Here's an interesting article from a few years back. "If we restored the Second Amendment to its original meaning, it would be the NRA’s worst nightmare. Invoking the Second Amendment ought to be a more effective argument for increased regulation than it is against it." Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!

"The Privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in Cases of Rebellion or Invasion the public Safety may require it." Taking up arms against the government would be considered rebellion. It would appear the Framers' mistrust for armed citizens was a bit greater than their mistrust of government. They're essentially the same book, just organized differently. Brief History is intended to be read first page to last, like a novel. Nutshell requires reading the first 2-3 chapters, then the remaining chapters are each standalone, and can be read (or skipped) in whatever order desired. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! An "economist" without a maths background is merely a politician. Supply-side/trickle-down economic policy doesn't work well in theory, nor do historical data suggest it works well in practice. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!

Maybe he knows what else might be uncovered with a little bit of digging. Or maybe he's just trying to spare his family (or himself) the embarrassment of an investigation or ongoing headlines. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!

IMO our access to guns has not changed. The guns have changed; they are now mass killing devices. Jerry Baumchen No, I really disagree with that. When I was in high school there were a couple of times friends or I talked about using a handgun but had no idea where to get one. I can't honestly say how things would have turned out if we had, but we couldn't lay hands on one and we sure as hell couldn't afford to buy one either legally or hot. Now I have several friends and a couple of brothers who have them just laying around the house and if I wanted one I could steal it in less than an hour. They'd be pissed when they found out but if I was going on a spree I wouldn't care. I wonder how many handguns the average teen stumbles across when searching the old man's room for porn these days. Well, ok, ignoring the fact that they probably just use the computer for that, but you know what I mean. For me, while growing up it was trivially easy to access guns, but they were single-shot or small magazine hunting rifles, mostly. It would have been nearly impossible to find an AR-15, or really anything that would make a good offensive weapon. Many of the guns that are readily available today have been optimized for killing people. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!

FYI - Only if the water was sourced between March 22 and June 22 can distilled toilet water be referred to as distilled spring water. -
I'm not assuming that multiple schools are, in fact, equipped with metal detectors but aren't using them. But if that turns out to be the case, then it would strongly suggest that metal detectors in schools just aren't practical. It might be cost. It might be inconvenience. Math tutoring available. If schools are equipped with metal detectors, but aren't using them, it suggests that metal detectors probably aren't a practical part of the solution. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!

This visualization came up in my FB newsfeed today (see attached). It shows clear negative correlation between the number of gun prohibitions at state level and rate of firearm deaths in that state. Is he the ivy league professor who published his gun "research" in book form, to avoid the peer referee process of academic journals? Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!

Billvon provided some great ideas for starting, though additional steps are needed outside of schools. I would expect those additional steps to target willful ignorance and disdain toward intellect more than guns. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!

Yes, it's left of right-wing extremists. That doesn't make it liberal, any more than being less biased than Brietbart makes FoxNews liberal. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!

I agree. For Kieth, it's a significant movement leftward, toward the center, on this particular issue. But it can't be reasonably presented as "based on the liberal agenda." Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!

No, it actually isn't. You failed to include the most obvious and necessary step, i.e., reinstating the AWB, and you proposed arming teachers. You're still well right of center. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!

Um, no, it isn't, not by a long shot. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!

To be fair, they can't say, "but Chicago!", credibly, anyway, since Chicago's gun crime rate offers no suggestion that their gun restrictions have resulted in higher crime. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!

That's the point. Compared to total number, the rate, i.e., the number of gun deaths per 100K, is the more meaningful metric, allowing use to make meaningful, objective comparisons among locations of different population sizes. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!

It's very real. It's just improbable. However, with millions of students in schools, particular improbable events can be expected to happen somewhat frequently, at essentially random schools. It's a lot like Powerball. It's extremely unlikely that any particular ticket wins the jackpot, but is likely that there will frequently be tickets sold that do win the jackpot, due to the large quantity of tickets sold.
