An interesting article. It was a decade framed by a fundamentalist Palestinian belief in salvation through suicide and a fundamentalist Israeli belief in salvation through brutality. The decade ends as it began, clueless, hopeless, exhausted. For having lived through this, we are, all of us, somehow much more than 10 years older, yet none the wiser. In fact, what passed for our wisdom had died with our dreams. Socialist collectivism, rabid Revisionism, Reagan-Thatcher neo-conservatism, none of them has anything to teach us. … For both peoples, the lessons of this decade are unbearable. No Greater Israel, no Peace Now, no Wholly Palestinian Palestine, no Two State solution. Perhaps this is truly what the messiah has decided to settle for: a situation in which every single inhabitant of the land is unhappy to the same extent. Original Article with list Not surprisingly, the siege of Gaza made the list. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!

To which lawsuits are you referring? I'm only aware of legal issues MS has had with IE and Windows Media Player being bundled with their OS. Those two apps don't create any differences between, for example, Starter edition and Ultimate edition, so I'm having trouble understanding why you believe they are relevant (if those are indeed the legal issues to which you are referring). Which shocks me some.... You of all people I would think would support the right of the individual to choose what they want. I always thought you were for more individual freedom, not less. triumph of elitism over reason. Yeah, we get it. Somehow I managed to hurt your feelings, so, now, you feel the need to subtly (or not so subtly) throw insults my way at every opportunity. It's a shame that someone with your intelligence feels the need to attack the player instead of playing the ball. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!

Yes, you bringing up your 'comparison' red herring all the time DOES make you look silly. Of course, it's all you've got since I showed the proof that lifestyle choices *were*, in fact, a major factor in longevity, so I can't blame you TOO much. But, just so you'll finally quit whining about it: From Rutgers: How do European countries compare to the U.S. w/r/t to gym membership and use per capita? Singling out a couple forms of exercise is pretty misleading. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!

Poor reading comprehension on your part does not equal backpedaling on my part. If you look through my posting history, I've been very consistent about income taxes only being a subset of taxes. Had I meant only income taxes, I would have specified income taxes. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials! -

Doesn't write facts at all, since then he wouldn't be able to claim he actually wrote something else when challenged on it. Those words in no way imply that the only lost tax revenue is income tax. Like basing my assertions on factual information? Guilty as charged, I guess. I didn't realize such posting style was considered a bad thing, though. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials! -

I'm not referring to the addition of an internet browser or a media player, which generally aren't inherent to operating systems, but rather separate applications, whether they come bundled with the OS or not.. I'm referring to different OS features. I don't feel forced to use anything with my Mac. I can run any OS that I want. If I choose to use OS X, I can install and delete any browser or media player (available for that operating system) that I choose. I've yet to figure out how to delete IE from a Windows machine; that is forced. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!

I've never understood why MS insists on releasing so many different editions of their OS. They should have a client edition (with all of the features of Ultimate and Enterprise) and a server edition and include the means for users to turn off unwanted or resource intensive features. You've made valid observations. Most of the major failures in Afghanistan and Iraq (as well as other US military interventions) could have been easily predicted and prevented if the military leaders (uniformed and civilian) had studied Sun Tzu's treatise. Not all generals leading troops in the war on terror have ignored Sun Tzu's perennial wisdom. I previously posted about one such general here. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! Most of us get sick leave. The first order effect is neutral. A huge portion of the population do not receive such benefits. Most likely, many/most of the uninsured workers are among those who lack sick leave benefits. The first order effect is certainly not neutral (though I suspect you knew that already). He is absolutely sure. Of course, that doesn't mean it's true, and there have been many studies confirming this problem. Not really. If the car is never driven on public streets there would be no way to enforce the requirement to have insurance. If you think otherwise tell me how it would be enforced? Proof of insurance is required to register the vehicle. If insurance is cancelled, lapses, or otherwise ceases to be effective, the insurance company is required to notify the state of that fact. That's not necessarily true. The tax credit can be offered to incentivize a behavior or purchase that itself inherently benefits the economy, which can ultimately increase tax revenue. For example, a healthier population can decrease lost tax revenue resulting from missed work days due to illness. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!
