong we didn't have as many people die as you would have liked?
  13. please reread my response you seem to have missed a few words. And yes the Russians were awfully fucking busy themselves. So now what do you want to do, explain to me all about WWII or lend lease? Oh ok youre older...good for you.
  14. It's called a library John. That's outside assistance and "elitist", unless the mother mysteriously has her own library. The Public Library?
  15. Maybe you don't understand it at all, I suppose it did not make sense to you. The US and UK are unlike any two other nations, we fought against immense odds, had our backs to the wall and yet prevailed. I guess that would be an alien idea to most people from other countries. If it were not for the fact that we are inextricably connected in such a way maybe we would not have survived WWI, WWII, and the Cold war, which may have actually been WWIII.
  16. I'm curious as to how you think a welfare mother who dropped out of school at 14 will instill literacy in her children with no outside assistance. Maybe you should take a break from the corn fields of Iowa and take a drive through the inner city sometime. It's called a library John.
  17. That was so insightful, some people are now horrified, that others are smart enough to be aware of this. It may have never dawned upon them.
  18. here is the scenario, Iran goes from scan to target mode and suddenly that array receives a GBU33 or 60 of them. Ever see people run from a radar array? Missile battery commanders facing us know they will die right after, if not before they launch.
  19. China may well feel the same about the USA. Do you know of any country that actually truly believes they would win in a war against us? UK not part of this, as they are like our brothers, they will stick by us through thick and thin as we will for them always.
  20. The US has thousands of service personnel on ships in the Persian Gulf. Iran has thousands of anti-ship missiles within range of those ships. Phalanx (et al) aren't that good. The maths would be pretty simple. Casualties would be massive if Iran decided to make a large scale missile attack against US Naval assets... not to mention the trillions of dollars tied up in such large vessels. Yeah and Aegis class frigates/cruisers won't see anything moving under their AO. Plus I bet the Iranians can see our subs?
  21. Wow thats an awesome buck! Well how far was he from you when shot, and what did the bullet do? Nearly any animal on earth can be taken with a .308
  22. Ethiopia Prepared to Invade Somalia Wednesday, July 19, 2006 2:10 PM EDT The Associated Press By LES NEUHAUS NAIROBI, Kenya (AP) — Ethiopia is prepared to invade neighboring Somalia to defend its U.N.-backed government against what appeared to be an imminent attack by Islamic militiamen, a government spokesman said Wednesday. The militiamen, who hold most of southern Somalia, deployed hundreds of fighters outside the town where the largely powerless government is based and said they planned to seize it. "We have the responsibility to defend the border and the Somali government. We will crush them," Ethiopia's Minister of Information, Berhan Hailu, told The Associated Press. Seizing the town of Baidoa would give the Islamic militia — which the United States has linked to al-Qaida — the uncontested authority over most of Somalia. Somali transitional President Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed is allied with Ethiopia, and has asked for its support. Ethiopia has intervened militarily in Somalia in the past, and hundreds of Ethiopian troops have been spotted along the countries' border in recent weeks. The Somali Islamist militants are allied with Muslim separatists in the Oromo region of Ethiopia. Quote Looks like the Islamist Rebels in several countries in eastern Africa are finally getting some much needed attention (eradication?)
