ok, my wife and I are going to Jamaica in 3 weeks, and I was wondering if anyone could suggest some cheap / fun things to do while we are there.... we are staying in the Montego Bay area...

There may be a deficiency between the two A license proficiency cards. I myself used the 2 page card http://uspa.org/publications/form.pdf/ALicProfCard08-05.pdf which states the follwoing below. In the 4 http://uspa.org/publications/form.pdf/ALicProgCardISP08-05.pdf page proficiency card there is NO reference of an RSL at all. on the 'A' license proficiency card under the "Equipment Knowledge" section it states clearly the following. "Demonstrate the understanding, use, and disconnection of a reserve static line". so here is my opinion (if the student used the 2 page proficiency card... 1. either the student did demonstrate that at the time they received their 'A' license. in which case the student could not recall the proper EP' due to stress under the situation, or a fair amount of time between getting there license and this particular jump where EP's had not been pratcticed for a good period of time. 2. the student never properly demonstrated that they understood. in which case it is clearly a deficiency of the instructor to ensure the student met the A license requirement. If the student used the 4 page proficiency card then it may be several different things that failed the student. in part it could be that 'the system failed her', or a compination of the above. just my 2 cents

i'll go against the grain a little bit here... after you get your license and buy your own gear you'll need to then save up for a jumpsuit, and / or maybe a freefly suit, when you can afford that you'll be thinking about starting to save up for your next canopy. Then by then you might want to demo a wingsuit or maybe do some CRW in which case you might want to look into a 7 cell lightning main or something similar to that, then it will be about time to send your cypress off for maintance or maybe it's time for a new cypress or vigil by then? all the time your jumping and paying for reserve repacks and buying lunch, gas, etc... oh yeah, don't forget about all the beer your going to owe too!

well having kids of my own I can honestly tell you what really pisses me of more.... ADULTS! I am a strict parent (ask my kids ) in any case there are WAY too many people that have children that shouldn't... (i was in that category for a little bit myself)... the worst is adults that have kids, that have no business having the responsability to bring kids into this place

yeah, i think it's probably over 3 years old... there is alot missing from the picture that is currently at the DZ...

here is SDD from Terraserver, (maps.google.com) couldn't get as close as Terraserver cause it's in a rural area.

Jump #2 first was feet to butt landing, all of my jumps have been standup / running landings except #2 and #21 (yesterday) where the wind did about a 45 degree change when I was about 25-50 feet in the air, which resulted in a crosswind butt skid landing with a pretty rash on my left butt cheek...
