  1. We all have to believe something. And it's ok for you to believe this. But you also need to understand that your belief is your choice. Just because you choose it, does not mean that it is true. I believe something very different, that is my choice. But it's not true either. It is not meant for mankind to know the truth. You can never know the truth, you can only make your choice. 2. Human tissue is used in research all the time. You and your kind are merely trying to spin an ordinary non issue to try and make it support your narrow moral beliefs. I support your right to your beliefs, but there is no smoke, let alone fire here. So to answer you question, yes, it is OK to provide fetal tissue to genuine researchers on a cost recovery basis. Legal too. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  3. Oh, for sure. You will feel the truck pass you, especially if there is a cross wind blowing. But the cause of the loss of control is not the truck. It's a poor set up being driven improperly. Billy's friend wants to blame the truck driver for his accident. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  4. Because Toronto is rapidly becoming racially and ethnically mixed with new Canadians, and this is bringing the inevitable social tensions. All the other candidates cater to this new reality and are in favour of expensive social programs as well as seeking support from civic unions. There is no strong candidate in the middle. So the still somewhat dominate white middle class held their noses and voted for him. He was actually the only responsible candidate for mayor on the ballot. All the rest depended on various special interests for support and were sure to waste large amounts of taxpayer cash on them. Classic no win situation, lesser of the available evils. 5. Ha......good one. Law officers of all types have no sense of humour at all about that border. On either side. Occasionally they lockup Americans who arrive at the border and "forget" to declare firearms. Usually takes about 5 days in lockup to deport them. But I suspect most of them just get them across because they only search vehicles when they have a reason. (But they don't need a reason) I'm pretty sure that mostly those gun owners don't cause any trouble at all. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. 6. Plenty of weapons up here. All the hunting and target shooting any country needs. Lots of restrictions on handguns and automatic stuff, but no one needs them except to compensate for whatever they lack. Consequently, although we do have more than enough gun violence here, the death rate from firearms is about 20% of the US rate. Still too high, but with all the arms leaking over the border from the gun happy south it's all we can do to keep it as low as it is. As far as monitoring goes, have you heard of the NSA? Here's another fresh 2nd amendment death for you. http://www.cnn.com/2015/07/27/us/florida-road-rage-killing/?iid=ob_article_footer_expansion&iref=obinsite We have road rage here too. And we are just as likely to lose our temper as well. But a situation like this generally ends in a shoving match, or at worst a fist fight. Because we probably aren't packing heat. 7. Sorry Billy, semi-trucks don't "blow other vehicles off the road". Your friend probably had a very poor set up for towing. Likely the load was overweight for the truck, so he moved weight behind the axle so the truck springs wouldn't be overloaded. This just sets it up for the swaying pendulum effect in the video. A proper setup does not need anti-sway bars, and blaming the semi for passing too quickly is about as lame as it gets. The truck driver probably didn't even know it happened. 8. I would agree with you there. We, and the USA, get the politicians we deserve. They are of us, and we go along for the ride willingly. That's why democracy is the least bad system. (so far) Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  9. In the absence of an enemy with any real power America has taken it's fight internal. It's hard to remain a vital force without something to fear, and even to hate. A bunch of desert Arabs with makeshift weapons and a desire to kill each other over tribal and religious differences is not enough to take on the role. So to fill this void, and with very real stakes in play, the politicians have managed to divide the nation into "left" and "right". Power matters, and they all will say just about anything to have it. If the country was not so rich, and the majority of it's people living such easy lives, they could pull together. But the easy life is boring, and people need stimulation, so let the games begin. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.

  13. I have found the same if it has a steel ripcord, especially if it has no RSL. If it has an RSL with a marine eye pin the force goes up a little. With a Spectra ripcord it goes up a lot. With one of the recalled Spectra ripcords it goes off the scale. But in that case you don't need to use a lot of leverage to close it. 14. Isn't the supermax in CO a federal facility? I believe the Bat murderer is a prisoner of the State of CO. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  15. I do. The only exception so far is one guy who was passed out till just before landing. The secret is at least 2 and maybe 3 practice flares shortly after opening to teach them, and to judge what they are going to do. I believe that having them pull down the toggles helps them with getting their legs up. It works for me. I know I'm in the minority, but that's how I was trained. 16. As far as I'm concerned there is no such thing as organic farming. And there won't be until Monsanto figures out a way to manipulate genes so that tomato plants can grow human organs for transplant. At $50 million per kidney. In the meantime I'll settle for orgasmic farming. Much more fun. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  17. Two more 2nd amendment deaths. It's OK though, the freedom to bear arms is more than worth the cost. And for a bonus just for once a murder/suicide is committed by a member of the fairer sex in a moment of anger. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  18. Just curious. You don't give them the toggles? Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  19. Throwing some gas on the fire here. That's probably how people like him think of Predator drones. I also have a huge problem keeping my temper when I hear about attacks by Muslim people on my world. It's getting harder and harder to convince myself that Islam is anything but evil. Actually, all religions are at least partly evil in my eyes. Just WTF drives these people? Do they REALLY think that their God wants them to do this shit? It makes my mind go kind of numb trying to understand. I keep hearing that Islam is a religion of peace, but my eyes tell me it's a religion of poison. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  20. Further stuff to report. The V3 that I was having trouble with came back to me for an AAD installation today. I packed it June 3 and had trouble getting a legal pull force. So I made the closing loop a little longer than I liked and sent it out into the world at 22lbs. Sure enough, today the cap was sticking out like they do when the loop is too long, and the measured force to move the pin was now 28lbs. I opened it, installed an AAD, shortened the loop by 1/4 inch, closed it, lubed it as per the SB, and the pull force came back at 17 lbs. The ripcord is one covered by the SB and an new one is on the way. I hope to change it out before it is time for the monthly re-lube. I still think friction from a Spectra ripcord will always be higher than that from a steel one. The temporary fix seems to be working for now. 21. ATTN WORLD.... no criminals in LONDON.... Manchester.....Liverpool... Glasgow.... etc... lots of victims.. go get them victims... they is unarmed and unafraid of you... Criminals here, and there are just as nasty and mean as everywhere else in the world. I travel extensively in the US and I do not fear the gun toting public while I'm there. It's mostly a peaceful place with nice people. All I'm saying is that you pay a price for having so many guns in so many hands. Like the guy in the theater who gets mad because someone is on their cell phone. Words get said, pushing starts, and maybe there is an assault. But if the angry man happens to be packing heat, boom, a murder charge in the heat of the moment for no good reason. If there are more guns more people will use them. If there are less guns, less people will use them. Most of the western world has decided on giving up the pure pleasure of owning and shooting pistols because they don't want to pay the price. America has largely made the opposite decision. I respect that, but I don't respect those who refuse to acknowledge the cost of an armed society. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  22. I know. Your f...ing guns are leaking across the border into the hands of our gangs. They used to mostly knife fight, but access to guns is now easier. Vancouver is practically on the border, and Toronto is only an hour and a half from Buffalo. But despite that, a quick check will show you the the rate of death from guns is 5 times higher in the US than in Canada. The fact that it's as high as it is here is one of the prices we pay for living so close to you. But I still love the USA and would not ask for a different neighbour. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_firearm-related_death_rate Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  23. Sigh..... America..... I love you all. But from outside, here's my take on this. You live with your 2nd amendment and the majority of you love your gun rights. I know, it isn't everyone, but most of you insist that your guns "protect" you. Now your police are faced with a citizenry that walks and drives the streets armed. They all want to go home at the end of their shifts and see their families, like everyone else. They pretty much need to assume that everyone they face is armed. Is it any wonder they sometimes get trigger happy? It's just one of the many ways you pay the price for insisting on the right to bear arms. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  24. Not sure exactly what you're trying to say here. Nevermind, I Googled it. From urban dictionary: Fayetteville, NC a military city dependent on Fort Bragg and Pope Airforce base. Fayettenam, your one stop for pawn shops, strip clubs and cheap motels. There's no place like home. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  25. That's one of the lessons here. But since the City of Gardena paid $4.7 million to settle the lawsuit there may be more than just one lesson to be learned. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
