  1. Jerry, I'm no Lawrocket, but I guess what is bouncing around in the gray matter between my ears is a SALE considered a Contract. Is the sale of a cake similar to a contract? I wish to enter an agreement with a customer to purchase my goods. I'm I free to sell, am I not also free to Not sale. As in this case, does a business have freedom to conduct a sale and at the sometime refuse to make a sale. While conducting a store front do the owners check their individual rights at the door. The primary issue was not the sale, as much as it was to force compliance with a life style that the owner was not able to comply with. The gay couple were able to get their cake and eat it to, while grinding an ax.
  2. "Should scholarships be restricted only to women, or minorities? or men? Should there be such a thing as a women's only club? men's only club? Should there be such a thing as "Black TV"? gender only bathrooms?" NAACP comes to mind.
  3. Yep, stay out of it. They are doing a pretty good job of killing each other off. There is no need for us to enter and get between both sides that hate us and they start killing us off. Also I hear the number killed is somewhere North of 100,000. Why now, why a Red Line? Our government seemed to be fine with the methods they were using to kill each other and we saw no need to intervene. Now with Chemical Weapons?...Oh hell NO...that is a Red Line Damnit...any other method is OK, but not chemical weapons.
  4. Agreed, In an attempt to answer Wendy's response even if poorly performed I pose the following: In regards to the 1st amendment for example, an individual businesses and or an organization that owns a means of publication are able to publish information and opinions without government interference, and cannot be compelled by the government to publish information and opinions that they disagree with. How is it then an owner of a Bakery, is not afforded the same protections under the 1st amendment and or laws within the Bill of Rights as that of media? I'm thinking of the term, "Freedom of Association" (FOA). Maybe FOA doesn't apply in this case, but if an owner i.e. Bakery wishes to engage in a business that meets all health codes...., but may from time to time re-frame from entering into a contractual relationship with any entity or person for religious reasons, should they not have that right? You can count off for poor sentence structure
  5. Do you think churches should be forced to perform a same sex marriage when it goes against its beliefs. Should the state pass a law making such a requirement?
  6. Damn it Wendy, why do you always muddy up the water...why can't you just be indignant with me I have a response...just give me time to think of something...like tomorrow if possible.
  7. Well it seems the LGBT have a bitter taste in their month when it comes to Christian Bakery. http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2013/09/03/todd-american-dispatch-christian-bakery-closes-after-lgbt-threats-protests/
  8. I kept my $7,200.00 bonus...well I did give 10% as a gift to my pastor. Well let me take that back...after taxes I gave 10% to my pastor as a Christmas gift to him and his family, but then I kept the rest for myself. I did spread it around a bit...buying 100LL for the plane, which can be quite expensive. A new head set when flying in turbine aircraft. And then I added to my emergency fund at my local credit union so they can make money on my money.
  9. It could always be worse. Don Your article brings to mine the term, "Alienation of Affection". I wonder why the husband didn't bring civil action against the attorney. Maybe it wouldn't apply in this case, or maybe it was not allowed in this particular state.
  10. Andy9o8 and my son thank you for your advice. JerryBaumchen When it comes to hiring an attorney for such matters, its best not to go cheap...you get what you pay for. Hopefully a good attorney can minimize the PAIN.
  11. New Jersey, Florida....???? what other states have similar laws in effect? I wonder if you had been married in Texas as an example, but moved to Florida with your wife due to a job transfer and say 15 years later went through a divorce. Would the Laws of Texas apply or would you be in Florida family court with a Judge lubing up a bat getting ready to shove it up your ass as he/she delivers your judgment.
  12. He may (or may not) be able to avoid jailing by moving about, but he probably can't avoid the judgment, since the general rule is that judgments can be transferred to other states. Re: family law-type judgments like alimony, the transferability/enforceability thereof might vary from one state to another. 50 states, 50 separate sets of laws. What does this say about the Ex-Wife? Is she in a position legally to ask the court to amend and or cancel alimony payments? I don't recall if the article mentions any change in alimony if the former spouse is remarried or herself finds employment. Laws such as these, may make a man/women reconsider marriage and maybe even children if they face a possible lifetime of legal hell if the marriage were to end in divorce.
  13. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-08-26/jail-becomes-home-for-husband-stuck-with-lifetime-alimony.html I myself have been very blessed to be married to the girl I feel in love with more than 30 years ago. But I do have dear friends that have faced divorce. I have never heard of the Hell this man has been placed in, nor do I understand a legal system that is so designed to screw a man for the rest of his life like this case in New Jersey.
  14. "The notion that employers will stop offering health coverage (as a majority) ignores the huge competitive advantage benefit packages offer. It's a terrible business decision. It seems you are incorrect or maybe you don't read the news but I linked it for ya. From CNBC http://www.cnbc.com/id/100975973
  15. And there is this in the NEWS: http://www.bizjournals.com/atlanta/morning_call/2013/08/ups-to-drop-15000-spouses-from.html
  16. It's not hard to figure out. You've been told to stop the personal attacks, so now you admit can't respond. The greenies here may not say anything, but seriously kallend? You called rushmc a robot of his industry and insulted his employer and now you're trolling the hell out of gravitymaster and anyone else who will respond to you about personal attacks. This thread is garbage and it is 95% your doing. +1 I've just returned from a self imposed banning and dammit, I missed all the back and forth banter.
  17. Well, it is about the GOP debates and allowing them to control the nomination process within their own party. There is plenty of time after for a national debate between both parties once each has selected their candidate. OOPsey....I'm supposed to be BANNED from this site for the remainder of the week for my Bad behavior in an earlier post. I'll have my wife give me a good spanking this evening Damn...I just noticed by Post ends in 666, this is not good man....this is not good at all. I don't want to have to exit this way.
  18. I absolutely am intolerant, especially against those that try to force religious crap on the non-religious, and limit the freedom of my sisters, my nieces, and grand nieces to make their own decisions about their bodies. It comes from growing up in an Irish/Italian Catholic neighborhood, while not being indoctrinated into ANY religion by my parents. The "Christians" were real good at tormenting the "others" who did not go to church, had parents who both had college degrees, and took their children to the big city every weekend for book shopping and cultural events. These people were "the pillars of the community", in theory. In practice, they were and are narrow minded sheeple that are all messed up on the lord. The dirtbags ran an African American family out of the neighborhood via cross burning and vandalism. I moved out when I was 17. A dirtbag from the neighborhood tried to pick a fight with me 20 years later when I was at a package store in my home town. He must have forgotten what I did to the jocks that attacked me. I stopped to buy beer on the way to visit a friend in another town. I was tanned, fit, and happy, on a visit from California. I didn't recognize the fat dirtbag as Wesley, at first. Then he started in on the christian bullshit, asking if I had ever taken Jesus into my heart, etc etc. I laughed, and said no, not at all. I told him I got a clue and moved to a civilized part of the world better known as Silicon Valley, so as to get far far away from people like him. If he hadn't started talking, I never would have recognized him, or said anything to him. The packy owner knew Wesley as a troublemaker and called the cops without my knowing it. Wesley followed me out the door, ready to rumble, and quickly shut up and tried to walk away when he saw the cops. The cops stopped him and me and asked what was going on. Once the situation was explained, Wesley was forced to apologize to me, and was let go as I did not want to press charges. If the fat fuck had laid a finger on me, I was ready to go off and tear his eyeballs out with my teeth. There are NO RULES if you are attacked first. Biting chunks out of a bicep, kicking knees or 'nads, sticking your fingers or thumbs into the eye socket, chewing off the ears, or whatever else you can do is fair game if you are attacked first. When I was fifteen, a coordinated attack by three jocks that knew me from middle school days resulted in broken ribs and loss of eyeglasses, along with severe bruising and damage to my ACL. After I recovered, I ambushed each of the attackers over a few days, with a baseball bat. Each one got their knee blown out from under them from behind, followed by a brutal assault on the knee with the bat. So much for their athletic careers. Each one received permanent, crippling injury to their knees. I was not the only victim of their coordinated assaults. After I was done with them, they never assaulted anyone else. Imagine that. They didn't play sports anymore, either. I was fortunate to have a group of good friends from my out of town school who provided a bulletproof alibi for the revenge attacks. No one in town ever fucked with me again. The pigs could not get me to crack and admit the attacks and my alibi stood up. The pigs beat on me as one of the ones I got was the son of a town selectman, and the cops thought I would cave. It didn't work, but sure gave me a lifelong disrespect for the LEO profession. The parents tried civil court, but didn't get far due to the bulletproof alibi, and the fact that my mom was a single parent at that point. When it comes to the religious nitwits, you bet I am intolerant. I have had enough of that shit to last a lifetime. "WOW....I'll say it backwards, "WOW". You don't seem to be a FUN person to hang around. But JESUS loves you anyway OK BILL, I deserve a serious warning...I personally BAN myself for the remainder of the week.
  19. I was reading an article on the Oscar Mayer Boy, and there were attached comments at the bottom of the article. This comment stood out. " It tells us all we need to know. But most registered Democrats under 30 have trouble reading and especially comprehending something they tried to read. How can they be informed..? Can CNN and MSNBC and NBC start doing Puppet shows...?"
  20. I'm wondering if Bob Filner and Anthony Weiner qualify as "Creepy White Ass Crackers"? If you were walking through a neighborhood with an Ice Tea and skittles and Anthony Weiner were following you, and possibly on the phone with Bob Filner. It's possible they want to get all up into your goodies.
  21. I liked it. Finally a Black Man that is simply an American. With that I will no longer consider myself a European American.
  22. OK...damn I couldn't find it in the DEM play book or the Rep play book. I did find it in Dr. Paul Joseph Goebbels Propaganda Play book. "Mein Kampf" "das Grosse Luge" So we are both wrong.
  23. WHAT?? "repeat a lie frequently enough and it soon must be a fact." I thought that was directly out of the DEMs Play Book...I'm going back deep into my super secret DEM files and look this up.
  24. And all of the near term disasters about to happen have been under democratic control for decades Surprised? I think the point made within DZ.COM often is that conservatives are a bunch of Hay-Seed-Hick dumb asses and the Dems are the educated ones that know best on how to spend money, social engineering, education, govern the nation.....blablablablabla. If it weren't for all of us Southern Ass Holes with our hands held out, thumping our bibles and holding onto our guns things would be so much better. My father told me the following quote, "To error is human, to blame someone else is more human."
