  1. I considered AFF and Static Line both, and opted for S/L as I got more jumps for the buck. Easy Does It

  3. I couldn't agree more - That applies not only to skydiving, but pretty much everything in life. Easy Does It
  4. Noticed the is no poll, then realized, of course there is no poll! Because we are men, the is only one possilbe answer, so the need for a poll is moot. Now, where the hell are all the pictures??? Easy Does It
  5. Like this? Edited to add - Next suit I would switch the leg grips to black and add inside grips. The white leg grips look nice but could present judging issues and show dirt really easily. Easy Does It
  6. Maybe wait and see what kind of character and disposition he has and go from there? Is he going to remain a stallion or will he be gelded? Easy Does It
  7. I've had that song go through my head alot of times when I see my shadow - I hope one day to get a good video shot of it. Easy Does It

  9. About 1,800 tunes, most of it pirated by my son via LimeWire. Limewire also screwed up some stuff somehow on the laptop, We get a new desktop this spring, and he will be very limited as to what he can and cannot do with it. Easy Does It
  10. That opening/intro music from the David Letterman show would be mine. Easy Does It
  11. My son does pretty much the same thing, except with a pair of powered stereo speakers from an old desktop. Plugs right in to the headphone jack on our laptop and works great. He also does the same thing with his MP3 player. Easy Does It
  12. Where is The Farm? Website? Easy Does It
  13. I've got a long weekend coming up from March 30 to April 2nd - I just have to be back by Sunday afternoon - Looking for some place to go (driving distance) and have extreme fun (read- hedonistic) for those few days. Any suggestions?? Easy Does It
  14. At four years in the sport, 425 jumps, (most all RW) a 1.25:1 wingloading, (under a Sabre 2 now-) one cutaway, one AAD fire, one broken ankle, a Coach rating, loss of two good friends in one year, and one divorce, (in process) - I consider myself to be "somewhat experienced". Easy Does It
  15. (joking) How'd you know that's what I had in mind? Actually I'll be waiting a while before hooking up with another lady. Takes time to get your head back together. In the meantime, I'll be able to focus more on my son and jumping! Easy Does It
  16. Hahahaha! Well, she's being nice and not persuing things like alimony or my retirement funds, so it's not so bad. Besides, I may very well go out and buy another after all is said and done. I've been wanting a Night Train - - Easy Does It
  17. You got my good vibes too, my man! I'm going through my 2nd divorce, also. Totally blows. Had to sell my Harley even. (But not my gear!) Easy Does It
  18. My son and I were watching the ski jumpers and noticed thier body posistion isn't much different than a skydiver in a track - De-arched torso, etc. I noticed some of the jumpers had thier palms down and some had them turned in. I wonder why? Easy Does It
  19. I've been a beer drinker pretty much my entire adult life - I'm one of those blue-collar guys who likes a beer after work every day, and maybe a few more on the weekend. I have all the respect in the world for folks who choose to abstain. It's all good, my man! What I don't like is the folks who preach and tell me I'm going to die and go to hell for drinking. Easy Does It
  20. One reason my STBE would never feed me certain foods - I would fart like the barber's cat. Easy Does It
  21. Your Mom should have a handbook on her health insurance coverage. It's not typically excluded from policies. Looking at the big picture, a very small percentageof the population jumps. So the risk to the company is small. Lots more get injured in auto accidents, for instance, and the insurance companies have no issue covering them. Life insurance policies however, are a different story. even though you can get coverage, an individual may get "rated up" (charged a higher premium) if they participate in "hazardous activities". When I was working for a large life insurance company in a rural area, I had quite a few clients paying higher premiums because they raced stock cars as a hobby. The company I work for is self-insured. When I broke my ankle to the tune of about 20 grand, then paid all but a few hundred dollars of the bill, no questions asked. Easy Does It
  22. 'bout $2.20 - $2.25 here in Illinois - Easy Does It
  23. Got 'em snipped after my son was born - This cowboy shoots blanks now. Easy Does It
  24. I've got a pair of prescription sunglasses, the frames are made by Killer Loop. Nice wrap-around, but not airtight. I can wear them under any pair of goggles or full-face helmet, and they look super cool on the ground. Easy Does It
  25. Yucky city water - May have some nasties in it that like to get stinky when it sets idle for a while - May I suggest a full-flow water filter with an activated charcoal filter element. No more nasty-smelling water. I use the same thing in my home, we have a nasty sulfer smell/tase from our well water and the filter does wonders. We change the element about once every two months.
