This is a trick question. A lot of things are involved. For me this weekend, I was on a, 10 way, an organized load where I was the lowtimer (well, I think TG was on it) and I recognize this as maybe not the "perfect" but close enough to it as I've seen. Dirt Dive: We dirt dived with jumpsuits (of course), walked through the puzzle of the jump about 4 times. Then we talked "about the dive" the jobs of each moving jumper, the common mistakes...etc. At that point, we built the first point then lined up the exit based on the line of flight. By this point, we are on about a 5 minute call, we geared up and met at the mock up. We did a full climb out and count then walked through the skydive with rigs. The we did an additional full climbout and count again. At this point, we lined up at the mock up in the order we would exit the plane, then just walked towards the plan in that exact order. Plan Ride: In the plane it was quit. Eyes closed, relaxing. Arms moving in grip positions. It wasn't an easy puzzle. So you could tell everyone was concentrating. At about 10,000 we started checking pins, adjusting helmets, did a team count twice then on Door, facemasks went down and we started the climb out. Plane Separation : We had low ground wind but strange uppers. We had a lot of Freefly solos' so we were asking for at least 6 seconds. RW groups take at least that long to line up in the door. We told the freefly solo's 6-10 would even better. Execution: The Exit went exactly like we had practiced it. Launched a perfect chunk (modified stairstep for you lingo guru's) and transitioned on the hill to the first point (a bi-pole with outside donuts and a block thrown in there somewhere , but that's not important right now I think we turned 6 points. We stayed level, everyone "flew their slot" (as I say), we only had a few minor ripples or fallrate issues that were worth stabling out before the key. It was a smooth and challenging dive. Breakoff: Breakoff was clean, good separation everyone with a flatter faster track than mine left me plenty of room. Deployment: I had a 180 off heading, but I blame myself, I stuffed it in the bag pretty sloppy (damn Stilletto). But there was still plenty of separation with a full load of 12 behind us and my group of 10. Landings were great on Sunday, wind was faily steady, there was a very distinct left hand pattern established which made it very easy to pick a great spot to "put her down". Debrief: All positive, all good jobs, high fives and kisses for the ladies to everyone on the load in the packing room. ..and the best compliment for me... "wanna go again?" Told you this would take some thought, but after all, a nearly perfect dive for me was one this weekend. Fly Your Slot !

I logged on briefly this morning and every forum was packed with new posts. Had a busy Monday myself, and now that I have time to read some threads, not one single post in the RW forum. Guess no one did RW this week? Instead of poking around through 100 posts of "how was your weekend?" in Talkback, I just wanna read you guys. So, how were your jumps? jumps:points turned best jump: cases of beer I'll start 6:9:1 Still not sure if I owe for the first jump out of our New Otter? I did a 3 way chick dive with a newly graduated student (about 30 jumps) and a freeflyer (I think Rachel has over 200 but all Freefly) . We turned 9 points. I was very proud. Sunset 23 way, 3 points

This is a hard one, that's why I haven't replied yet. Im gonna put some poetic thought into it and try to respond in an educational manner...(yeah, me ) For starters, as skybytch would say...pull and flare. Fly Your Slot !

With the growing popularity of the Skydiving League, I would think this could be marketed as a very important section. Drop down menus showing blocks and random so the teams could Keep up easily on which moves have had significant practice, and which ones are left unpracticed. Also, landing comments. I personally, especially on a canopy Im still learning, would like to note our landing "rating". One other idea for a handy reminder would be reserve repack reminders on the software and auto reminders when you acheive a USPA award level. Excellent idea for logbook software. There are lots of ways to market various versions. Fly Your Slot !

One time, at the Carbone zone, I was lying on the carbonezone bar and various jumps were doing body shots off of me. Well, Scotty ran out of tequila and we didn't know what to do. So, since most of the crazy's had a few tequila shots already, Scotty had to improvise....proceding to line up the body shots........with VODKA. Funny part that between the salt and lime and licking ..no one even noticed! Master of the alternate plan. Fly Your Slot !

I think they lovingly refer to us as the "Yuppie Skydiver" generation. You know, square mains AND reserves, rigs that actually fit you, matching gear , protract computers and of course, Cypress'. But there couldn't be Yuppie Skydivers if it weren't for the pioneers of the sport. Fly Your Slot !

He did a christmas jump this year, everyone wore either Rudolph ears or a santa hat or elf's hat. I didn't go on the jump but it was hilarious to watch everyone in the silly hats.

One of the most colorful characters Ive ever met. I have always been impressed with his ability to take a group with mixed experience, then organize a dive where everyone can be successful and the dive works well. He has a gift for organizing. Fly Your Slot !

Thanks for the info Dave. I'll see if I can get rid of some of those Tshirts for ya. It's a great cause, you guys have a great club. Fly Your Slot !

For fun RW, it's no problem. We jump with Zen is his FF suit. The sleeves and legs are baggy enough, I just grab a big handful of fabric for my grip. If you are doing something like block moves, the grip could slip out of your hand, but simple randoms shouldn't be a problem. May I suggest wearing your jumpsuit during the dirt dive. That way, people can practice taking the grips on your freefly suit during the dirt dive. Fly Your Slot !

Absolutely right Andrea. The trick to make-up is make it look like you are not wearing any. Do I get tired of it...No. Actually, I would think there was somthing wrong; _seriously _wrong with you guys if you didn't at least ASK for boobie. Not that you get them often, but you would never get boobies if you didn't at least ask. (o)(o) Fly Your Slot !

commonly refered to at my drop zone by a load organizer as the "rubber stopper theory". It's that instant before a BAD THING happens, when your brain says, "hey, somethings not right about this" and hopefully reacts for you before a bad outcome. It happens to you in skydiving all the time. Have you ever just had "That Feeling"...? Fly Your Slot !

he he, he said "fuck" Seriously, remember the Brad Lambert ( a Houston jumper of course) wrote a letter to Skydiving : " Just call everyone Fucker, you can't go wrong....Hey Fucker. How's it going Fucker". My evil side shows through sometimes, usually late at night! Fly Your Slot !

Grass is always greener. You see, If I had a wuffo boyfriend, this wouldn't even be an issue cause THEY WOULD NEVER KNOW. But noooo. I have to have a skydiver boyfriend....who wants to give permission..... Fly Your Slot !

Sorry to hear that. Where is the alumni of the club? I know there are plenty of jumpers I know who came from AOT. Speaking of fund raising. I've been wanting one of those Aggie Skydiving T-shirts, the one with the photo of the bonfire and the parachute on the horizon. Know how I could buy one? Fly Your Slot !
