Hey Jimbo, good to see your still in the skydiving world. I did 68 sport jumps in my early 20s while in the service in '72-'73. Quit when I got married shortly there after. Made my first jump after a 23 yr. layoff in '97 and now have 650+. I do most all our tandem and aff video and recently recieved my Pro rating. By the way Jimbo, I finally got my first PC (never could afford one on military pay) about a month ago. I'm getting it set up in a rig now to jump when I want to reminisce about the round days.

I hate to say it but Joey is right. If some one is deeply in to alcohol about all you can do is encourage them to stop or cut down on consumption. I read alot of pamplets on the subject when I wanted my brother to get ahold of his problem. Everything I read says they are the ones that have to make up their own mind to stop. Be there to encourage them and give them a shoulder to lean on is about all you can do.

I have had several near-out of body experiences. When I like get really drunk and puke, it feels like my guts are comming outa my body. Anyone else had them??? -
Bwwwhhhhaaa!!! I jump Paracomanders for old time sake!!! I believe 75% of my 650 jumps are from a c-182. I have jumped a CASA, King Air (Mullins), Otter, SkyVan, C-130, 727 Jet, Beech, Caravan, just to name a few but I think I would miss jumping a 182. I video from a C-182 now.

Done the nekkid thing. Just want to make 1000. I'm at about 650 and 52 yrs. old so i'm pushing the time line. Nah, I plan to be jumpin at 60.

It use to be when I drove one of the Shriner vans taking kids to the hospital in Shereve Port, LA. Nothing can make you feel better seeing the kids outside being able to run for the first time after getting their braces and being able to do like other kids. Kinda wish I was still involved in the Shriners.

I chose to stay here in Oklahoma when I got divorced after 23 yrs. Except I moved from the center of the state up to the northeast corner to marry my non-jumping-but-knows-almost-as-much-as-me-about-skydiving wife. It seems to be far enough from the EX.

Ask Chili Relaneo. He drives for Melton and has been to our DZ here in Tulsa Oklahoma more than twice. If you get out on the road come by Skydive Tulsa. We will make sure you get in the air (weather permiting).

I will never grow up. I still do what I want without regard to wheather it's for younger people or not. I'm 52 and finally got my tatoo, I wear clothes I think look good on me even if mainly younger people wear them. I will not dress a certain way or only do certain things just because of my age. I admit there is a limit but I don't dress and act like i'm 21, but I refuse to dress and act like most other 50 year olds!!! -

Why not call them Jumpers until they progress to solo freefall, then call them skydivers??? -

I quit for 3 yrs and one thing that helped was to keep reminding myself of all the things I hated about smoking. Like when the smoke gets in your eyes and burns like hell. The smell of a smoldering butt ( cig butt that is). How you and your clothes smell. The ashes all over your house and car. How the great looking women give you that disgusted look when you light up and try to look cool (because they evidently don't smoke). I'm sure you know of other things that bother you. Just keep reminding yourself when you get the urge. Hope this helps!!!

It's certainly got me confused!!!! I just got mine Sat. and they gave me a tube of Vitimin A&D cream to apply at least 6 times a day. One question I have is concerning why she is haveing so much trouble only one or two days after the tatoo?? Mine just barely whelped up. No blood, no bleeding. Did it get infected that quick?? Also they said do not cover it up and don't use neosporin. But if it is infected I would say to hell with the tatoo and try to get it healed and try again some other day.

I say if it's a tatoo of something YOU really like and not because everybody is wearing one then go for it. I'm 52 and have thought of getting one for a very long time. I just didn't know what design I wanted. After getting into doing native american art (pencil drawing) I figured out exactly what it would be. The ceremonial buffalo skull. If you don't see one like you want I have a print of one like my tatoo and will send it to you.

Why so many jumps before one can fly camera?

This post hits it on the head. There is SO much going thru your head just to get good video that you have to be able to fly with out giving it too much thought. I also try to give the tandem a visual once over in freefall for anything that looks out of place. I don't get to every dive but I try to. -
20-23 gust or no gust. I won't video in winds over 20. Can't see doing tandems in those kinda winds. Ain't worth the risk.

Hell no I wouldn't date a girl. I'm married!!! Been through divorce once. Ain't goin again.
