    Easy to say now. Will you be saying that if somehow Trump becomes POTUS again? I know I wouldn't. I agree, Biden has shown himself to be a steady hand on the tiller. Surprisingly effective even while appearing not to be all that vigorous. And most likely he will be POTUS for another six years, so keep hoping he ages well.

    Trump started off his campaign with an attack on Mexicans in the USA. DeSantis seems to think he can fire up the base with attacks on the community of anyone non-cis gendered. This just shows that DeSantis is nowhere near as smart or in touch as Trump. Trump was smart enough to use non-voters as the target of hate.

    Well yes, this has always been the issue. The right of a woman versus the right of society to enforce the edict "go forth and multiply". It all comes down to who controls the rules of society. Up with freedom, down with repression! Women are not breeding stock.

    No, that is far too simple and very unfair. The culture exists because a large subset of skydivers enjoys the thrill and even the danger of HP landings. Some of the most influential skydivers are among this group because they are among the most experienced and dedicated jumpers. Many are staff, instructors, and DZOs. USPA could and I think should stop promoting this aspect of the sport. But any effort to ban it can only come from DZOs who are unwilling to deal with the injuries that learning the needed skills cause. Any move to sharply curtail it by USPA would immediately result in a huge schism within the sport with DZs owned by swoopers and their supporters leaving USPA. Only so much can be done realistically.

    What is being said here is that USPA takes an active role in PROMOTING CP events. Promoting the events is a form of encouraging participation.

    What I am less okay with is ineffective pellets leaving wounded animals to crawl off and lick their wounds. You have to kill them before you can eat them and pellets just don't do the job all that well.

    There is a small city in Manitoba called Brandon. Farm economy based and pretty conservative. To a point. Recently some reicht wing religious fanatics petitioned the school board to start a censorship committee to review and ban books in the library just like it was in Florida or Alabama.
