    Must admit it felt like that for me when I jumped without my Vigil for a few months. It's amazing that the fact that it 'might' have to save your life delivers so much peace of mind. Compared to many of the posts here, I guess I'd be called extreme (by the OP's definition). It's not that I go looking for trouble, but just the environment I was trained in. During 4-way we never broke off before 2.5K, 'cause that wasted airtime. (We only got 9K as a rule) Many times a dz doesn't have (had) someone experienced in what you want to achieve. Those are the times you push the boundaries & see what happens. Not because you have a death wish, but because you want to progress. It may seem extreme to some but everyone has their own comfort zone when it comes to a saftey envelope... If coaching is available, get it! If it's not available, plan properly, weigh all possible outcomes & decide if you want to try it. Not conforming does not mean extreme, does it? A VERY MERRY UNBIRTHDAY TO YOU!!! D.S # 125

    OK, so by reading people's posts you kinda get to know 'em & I don't mind being friends with people I haven't met in person. Exchanging e-mails or pm's help, but there are many people on here that I already feel I know a little. I'm still not going to request friends just for shits & giggles, though. What to do when you receive a friend request from someone you've never even noticed around here, let alone exchanged posts/emails/pm's with?     Congrats to Bill! I did 2 jumps with him at Citrusdal, SA, in March '98. Hard to believe 10 years have passed & great to know he's still enjoying the sport!
