Just saw a retired CIA agent on a program (about something completely different but) - made a point some of us have been trying to make for ages: secret plots don't stay secret for very long. Nice to hear it from a horse's mouth (maybe something to bear in mind when wading through the current dominant debate here about whose version of a patently ridiculous conspiracy theory is 'better' than the other one) Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.

Jo, it's a pretty famous painting called The Scream by a Norwegian artist, Edvard Munch (who has also painted some prettier pictures). It's in the Norwegian National Gallery (or equivalent not sure of exact name) in Oslo, and has been stolen and recovered a couple of times. PS Munch is one of my favourite artists and I hope I will be seeing this in the flesh in July... hoping it will not have been stolen again by then Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.

Jo, you may not have noticed, but you can't dictate what people post about. Like the incidents thread: if it upsets you, don't read it. Georger, of course you can train a chicken, at least at first (static line). When it comes to pulling its own ripcord of course you may have a problem. This may be exactly what happened to Cooper, subsequently relieved of most of his money by a lucky hiker and fed to the crawfish or a bear or whatever else calls the area home. How soon after the crime was that address published? Quite possibly it was that that caused the fear and led to her wanting to keep quiet/escape from "normal" daily life. Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.

The point has been raised before, but do you think it's consistent with the way Cooper was described as acting by the stews? Of course even if Cooper didn't know who she was before the crime, he definitely would have known after ... if he survived. Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.

Tina may have been the best witness 40 years ago. That doesn't mean she is the best witness now, and that's not any reflection on her state of mind, but simply a well documented fact on the unreliability of eyewitnesses, even a short time after the fact... as has been posted a number of times. You saw that guy that had been convicted of rape that was recently freed on DNA evidence? The victim ID'd him. Presumably he was convicted because the jury figured she had to be the best witness, and that wasn't even 40 years after the fact. Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.

Well, Jo, it has been made as plain as day to you many times that they don't. I am at a loss as to why you were thinking that in the first place. You know, sometimes you just have to accept things that are staring you in the face. I saw a week or so ago they (feds) arrested over 100 Mafioso in NY. I'm sure most American taxpayers think that is a far better use of their funds than DB Cooper. As someone who pays taxes there, what do you think? Better to hunt down 100 live criminals involved in murder, drugs, sex trafficking, racketeering etc now, or try solve a 40-year old crime where no-one was hurt and where everyone who has a vested interest won't accept it even if you do solve it and it's not their pet theory? How stupid do you think the rest of us are, Jo? See right through that one. Sorry. How is that a defense? You've been posting teasers to the forum for years now. How many of these have actually led to anything substantive? (From what I can see the answer is: zero.) Aren't you lucky Blevins came along so that after years of not really having an answer to these types of questions you now have the "excuse" of not writing a book? well.. about as substantive an excuse as any of the Duane arguments are. Most of this forum these days consists of people taking swipes at each other's "credibility" (as if anyone has any left) leading to continual back-and-forth arguments, accusations and finger-pointing.... and not very much actual Cooper stuff.
