Perhaps because both of my bosses are out of town this weekend, I'm in charge of an entire assisted living if this shit hits the fan, and I have NO clue what to do. Regardless of where it hits, lookat the size of that storm. It's big enough to eat Florida alive. __

Feb is a pretty happening time in FL. If you rent a car, in 7-10 days you can check out 3-4 places, most FL DZs are withing 1-2 hours of each other with teh wind tunnel in between. ZHills is my favorite for vibes/fun and variety, Sebastian's view kicks ass and the Bytch is there, Lake Wales is great too, and post-Charley is actively rebuilding I believe. __

Looks like another big swirly rain cloud is pointed at FL this weekend. Hope the east coast battens down the hatches!!! Is it really necessary for a cat 3 and cat 4 to hit within 2 weeks of each other? __

you were in BWI yesterday??? We were too. FOr like 5 hours. we tried calling you actually, but I had your old number in my phone. booo!!! __

Air Tran is the most whacked out airline I have ever dealt with. These people loaded us on a plane in BWI. 20 mins later or so, they tell us there is a mechanical problem. Then we unload the plane, to find out that the plane at the gate next DOOR has a mechanical problem, and what's really going on is they are letting those people have OUR plane (which was full) to go to Boston. They were trying to decide what to do with us 100+ people trying to get connections in Atlanta. An hour or so later, they tell us to go to another gate, where one poor girl had to deal with everyone. They said we'd be boarding in a few minutes. Funny, those few minutes come and go with no updates. SOmeone then declares there must be weather somewhere.they gave us $7 food vouchers (you can't get anything for $7 in the airport, and they wouldn't take it for beer!) and finally stuck us on a plane. Of course, we missed our connection. Finally, our 6:11 PM flight left Atlanta at 10:45 PM. It's all Clay's fault. I'm sure these things dont happen when he's around. __

HANS! wTF do you go to ZHills, not tell me, and go a weekend when I'm in baltimore?? We flew airtran last night and actually had great flights, and early! __

FLorida is not such a miserable place in December/January. It's warmer than Arizona (especially at night), and it's not hte rainy season that time of year. Considering all that Lake Wales is going through right now, I can't wait to do some jumping there to help them get rolling again. I'm sure eloy is a blast over the holidays as well, but Florida is not such a bad place to be. If you get *stuck* at collegiates, you can always check out a few other DZs. ZHills and the tunnel are within an hour and Sebastian/Deland/Space Center are within two hours. THe Hills has a rocking New Years eve party, and I'm sure the other places do as well, although I haven't checked those out. It's nice to be "home" for the holidays.
