That's a "nice" summary? That article is nothing more than a full spin mental masturbation piece. It's a "masterstroke" allright, and probably the most expensive hand job I've ever heard about That aside, I really do think it's great. Rush makes a typical, arrogant, loudmouthed mistake, pays $2 mil for it and it goes to a good charity. It's all good! first, where's the "spin"? it appears to summarize what happened prety accurately. second, what "mistake" did rush make? the people he was refering to ARE phoney soldiers. he did nothing wrong. i also don't think rush has a problem with the $2 million. he's got plenty of money and will see far more than $2 million worth of publicity and at the same time exposing the democratic leadership for the jack-asses that they are. they screwed the pooch on this one. i don't know what parameters for a near miss are, but i was approximately 4 1/4 miles southeast of the southeast end of the runways. between me and the runway were two planes, one southwest airline plane on final and one a-10 flying perpendicular to the runway and two more a-10s in line behind it and one in line in front of it. i saw something a little strange the other day and i was wondering if these things were reported and could i read about it. i was driving in the direction of boise airport. there were 4 a-10s circling the airport and then landing one by one, which is normal for that airport. at the same time, a southwest flight was on final. the landing gear was down. i can google earth the distance from my truck to the runway if it matters. one of the a-10s appeared to pass between the southwest plane and the runway. the southwest plane banked left and then right. the banks weren't hard. they looked more like he was changing what runway he would land on rather than doing an evasive manuver. (i can't remember if boise has two parallel runways, that is just the best way i can describe what i saw). i took my eyes off the planes because i was driving at the time, but when i looked back up, the southwest plane had aborted the landing and wasa doing a go-around. i don't know if the planes were close enough to be considered a near-miss*, but i've never been on a comercial flight that did these things on final. * why is it a "near-miss"? to me, a near miss is when maybe the wing tips of two plane hit each other, nearly missing each other, but actually hitting. if they did miss each other, shouldn't it be a near-hit? Cessna Caravan crashed in the Cascades-Skydivers on board
TrophyHusband replied to Amazon's topic in The Bonfire
i have the same question. i also saw a report that stated that the effort has shifted from a search and rescue to a recovery. the info we has right now is that there are three people who had access to parachutes who were not found in the wreckage. have investigators counted rigs? are they doing a broad search for the missing three? if not, why not? it just doesn't make sense to say there are 10 fatalities when only 7 people have been found. Cessna Caravan crashed in the Cascades-Skydivers on board
TrophyHusband replied to Amazon's topic in The Bonfire
the tree canopy in that area can be thick enough to easily hide a plane crash from aerial view. the area is also very rugged and you can't see very far on the ground. you could walk very close to a wreckage and not even see it. these are the best pics i can find of the area they plan went down. it is about 46 miles fro where the pic was taken to the top of mt rainier in the distance. between the two there are numerous logging roads, but only one paved highway that i'm aware of. one report said that the plane did a 360 turn before going down. i can only hope that it was a go around to let everybody out. however unlikely, that is what i am choosing to believe until i hear somethng different. having slept in my parachute before, i know that zp can keep you warm. it is also hunting season, so there are lots of people wandering around in the woods right now. Senator Larry Criag Now Vows to Stay in Office
TrophyHusband replied to Gawain's topic in Speakers Corner
he needs to resign and dissappear whether he's guilty or not. by the way, i think he's guilty. he folded when he should have went all in. gov. otter has already decided on a replacement for him and it would be best for idaho to put all of this behind us. i spent 6 years in the navy and am now married to a woman in the air force. i can tell you from experience, the grass ain't so green from this side of the fence either, and my wife rarely has to leave town, although she works 80+ hours a week, so sometimes she might as well be gone. whether your wife deserves 50%, i don't know without the details. if she fucked around on you, she shouldn't get much, but otherwise she is entiltled to something. how do you keep hydration tube from freezing?

i'll check into that. i have the neoprene insulation, but it obviously doesn't help much. "Your scrotum is quite nice" - Skymama www.kjandmegan.com -
how do you keep hydration tube from freezing?
TrophyHusband replied to TrophyHusband's topic in The Bonfire
i climbed mt st helens for the third time last weekend. the weather was nasty and there was no view, but it was fun anyway. the problem i had was that my hydration tube kept freezing. i'm sure this is a common problem with likely an easy solution. the two solutions i can think of is to either put the whole tube inside of the pack, making it necessary to remove your pack for a drink, or to put it inside of your jacket. what's best? i've never had it, but i've been told it ranges from really bad to good depending on what the bear is eating. one constant that i've heard is that its greasy. "Your scrotum is quite nice" - Skymama www.kjandmegan.com

i knew someone who wanted bear meat and i wanted a bear rug. i enjoy hunting. what difference does it make if the meat gets eaten by the person pulling the trigger or someone else? either way the meat is being enjoyed by someone. "Your scrotum is quite nice" - Skymama www.kjandmegan.com

i think that the bear was strolling down the hill, saw or smelled me and got scared. he then wanted to get to cover as quick as possible, which meant he had to run right past me. the fish and game guy said my bear was likely 2 1/2 years old. "Your scrotum is quite nice" - Skymama www.kjandmegan.com

i don't do that for deer either. the only ritual i have is to drink crown royal from the bottle while skinning the animal. i'm out of crown, so last night i had to substitute wild turkey. i'll be hitting the liquor store before elk season next week. sorry, i was unaware of bear etiquette. this is my first time ever bear hunting and i did it alone. too late now, he's already been tagged by fish and game and he's chilling at the taxidermist. "Your scrotum is quite nice" - Skymama www.kjandmegan.com

the terrain where i hunt is extremely rugged, and that makes anything you do a lot of work. the hunting itself isn't that hard though. there's no berry crop this year and the bears are having a hard time finding enough food. this makes baiting them even easier, but many bears have already been destroyed because they've wandered into cities looking for food. many more will starve to death this winter. make no mistake, if i could legally take him, i would. next year i will buy a muzzle loader tag which will allow me to hunt cows during rut. i'll bring a good camera and hopefully i can call him in and get some pics before taking one of his tasty cows. a friend's cousin really likes the meat, so i gave it all to him. i said he's going to grill it. another friend's mom is korean and was very happy to get the gall bladder. "Your scrotum is quite nice" - Skymama www.kjandmegan.com

i went back up there tonight with a cow call hoping to call in that bull and get a pic of him, but the wind was blowing hard. i called a couple of times but either got no reply, or couldn't hear it because of the wind. nothing was moving. this was the first time in there that i didn't even see deer. i was very disappointed to find the bacon and pancakes i left yesterday untouched. i resigned myself to the fact that i wasn't going to see anything, but i was happy to be in the woods anyway and decided to stick it out until dark anyway. it was a good choice. not here in idaho. muzzle loader regs are strict. other states allow muzzle loaders that are damn near like modern rifles. "Your scrotum is quite nice" - Skymama www.kjandmegan.com

not likely. i missed a bear last week. in my defense though, he scared the shit out of me. i heard something running behind me and when i turned around, a bear was barreling down the hill in my general direction at under 50 yards. i quickly fired three shots at it, but missed all three times. he did change course though. i was shaking so hard from adrenaline, i could barely reload. just like with pheasant hunting, i forget to lead a moving target. i put a leupold VX-II 3-9x40 on the rifle. http://www.leupold.com/hunting-and-shooting/products/scopes/vx-ii-riflescopes/vx-ii-3-9x40mm/ i like it, but i think it would be better suited on my 30-06. i want to replace it with the leupold VX-L 3.5-10x56. http://www.leupold.com/hunting-and-shooting/products/scopes/vx-l-riflescopes/vx-l-3-5-10x56mm/ "Your scrotum is quite nice" - Skymama www.kjandmegan.com
