Yup, going to those lengths to rush through and taking the added risks of injury for a dollar is certainly something to be proud of, no doubt. Good thinking. "The evil of the world is made possible by nothing but the sanction you give it. " -John Galt from Atlas Shrugged, 1957

Wow, seems like these days the smackdown more often originates from the smackdownees... a loose lips sink ships kinda thing huh.. so maybe every joe blow and their moms actually do not need to know what we're doing just prior to the trip afterall... not sayin anything by that... except common sense isn't that common. Nuh Uh!!! oh yea?! Well my dad can beat up your dad! My big wheel scooter is faster than yours!! A bit more seriously though, so that this post has something to do with the topic instead of just being a thread drifter... : It would be good to have a couple other birds (1 from each manufacturer perhaps or people that flew with him before the mods) go flying with Yuri and his latest developments to see if he's changed the suit at all. Wow! Outstanding, magnificent work! The photographs reveal the skill and craftsmanship as well as pure artistic talent that you have put into the suit modifications. Well done, A+!

Good job on not being a lemming and thinking for yourself. It's all about the warm and fuzzy...well this time of year it's too cold, so only the fuzzy is obtainable. "The evil of the world is made possible by nothing but the sanction you give it. " -John Galt from Atlas Shrugged, 1957

I thought invincible ret**d** ninjas were included in the eccentric group, but perhaps not. "The evil of the world is made possible by nothing but the sanction you give it. " -John Galt from Atlas Shrugged, 1957

Yes, clearly all the other crews around the country/world are very envious that you guys get to have such a talented, eccentric individual on your team. "The evil of the world is made possible by nothing but the sanction you give it. " -John Galt from Atlas Shrugged, 1957

Sounds kinda like you're having the same issue that KrisFlyz did, some kind of installation or fit problem. "The evil of the world is made possible by nothing but the sanction you give it. " -John Galt from Atlas Shrugged, 1957

Was just curious to see if that super nice opening he described was with the BJ and large mesh. I figured vents would strongly encourage the use of the small mesh and any other slowing options... Sam, You're using a BJ with large mesh? "The evil of the world is made possible by nothing but the sanction you give it. " -John Galt from Atlas Shrugged, 1957

What does base jumping have to do with flying and landing tarps? I've been focusing all my time on bettering myself as a ninja, because someday I want to be as cool as magot, except be able to pull upacked jumps off cliffs. btw, for others who are aspiring to ninja greatness, an invaluable reference is www.askaninja.com. It has guidance on a multitude of ninja-related topics with real-world applications. "The evil of the world is made possible by nothing but the sanction you give it. I've always been under the impression/understanding that the only reason for not using ZP is that full ZP would slow the inflation more than is preferable. "The evil of the world is made possible by nothing but the sanction you give it. " -John Galt from Atlas Shrugged, 1957

I agree with Robi and Vector, when using the proper technique there's little pressure from the gripper. But I do remember my first flights when I didnt know anything about flying technique for the suit that I did have a moderate amount. No, it's just a suit made with single-layer wings. It actually flys very nicely. Does anyone here think the PF Prodigy not a wingsuit? Same thing applies here. It's just an inexpensive, decent flying suit. I have only seen two of them in the air. Chuck Oh, now I get it, of course. It's a very good niche/idea for the newbies that aren't sure about committing major mula for a suit prior to experiencing enough wingsuiting. A very good compromise between cost, complexity, and performance for a new jumper. "The evil of the world is made possible by nothing but the sanction you give it. Flydog is right. It's from a 1984 movie called Top Gun. It's a great movie you should really see it. The sig line is attempting to draw a parallel between parachuting and dogfighting F-14s by saying that you should stay on your toes if you want to live a long and healthy life in sport parachuting. I have nothing against veterans, in fact I'm proud to be a veteran myself with multiple overseas tours. What any of this has to do with wingsuiting is beyond me though. Yea, that would have to be a very tall desk.. From 9 ft it should take about 0.75 sec to fall, reaching 24 ft/s velocity with a momentum of 120 lb ft/s. Because it's deccelerated quickly(over a very short amount of time) it generates more force on the cord (more than 160 lbs) than just it's momentum. Or something like that... Dude, Ed's right, and you should know this Gabe. Both cats and skydiving are bad, very bad. I was gonna suggest you 'dispose' of it for him, but I know how much you enjoy skydiving so perhaps not. Never heard of a 'Single Layer Suit'...Does that mean it has no backside to it? Just straps that hold it on? Strange... "The evil of the world is made possible by nothing but the sanction you give it. " -John Galt from Atlas Shrugged, 1957

James, I'm more curious to hear how the Atair Trango is coming along. Last I heard Robert said it was doing well. A new container such as this He is cool, but pales in comparison to new canopy design!

To play devil's advocate for a second: Canopy experience numbers are relative. What used to be alot isnt as much these days. In order to be qualified to be a base newbie, that person should have the ability (to think for themself) to qualify to varying degrees the opinions of each person giving recommendations based on how they feel about the recommendor's experience. In other words, who are you or anybody else to decide who can or cannot give recommendations, shouldn't the listener decide for themself who they want to heed and what they want for themselves? Sure: Try not. Do or do not, there is no try. -- Yoda “Ready are you? What know you of ready? For eight hundred years have I trained Jedi. My own counsel will I keep on who is to be trained. A Jedi must have the deepest commitment, the most serious mind. This one a long time have I watched. All his life has he looked away... to the future, to the horizon. Never his mind on where he was. Hmm? What he was doing. Hmph. Adventure. Heh. Excitement. Heh. A Jedi craves not these things. You are reckless.” -Yoda and of course my sig line, another good one...
