  1. Mind if I steal that? I'll give you the credit. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity
  2. Half a sphere would be 7.66 yds deep at the center. Hell of a lot more digging than .5 yds for a flat bottomed cylinder. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity
  3. Yeah, but I see you prefaced it as a WAG. Typical engineer. I pulled out my old Means and actually looked it up. Have to admit though, you were pretty close. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity
  4. I can see why you hate math. Area of a circle is pi * r^2, not pi * r. ZZM is correct, +/- a yard or two. Weight of pea gravel is 1.3-1.5 tons per yard, depending on if it is hard rock or not. Yep, putting in a pea pit that size is not cheap. In Northern California, with tax and delivery, I'd say his WAG of $5K would be closer to the cost. *Edit* Steve, beat me to it. 50 donations so far. 6. I grew up with german sheppards. Great dogs, just lots of hair. I have doggy sat boxers and pitt bulls. Since then, I would love to have either. The boxers were lovable goofs. The pitts were very smart and always wanted to be close by. Almost like they didn't want to be left behind, and as self appointed protection for the family. Both families had kids that hung on them and I never heard a snarl or saw bared teeth. But as said, watch them around the wee ones. A dog can act differently around kritters/kids about their same size. Socialization is the key with all dogs. I second the veto on cockers spaniels. They are one of the most nippy dogs. Due to the floppy ears, ear problems are common. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity

  9. *gulp* Amazon still owes me a couple and now you? I think I'd rather have Skymama with her paddle. If you are in the Bay Area, let me know. A will be waiting for you. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity
  10. Hmmm... Just so happens Bigun will be in the Seattle area in July. Wouldn't that make a heckuva picture to put on dropzone.com. Me bent over Amazon's knee with a paddle over her head. Wonder if that would make the dz.com 2008 calendar? Who ever takes the picture will have to stand way back to get you both in frame. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. 13. Scott, I have jumped my Infinity with my WS with no issues. Standard corners. It has the floating laterals, so no comment on the older style. Kelly is now offering dynamic corners, so might be worth a call to see how he makes the mod. boy
  14. On a recent 4 way jump with two freeflyers that are very seldom on their belly and a 85 jump wonder, we turned 11 points. Not a huge number of points, but we all had a big smiles on our faces the entire time. That's what it is all about. The only expectation we had was having fun. That we nailed.
  15. Then tell 2fat2fly to get me some new material! 2f2f is too busy riding Shropshire's girly Harley. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity

  17. To tell you the truth, after 4 weekends in a row of jumping in at least +90F sunny weather, I was planning on going to Seattle to get nice cool cloudy weather and just hang out since skydiving would not be an option. Sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate. Oh, and thanks for thinking about my ice cream. I'll just have it eat it a little faster. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. 19. 0:5:0 5 belly jumps. Did a fun 4 way. It included a 85 jump wonder and 2 freelyers who haven't turned RW points in years. Made 11 points and had a blast doing it. Tried a rodeo with me being the bronco and johnsw71 the rider. Let' just say it didn't go as well. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity

  23. The basic rule of thumb for attic venting is that the free air space of the venting shall be 1/300 of the horizontal projected area of the roof. Half to be installed as close to the peak as possible. The other at the eaves. As an example: If your roof is 1200SF, you need 4SF of venting. Two feet at eave, two feet near the peak. All venting products will give you the free air value of the vent, normally in square inches. If you can only vent at the eave, it shall be at 1/150 of projected roof area. I am for passive venting wherever possible. It doesn't break or require electricity. But if a house uses endvents, a moderate breeze will negate the passive venting. A whirlybird ventilator will do the job in this situation. But they are hard to install in a tile roof. Some municipalities don't allow them due to being "unsightly". Sometimes a powered attic vent is the only way to solve a hot attic. I lived in the Mojave desert for 10 years. I've installed a few of them and they worked great. The power draw was more than saved in decreased AC usage. Because it was so dry, moisture issues were nill. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity
