    And Buffalonians handle the cold and the snow is such stride - I was out your way a few years ago when you guys got the 8 foot snowfall during the holidays - Everyone takes it in such stride - Just need an extra day to shovel out is all!     Pretty damn clever! I'm impressed! Think maybe that would make some neat Christmas cards!!?? My brother's wife is an "art therapist" (Don't ask- she sent six years plus getting the degree-) - I wonder if stuff like that would help schizophrenics? -

    15 vacation days plus 5 sick days plus holidays, and we have 1 floater. We get two weeks initially, the we get another week (five days) every five years with the company. I've already used up much of my time for 2005 with this injury. We can also arrange to take unpaid time off up to 30 days. We have short-term disablilty that kicks in after 15 days, and we get one week for each year of service. I'm good until mid February. Easy Does It

    Good excercise ideas! I've been told about some like that and others for working on side-to-side motion, also. I don't think I would try to jump down several staris and land on one foot either! Maybe land on one foot and favor the bad one, but not both.

    At this point in time I'll be more than happy to fix a plate of food without help! I'm still hobbling on crutches. I think once I get get up and about, and do something constructive around the house I'll be happier. Recovery, I will not be rushing it. I need to get back into some excercise though - Sitting on my butt is causing some fat to latch on my gut. Not good! I do have plans to get ahold of larger canopy - I've got a classified posted to swap my 150 for a 170. I'd prefer a Spectre but I'll consider others. Don't know what the doc will say yet - I see him Wednesday to get the cast off. I have no idea if he's going to put me in a walking cast or ?? But I sure don't plan on jumping until I can handle it.     Rantoul was very fortunate and worked hard for what they got. They were trying to attaract a major airline (united I think) to open a maintenance depot there. Even though that fell through, they still did well to preserve the town and help it flourish. The majority of communities surrounding bases that were "realigned" turned into little more than ghost towns, in spite of rather heroic efforts to avoid that. Easy Does It

    I think military experience is extremely valuable. One of the factors that makes our military vastly superior, is that we are a 100% volunteer force. I encourage military service, there are so many benefits both tangible and intangible, for the individual and the country. I don't belive we would have the quality force ot the dedication if we forced (read draft) our troops. However, if need be, I support drafting if absolutely required. I have faith that it would be highly unlikely, that there will be plenty of volunteers. I don't think it's fair to classify our armed forces as a bunch of mindless, ignorant lemmings, that some liberals seem to enjoy doing. Did you know that France, (Yes, France, among many other countries-) has mandatory military service for many of it's young men fresh out of high school? Impressive, eh? Easy Does It
