Not intending to offend anyone that has given advise here but if you really want some good advice as far as nutrition goes in relation to your workouts check out this forum -> http://www.discussfitness.com/forums/ People will argue about timing your food intake as well as the macro nutrient splits, and supplements all the time. The bottom line is you are going to need to figure it out based on your progress of your workouts and your body measurements. If you serious about it go to the forum I posted and start looking through information available there. This is a good sticky thread over there to start with too... http://www.discussfitness.com/forums/f3/some-links-and-helpful-tips-21713.html

Then I really think you haven't done the math! You especially haven't done the math on the macro level of how most American's save and what investments they have and which ones actually play out over the long run. I guess I'm not like most Americans then... I don't consider my home as my largest investment, especially considering the current trend in the housing market. But that's just me.

1. why waste our money, on other countries? Do they really need new libraries more then we need to take care of our own domestic problems. 2. building and operating primary and secondary schools in other countries... We have enough problems with our own public schools in our own country. * I have no problems with diplomacy, having talks with other international entities is fine, but using our tax dollars to build infrastructure and education programs in other countries is just downright stupid. 1. Exchange is Track 2 diplomacy; to a lesser extent international scholarship could be considered similar or educational cooperative threat reduction. How about library programs like the Iraqi Virtual Science Library, jointly put together by the Departments of State & Defense? 2. Radical Islamists use militant madrassas to indoctrinate and recruit. Sound like a wise investment to me. I haven’t seen significant evidence of either. My interest and motivation is much more with they’re 5th recommendation VR/Marg I'm not sure how to interpret your response? Personally while those are nice ideas I don't believe they will have the impact that makes them worth spending tax money on. For example, if Iran funded an "American Virtual Science Library" here in the US how would that be perceived buy the populace and the Gov't? Look how we handled or are handling the Holy Foundation, while I don't know the true extent of that operation, it was perceived as a threat and source of income for the terrorists on our soil by our government as well as a lot of Americans. It would have been refreshing if the 911 commission looked more into the WHY they attack us. I don't believe the suggestions made by the commission will happen, nor do I believe that as long as we are attempting to create piece by force and occupation will we ever be safe from terrorist attacks. I'm pretty much done with this topic, but you asked an interesting question that could be debated for quite some time.

Then you've missed my point altogether. The mortgage interest deduction is a way to offset the cost of the mortgage. Assuming that "fair tax" repeals the federal income tax and it is offset by then levying a national sales tax, then current home owners get screwed since a part of their monthly mortgage payment would no longer get used to lower their tax burden. Since first-time new home buyers ALSO will have this apply to them, the prices of homes will go down as there is no longer a tax incentive to purchase a home. This hits the current home owners twice. I think we have both missed each others points. My point is that I would rather have more cash in my pocket per paycheck, than worry about the value of my home. the sad part of all of this is it is merely a pipe dream considering our current system. federal spending is ridiculously through the rough and the federal income tax makes up 48% of the federal governments revenue. Personally I don't believe that if we were smart, (that's pretty much out the window), we wouldn't need to replace all of that 48% The problem is that there is now way this will happen with the greedy, money hungry society / gov't as well as the sense of entitlement that most Americans have today.
-
And that's a whopping huge freekin' difference depending on whether or not you; are buying, are selling or are keeping a house for investment value. A first-time new buyer might like it, however, I personally, would find it a HORRIBLE loss. I would no longer be able to write off my home mortgage interest rate AND the value of my house would be substantially less than what it is today. I'm not so sure that if the income tax was removed it would have an impact on housing costs or the value of your house as it stands today. The value of your home isn't based on the federal tax deduction you get to make on interest and taxes that you paid on your property during that year. The taxes your paying are property taxes that are at the state, city, county, school district, level. The deduction is just a way to lessen the burden of the federal income tax that you pay as it is today, I.E. no federal income tax nothing to deduct... Your homes value is based on the market rate, not fees assessed or taxes paid.

If the mortage interest deduction is removed, the price of houses will go down, and substantially. People would be able to afford ~30% less for their monthly carrying costs. That's assuming, (and I/we are making a ton of assumptions here), that one no new taxes were created after they repealed the income tax for the spending capital to be there. The way that Quade worded his answer I made the assumption that he was getting at the fact that taxes would increase on home sales as a source of revenue to offset the loss of the income tax.
-
This in of itself kinda ends the thread...

I think what quade was getting at is that home prices would, (if taxes on the sale of a housing increased as a result of removing the federal income tax) go up, as the tax on the sale of the home would increase. using your example they paid 33,000 before deductions on income at 33% If a house was purchased for 200,000 at 28% (just a random tax percentage) you would pay 56,000 in taxes the year you purchased the home. *of course you need to keep in mind that this is a x-time tax, where x=the number of times you buy a home. Where income tax is a never ending stream of revenue for the Gov't. the problem with all of this is that we are all making assumptions that removing federal income taxes would have to immediately mean an increase in other taxes to make up for the lost revenue that the gov't takes in from it. There are other considerations that are hard to quantify, but removing the the federal income tax automatically reduces some of the tax burden by removing that governmental entity. Then if we could possibly cut spending in other areas, federal programs for education, (this should be handled by the states and not the feds IMO). some of the federal welfare programs, FEMA, etc.. The funds spent on 'pork', could have a huge impact on our economy. Imagine the possibilities of having that extra cash on hand as a consumer if a well thought out plan was put in place to actually reduce the overal tax burden we as citizens already bare on our shoulders.

The attack on 9/11 had zero to do with WMD's i'm not sure why they even made this recommendation, other then the fact that fear is a good way to foster public support for BS. edit: spelling errors

I think you might be underestimating Hatton a bit. Mayweather hasn't had a fight in 3 years and when you compare their common opponent in Castillo Hatten KO'd him with a body punch, the only man to put him on the canvas. Tony Pep is another common opponent, Hatten again got a TKO in the 4th where as Mayweather took it to the distance. I definately give the edge to Mayweather in big name fights and having bigger fights but I believe we could possibly see an upset here and Hatton winning this one due to Mayweathers inactivity and possibly overconfidence of Mayweather. Either way this should be a good matchup between two great fighters.

That is a decent link with some basic information, however I would look for more specific information to your gun. Here are two links one about different loads, and another about basic cleaning information... http://www.bp-outdoors.com/firearms-muzzle-loading-cleaning.html ... http://pages.sssnet.com/go2erie/muzzle.htm Enjoy! edit: missing bracket on the second link.

the proliferation of wolves have made hunting elk even harder. they have become even more elusive and nocturnal. many hunters think that wolves are hurting the elk population, but biologists say that the herds are getting stronger and the genetics are getting better. i tend to believe the latter. I recently read an article from Outside magazine about the de-listing of wolves from the endangered species list. The article actually leans in the favor of opening up managed hunts for wolves to keep there population in check. One of the interesting quotes from the article is that "Wolves breed too fast: Up to 30 percent of the population could be killed every year without lowering their numbers". according to the article. more on topic, i'm currently only a glassing bow hunter for feral pigs. I Don't agree with canned hunts at all, wouldn't participate in one either.

Meet The Next President of The United States of America
dan_iv replied to warpedskydiver's topic in Speakers Corner
Great choice Fred Thompson is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. So is Hillary, so is Giuliani, Romney, Obama, Richardson, Edwards, etc. Therefore, a vote for Thompson = a vote for Obama = a vote for Giuliani = a vote for Hillary = a vote for Edwards = a vote for Romney. They're all steered by the same agenda, which is unending war to line the pockets of the ultra-rich, and further burdening of the middle class to pay off an ever-increasing national debt (and of course, to line the pockets of the ultra-rich). Not to mention that constitutional rights and national sovereignty will continue to erode under any of the abovementioned candidates. I hope Americans will one day wake up and realize that no mainstream candidates in any presidential election have the interest of the people of the US in mind. *They are all puppets, with no real ideas of their own.* I'm convinced that the only hope for any real balance in our government is Ron Paul. You stole this from my 'manifesto' on the covert redistribution of wealth under the auspices of the war on terror using the military industrial complex... I think you should be the next president. http://www.ronpaul2008.com -

I agree with you that his victory shouldn't be considered an upset, but to the more casual fan, (including people who voted here), it is seen as one...
-
shame?. 2007 is the year of the upset in MMA...

i guess it depends on how much you want to tweak around your system. Personally I won't leave it purely for Compiz by default / desktop effects.
