Umm, I am not saying the behaviour (the pulled handles, etc.) isn't deplorable; but didn't something like this (effectively ratting someone out to their boss) just happen to PhillyKev? And it was REALLLLY not cool? I don't care if he did it or not - if he really is an ATC (which I tend to seriously doubt), would you trust someone who has such a poor lack of judgement to guide aircraft? I may not be a Fed anymore, but I'm still tight with some, so I hope he is an ATC, I really do, because when I'm done with him, he won't be one anymore either. mh . The only absolutely, totally unacceptable behavior I have seen here is displaying a willingness (eagerness!) to fuck with someone's job cause you were pissed at what they wrote. I'm with you, the fear mongering in America is really getting out of hand. I'd say we're only 2-3 years away from herding all the Muslims into gas chambers. Well, maybe not that quickly, but at least within Bush's second term. Great comparison. I am only secondarily concerned with what we do with Muslims (guess I'm just the insensitive type). My primary concern is what I see us doing with US citizens. How do you think social sysems change? Poof! and things are radically different? I'm guessing you're young. Well, I'm old, old enough to gain a bit of perspective of how things change over a period of years and decades. To ask a rhetorical question, how many German citizens saw the gas chambers coming? To answer you somewhat theatrical question, no, we won't build gas chambers. We condemned that pretty harshly at one time, I doubt we could pull it off without biffing. I don't know precisely where we are going. I see the direction, however, and am concerned. If you are not, then you should be fairly bursting with happiness and patriotic pride right now. Dunno about the who motivation for attack thing, but I found the comparisons of German and American citizens both being led astray by (and enthusiastically backing) fear mongering leaders with the resulting slide to fasism most chilling. John

If your adult enough to get into a relationship at your DZ, one would hope that your adult enough that if it ends you can still be friends and not bring a bad vibe to your DZ. After all, there was something that brought the two individuals together (hopefully something more than just sexual), and once hurt feelings are healed, the friendship will hopefully still be there. Yes, one would hope that would be the case. Given that sometimes things end badly, would you agree that perhaps a bit of extra consideration should be given befdore starting a relationship at the DZ, or, whould it just be, 'fuck them, I'll date who I choose, when I choose and where I choose' ? How many here have ever experienced friendly vibes all around turn to bitterly divided cliques at your DZ??? Would this be a factor in your choice? John

Have you never been at a DZ with a recent breakup of a local couple and felt the uneasy vibes? Have you ever seen it progress to people choosing between on or the other faction with repurcussions that can be detrimental for a long time? I remember one where many (myself included) just packed up and went elsewhere cause it just got nasty. I admit, I'm old school all the way. Never much bought into the 'it's all about me' stuff (at least at the DZ) ...or being new here, perhaps I missed some inside joke and CRW's comments were indeed a jocular part of a running joke. John
