He he, exactly! We impressed ourselves that we pulled those two jumps off as we planned. Although, I would never condone planning a dive you "knew would fail" (maybe chalk this one up to good organizing) new skydivers will have plenty of chances on their own to be on skydives that don't work. I guess it's more my problem (not understanding why she wasn't amazed and impressed that these jumps worked) than it is HER problem (never been on a 6 way or a 9 way before). Fly Your Slot !

We asked her if she was OK, If she had fun...we even joked about her line twists after the SCR jump. We were all watching out for her , being nice, high fiving... She did come up before she left, ask me to sign the SCR sheet and her log book and said she buy the two cases next Sat night (It was Easter Sunday...don't blame her for putting it off for a Sat Night...) - things that make you go "hmmmmmm" - At least we impressed ourselves! Not blaming her, In fact I would totally understand if she was sooo incredible overwhelmed that she was speechless. Im just wondering if this is the kind of behavior I can expect jumping with newer jumpers ...or unique for the said situation. I personally wouldn't be able to hide my amazement. Maybe she's shy. Im not getting how the Freefly photo, although an excellent photo, got the full page photo finish, while the 40 way (and awesome shot of side by side 20 way's) got the small little corner. What's up with that? Fly Your Slot !

We jumped yesterday with a very nice girl fresh off the AFP program. She had 36 jumps. We took her up for a 6 way where we launched a chunk (modified stair step) then built a two way with pods, then turned those. Then built a 3 way with Sidebody's, turned those. Then to a round. I was amazed the skydive went so well. I was excited about it, but she seemed, I dunno - not as excited as me. But, I blew it off. We took her up on the next load to get her SCR. We built a 9 way, broke it into two rounds, back together. Broke it into two rounds again, back together. So, a 5 point SCR. Again, she was not exactly smiling ear to ear or as impressed as the rest of us were. So I was thinking she is either overwhelmed with all that happened that day, or she just didn't understand that "they wouldn't all be that successful". Which do you think? I just met her for the first time too, so at this point, you know as much as I do about this sweet girl. BTW, very very fun video of the SCR Ramon shot. Fly Your Slot !

Odd, he takes his skydiving serious but in 400 jumps he's bored learning to belly fly? I jump at a fairly slow pace too, just closing in on 500 jumps in 4 years, and now is the time in the sport for me when I truely feel like a highschool freshman - just now mature enough to be teachable. The way I see it, your together at home, together at the DZ and you don't necessarily have to be on every load together too. Tell him you respect his desires to freefly and learn, but your not ready for that yet. My BF has always respected my decisions in the sport, including winds and clouds, loads, canopies and overall comfort level. I totally agree on the duribility factor. After 4 bounces, it doesn't have a crack or even a scratch that I couldn't paint pen over. I considered the possiblity that it could be body position, but on this last one, someone watched my whole pull, deploy and ball of shit. They have all been bad spinning openings when the helmet decides to bail. ...maybe I should learn to pack......... joking. The last two were paid pack jobs. ...maybe I should find a new packer....joking. It was two different packers. Fly Your Slot !

Im reading The Parachute Manual vol 1 now, finished Dave Dewolfes tips on packing ,and the Cypress manual and a few H&C manuals. Got lots of rigging reading left. Im totally Engrossed in Stephen Kings Dark Tower series. Im on book 3, the Waste Lands now. Can't put it down. (Please don't let Stephen King die before he finishes this series...) Fly Your Slot !
