    Hey all, trying a new place for a Wednesday night location to get together. Pacific Coast Brewing is in downtown Oakland, one block west of Broadway. PCB has a nice sized patio with lots of beers and food to sample. No hard liquor, but they do have wine and cider for the non beer drinkers.(Hey, there are actually skydivers that don't drink beer) We plan on being there at 7:30.     Stevie, As the others have posted, there are a lot of us who live near by. I went through AFF at Hollister, but jump at most of the DZs in the area. Which one depends on my mood and what is happening that weekend. Between Hollister, Byron, Davis and Lodi, you have a great selection of turbines to jump from with incredible staff to complete your AFF.     :4:0 2 8K and 1 3K HnP to play with my new canopy/container. 1 8 way RW jump to end the day. Once the main decides which way it wants to open, it is a blast to fly. Packing that new ZP canopy in the nearly 100F weather sure was fun. And yes, that last 0 for owing beer is correct. I jumped it last week and has been paid.     Now having put two weekends of jumping on my new rig, I guess it's time to post pictures. My old gear that I bought used was pretty comfortable. Little did I know how comfortable it could be. It fits like a glove and the cut in laterals hold it to my back like it is part of me. I just love that new rig smell. VSE makes one beautiful rig. Thanks Kelly.

    One of our packers taught me. I went in on a Friday night and he spent a good 2 hours teaching me and more time the next day watching me when I had questions. I paid for his time. Not just in skydiving but in general. If I ask for help from a buddy for something he does for a living, I always offer some sort of compensation. If they refuse, I'll at least make sure to get the beer next time. Besides, bringing beer to your DZ is NEVER frowned upon. 50 donations so far. Give it a try.     I work as a consultant on an "On call" basis. The client provides the office and supervision. The only regular contact I have with my boss is turning in a timecard every two weeks. I have worked with this client for over 6 years. They trust me to do my job and leave me alone. My direct supervisor is also a consultant and we get along great. I really do like my job.
