  1. no, I think that you fly that fast. Oh wait, maybe the speed difference was due to me pulling right in front of you..
  2. Yes it is true for tri-wings as well - but to a lesser degree
  3. I don't think that the S-Fly has got that much less wing area, if less at all. It is a monowing thus the whole suit is flying. It is just a different feeling in the air and it is up there with the best suits. Anyway instead of arguing which is best, here a few differences S-fly vs the others: it is not custom built rather it comes in std. sizes (S, M, M+, L, and so on). Therefore (1) it is a lot cheaper and (2) it will ship to you instantly in a matter of days.
  4. Show up at the next wingsuit competitions wherever that may be and give Loic and others a run for the money
  5. yes - join us on a wingsuit flight over the mountains at Zell am See, clip from last year : http://wingsuit.dk/videos/brianHanneZell.wmv
  6. I am pretty sure the light one. Are you judging next year in Stupino ?
  7. public Flight manuals available from PF and BM sites, still tells the old story. I know for a fact that BM's docs have been updated reg. the flatspin procedure, but they are not public yet unfortunately and I still have not seen it.
  8. Silly statement. The difference is more like a 152 compared to a 182. Looking forward to suits that brings performance that you tend to dream you have The fastest moving nylon object with a human inside I have ever seen with my own eyes (observed air to air) is a guy flying a S-fly (Maybe that was a 172 on steroids? )
  9. Yes, the person on the video learned the following 1) fix it immediately. How? Ball up really quickly / very tight. Relatively fast thereafter get belly to earth oriented (by arching forcefully). If you wait much longer you will quickly become exhausted.
  10. I agree to that procedure, with the following adjustment: 1. BALL UP IMMEDIATELY keeping the "ball" tight. Hold this position until the flat spin stops. It will be apparent when the flat spin stops and the tumbling or instability begins. Scott: should the BM FFC material be updated?
  11. Yes you are right - turbo charged versions of Cessnas are more quiet; In fact our 182 TRG (Turbo, Retractable Gear) does have a turbo. But still, the exhaust silencer can be mounted making it even more quieter.
  12. Okay... I was playing a joke there
  13. Right. The S3S continued to evolve right until the S6 took over. I may have the very last S3S. Some S6 details like cutt handles are present on mine. Another thing: the S-fly Expert have evolved much over time. They have never posted any details or specs either. I have the latest one, with many changes. So I say I have the late 2006 edition of the S-Fly Expert suit. Good enough for me.
  14. Yes faster flocks are much more fun. The flocks in Stupino lead by Loic were pretty fast. Btw he also flies a suit thats way faster than Vampires and even Skyflyers and what else. Go fast, in the suit you like. And why flock with heels to ass? No! We have discussed that in another thread recently. S3S is very different not one piece is identical, and there is a huge difference between S3 and S3S in the air performance wise.
  15. Okay I understand that on many dropzones neighbors don't complain about the noise from the jump plane, thats really good. But other places in the world, maybe with more dense population, it can be necessary to act and try to minimize the noise emission, before local politicians will listen to complaints and close down the dz. So I would like to hear from pilots or dz owners that have tried the kit in question, the kit is usually consisting of (1) upgrade two-blade prop to tree-blade prop, usually reducing noise by 50%, we have done that, and then (2) mounting a silencer on the exhaust. It is specifically the silencer kit I am interested in hearing about.
  16. Did you post the vid on you catching up with the formation after your spin? You promissed... The speed was amazing
  17. Have anybody got any experience good or bad on noise reduction kits mounted on their Cessna? The company www.gomolzig.de/index.htm has a silencer kit called QuietFlight. Anybody out there have real experience with that product or similar products? Btw we do have a 3-blade prop on our 182TRG.
  18. back in the 80's, there was a big boat competition event and this skydiving demo team was invited. Tree guys exits a small Cessna, the chief instructor flying a Parafoil lowers a *big* flag, held down by a heavy sandbag. As the team turns for the final approach, the chief instructor flies very close to the edge of the forrest that was surrounding the stadium. The trees where very high, giant pinetrees. Suddently the sandbag is caught by a branch high up in a pinetree, he immediately recognizes what the problem is and slams the brakes. The Parafoil turns on a dime, around the tree top, fast, faster and BAM... He slams into the tree, feet and arms all ready for the big "hug" :) Now he finds himself standing on this branch amazingly high in the air, hugging the tree. The crowd looks in amazement. The boat competition continues, an orchestra plays up, time passes by. Then the Fire department arrives, but as it turns out the ladder is long yes, but... not long enough. Then it starts to rain - a'lot. Anyway after some hours he finally got down only having a few scratches, but the pride was heart a little bit more than that.
  19. Pink Skyvan Boogie, Zell am See in Austria, November 18-19, we are a group of birds swooping the Austrian alps. www.pink.at
  20. many thanks for good advice S-flea, I am practicing right now. I am even typing with the suit on
  21. I thought the subject here in this thread was differences between the Skyflyer models and so a study is required to "notice" differences big or small. Some changes deal with comfort and robustness. I agree that the V1 feels even more diff. from the S3 than the S3S, but both ARE noticeably diff. from the S3 in the air! Yes... I did try the V1 and it is a nice suit as well.
  22. yes, there is a bit over marketing here and there
