That ignores the large number of people who think of Wall street bankers and corporations as "the man". I know they aren't the same people, but a lot of them did not come out for Hillary. The outcome in the swing states will come down to who is motivated to vote. Just being the "anti-Trump" may not be enough for someone like Bloomberg.

It appears that Trump would prefer to face Sanders. But, I'm starting to suspect that perhaps you are right and Jerry, (and Trump) are wrong. Sanders could be seen as an even better way to "stick it to the man" than Trump has been.

Donald Trump, and now Bernie Sanders both demonstrate that the two organizations do not have control. Neither was wanted by the people who run their party.

Sanders must compete in the marketplace of ideas. He has fairly revolutionary policy proposals. Hard work and effort may or may not be enough to convince enough people to try them. Working hard does not make him right. You are selling your country short if you believe Bloomberg's TV and internet advertising can buy him the minds of people. What they can do is put his ideas in front of them.

Maybe turtle would be happier if the presidency could be divided up fairly. You know, x number of days in office per popular vote percentage.

As a frequent radio controller I encourage students to call their own flare ASAP. Most can not judge the height because they are looking down and that causes the Earth to appear to be rushing up at you. You have only a few jumps, you will get better quickly. How do you get to Carnegie Hall? Same way as you learn to flare. Practice, practice, practice. Student parachutes are large and lightly loaded to make them forgiving. You will make errors and within reason the Earth and the canopy will forgive them.

Tell that to the SC. Using money is free speech. No one will spend as much money as Trump will be spending this time around. You can claim buying an election is wrong, but unless it is equally wrong for all your argument is pointless.

Nothing succeeds like success. If Bernie were to become POTUS he would become as popular with Ds as Trump is with Rs. And just as likely to be able to push his agenda through.

Yes, but I don't have to live with the results in my country. Bernie was beaten last time by possibly the most unpopular D nominee ever. He will probably not get the nomination this time either. And that may make his supporters disappointed enough to stay home. I'm not concerned that Bernie would be a bad POTUS. I am a little doubtful that he can be elected though. But like I already said, my track record of prediction is poor.

Clearly Sanders is ahead, at this point. But there is a strong possibility that is his ceiling, or near his ceiling. If that turns out to be the case and someone else gets the nomination will you say that the DNC "screwed the people"? Or will you be willing to accept that he did not have enough of the the people?

Congratulations, I sincerely applaud you on that. Brent's attachments to his position are a little mysterious to me. His main point seems to be "screw it, doing something about it would cost too much". Everything else seems to flow from that.
