I knew it was something strange back then (2003) as some of the locals around our table protested when he ordered it for me, but as it tasted OK I never gave it much though. Reading it now makes it seems like Haggis I'm not realy into innards, but a SA speciality is "Skilpaadjies" (Little Turtles ) - slices of sheep liver wrapped in kideny fat & cooked on a BBQ. Not to my taste, but some people love'em! A VERY MERRY UNBIRTHDAY TO YOU!!! D.S # 125

Andouillette... I asked my French 'friend' to order a speciality for me whilst in Champagne & that's what I got. Must admit I thought it quite tasty. Never knew exactly what it was until I looked it up now & all of a sudden I'm not sure I want to try it again But it WAS tasty... A VERY MERRY UNBIRTHDAY TO YOU!!! D.S # 125

[replyI received an email from her foster mom last night. She was listed as being in Alberta but she's actually located in Quesnel, BC. Told her that location wasn't an issue (what's a 9 hour drive each way! - my friend and I are due for a road trip anyway!). Just waiting to hear back.
