  1. For all those of us who aren't good at science, then "muscle memory wuill do!"
  2. Definately confidence. Good personality is nice to.
  3. Hey, Wow, passing the commando course must have been an amazing experience and congrats on doing it!
  4. Sorry - previous post was unclear. there should be regulations for those who do not have enough experience to handle good canopies, but banning things IMHO such as hooking and swopping is unfair. Although im still a student and cn't offer anything good advice wise, sometime in the future im looking forward to hooking and swooping eventually, and wouldn't like them to be removed because they were deemed dangerous. Its up to the person to decide what they wanna do. If they want a canopy which is fast, then let them have it. just my 2 cents, this isn't meant to inflame or cause trouble at all.
  5. I have no idea on to offer advice. But if people want to do that and get a canopy to early, then noone IMHO should stop them. Its theri choice what they do, as long as they don't effect others. Although this isn't the case if they get killed, as for their family etc. Banning things IMHO isn't the way to go.
  6. The cafe at old buckenham. Extensive menu, great food a lot served with your meal and great prices. What more could you ask?
  7. the wind at the Dz was terrible, got no jumps in this weekend, but am glad such limits exist. Although it would have been good to have jumped, I would have lacked both experience and control in order to get down safely, and would have messed up without a clue. Such limits are useful IMHO and keep us bumbling students safer than we would be if we jumped in them
  8. Although the Bodyflight was broken on saturday when we turned up, I think it would be fair to say that the customer service and ALL the staff are magnificent. They took time to help us rebook and showed us around the whole complex. not only was the tunnel very impressive, the staff were ultra excellent (if thats a word that exists!!). They do really try to help accomadate everyone and are exceptionally friendly staff. A very excellent place, and am lokking forward to trying it out very soon. If anyone wants to try it, one is guarenteed excellent and proffessional service.
  9. Like has been said, Pro Tec's are really good. I had a landing where i fell over moderately hard and knocked my head. didn't feel a thing. Very comfortable to wear to. I feel very secure in these helmets.
  10. In the UK the legal age for sex is 16 without parental consent. Also anything under 16 is illegal. I would make it 17. 16 is too young as some mature late, while 17 is a good comprimise between 18 and 16.
  11. lol isn't vertarbate something to do with having a spine?
  12. Congrats on passing your levels, glad you enjoyed them. Looks like you might be calling in sick a few more times then!!!
  13. Ooops, sorry i made my point very ambigous and confusing - what i meant was that they all share a common interest and roughly all share the same thirst for adventure and living life to the full. Sorry for any confusion, ive never been veyr good at expressing myself clearly without making a muddle of words! Thanks for the correction
  14. This is only a guess, but would it be fair to say that the self will dicision is what makes the bond close in skydiving - all skydivers think alike and have gone through the same training to get there? mike
  15. good point, lol i kinda forgot about a runway and plane!!! lol
  16. At college, they offer scuba and rock climbing. But not skydiving - that would be just as popular. If it was safer, why not offer it? Makes me think skydiving is slightly more risky, although all have their own risks.
  17. Thanks for sharing, thats very useful information
  18. I play drums and bassoon. Bassoon is used to back up trombones, i shouldn't really be in the band for that but was allowed to
