  1. The single item I had stolen out of my checked luggage last flight I was on. I always carry my rig on, never been a problem but I am always selected for the random screening.
  2. There's always skydiving, something you haven't done a lot of lately!
  3. I met this hottie at the Farm named Amanda with dreads in her hair. That was fun.
  4. When I cutaway my freebag was not attached to my main.
  5. What you think doesn't matter to me.
  6. It's lean muscle. The protein mix is by Optimum Nutrition which I bought at a local GNC store. I am almost finished with my second container. I forgot to mention that I have been going to Golds Gym for a 1.5 hour weight training workout ever other day, 'cept weekends which I take off.
  7. I'll tell ya I've been pretty pleased with it so far. I've gained 23 lbs. in slightly more than two months. My day starts out with an entire blender of protien shake mix. The label says that with milk it's 1860 calories. After a couple hours I hit iHop for a ham and cheese omlet with three pancakes and a glass of large orange juice. For lunch I've been stopping by chick fil-a for 2 boxes of the 12 peice nuggets. This normally fills me up untill about 5 or 6 pm. Then it's time to get serious about eating. Often it's pasta in the evening with beef or fish. Lately I have been hogging out on everything I have in my apartment until I'm sick. I've never felt better!
  8. Of all the skydivers I've met in my short time in the skydiving world I will say that 98.5% are truly stand-up intelligent people who care about the noobs around them. The sad fact is the remaining 1.5% have the ability to influence a much larger percentage of young and inexperienced jumpers by offering nonsense as advice. I've watched young skydivers follow this foolhardy advice, and the person offering the advice stand back and say watch this... as if it is some sort of amusement for them to see a fresh A licensed jumper hurt themselves. One of the hardest things to do in a self regulated sport is to stand up to pressure and say no for oneself. It doesn't make friends very well in this sport. Case in point. A well known BASE jumper offering to take a freshly licensed B skydiver to jump an A at night before the newly licensed B has even had a chance to make a night skydive. I strongly suggested otherwise upon hearing the conversation taking place. For the most part this is a clear distinction. Students do follow the advice of an Instructor and the Instructor is there to make sure of this. Instructors often take ownership of their students. Rightfully so, as a matter of ethics or pride. What often happens is the newly licensed A is left adrift afterwards. He signs the waiver and is on his or her own. No. I think it's a form of idiocracy (not to insult anyone) that certain new jumpers do not have the skill sets to recognize or understand for themselves. The burden falls on the person making a bad decision. However I would not knowingly allow bad decisions to take place around me. I would not be a part of it. Minimum Recommendations should be followed. Far to often when they are not the results are what history has proven may likely result. I like the sound of this statement. Good common sense. "a skydiving career should be a marathon, not a 100 yard dash....."
  9. Not to rain on your parade my friend but your thinking is simply flawed. You just don't get it. What is your rush? Not to sound harsh but it not a matter of injuring/hurting yourself that I worry about. "If your going to be dumb you have to be tough" as a friend of mine said after I watched him bounce 90to110 feet across the ground in slow mo. It's up to you to live with the pain after an injury. I am sure you can do that. The problem is with all the people who have to live with the pain after a fatality of a loved one. I see no need for your great haste to downsize. You have the rest of your life to acquire the skills to fly whatever you want in a reasonable mature amount of time. Why not do this, acquire the skills necessary to resist peer pressure to downsize so quickly. Your first post in this threads sound reasonable. Master the canopy you fly before moving down to the next size smaller. You will be surprised by what you learn and how well you fly in the long run.
