  1. Sorry i posted this originally in the wrong place. Adrian came to our school(www.aldenham.com - go to media, and you will see a photo of him which he gave to us) as a pupil a while back, and we were privileged enough to have 1 hour 30 of his time where we shown all his skydiving achievments. we were amazed. But it wasn;t the skill he possessed which charmed us, but his wonderful humour and jokes he cracked while talking to us, and the generosity which he was filled with, which just radiated from him right from the start. the fact that we never knew him personally and only met him, and yet discovered these things in that shorter time is indicative of his wonderful character - imagine how many more wonderful things we could learn about him if we could spend more time with him. Also, on my first jump back in december, a tandem, his name was mentioned by a fellow experienced jumper, and only positive and lovely comments followed, not a bad word at all - again indicative of how fantastic a person he was. I only wish i started jumping earlier and could have spent time with him, yet i am very glad to say i was fortunate to be around when he gave that lecture, and that memory will never fade,- our school will miss him dearly, as will his family and friends, and my deepest thoughts and prayers go out to them. This is a very trajic loss, yet thankyou Adrian for opening our eyes to think outside the box, and a personal thankyou for introducing this wonderful sport to me via your wonderful presentation. Thankyou, and Blue Skies for ever.
  2. lol.!! That is certainly one very impressive photo.
  3. Thanks. just wish the Neptune was cheape!!
  4. i read on thier website that the London parachute school have done several shows with skydiving, so im guessing you could ask them for advice, and they might be able to help you.. Although i guess you would have to be very experienced.
  5. Good luck. Don't worry about your friends, if you wanna do it, go do it.
  6. Thanks, How often would one have to replace the bateries? Every couple of months?
  7. 0:0 gotta wait til 2nd october to complete AFF, then the fun should really begin!
  8. Warne also made the series interesting for the crowds - he kept england at bay so made it an intense match
  9. Ditto. The president can't be held responsible for everything.
  10. I thought Ricky ponting let himself down with some silly remarks, especialy being the captain. Australia played very well though, especially warne, and im annoyed Flintoff got the man of the season. Warne deserved it. Being a "pommie" im still glad to say its about time england won!!!!
  11. If youre not sure what things she likes, monesy is always good. Aloows her to buy what she wants
  12. Hey everyone, I think this was the right place to post this. in 2 weeks time, hopefully i will be able to finish AFF, but had previosely on other jumps been using the Altimaster 3 Galaxy altimeter. It was very good but slightly small to see. - still seeable but i had to look close, especially when going through cloud. thus, would the Altimaster Neptune be a better alti once AFF is finished ( i think that is when you can buy your own equipment)? ive read the reviews and have read about the pro's and con's, such as battery problems and it being flimsy, but would the bigger readout help more, or should i stick to the altimaster 3? Thanks in advance for any advice, Mike
  13. "sounding stupid" lol must add this - when going through the malfunction pictures, i was asked what to do when you get a slider hang up. Lol i said pull it down!!! litle did i know i would need 100m arms!!!! to the original point, should add, we all ask stupid questions, its part of learning.
  14. Your argument is empty Im pretty sure his mental stability is perfectly adequate, lying, i dunno. It is often hard to fully know the truth. He aint mad, and is a good president IMHo, although some disagree.
  15. relax and enjoy yourself. ASk your instuructors if you are unsure about something.
  16. Cool! Good luck with the rest of the course
