Can't do. I'll be crossing the Ambassador Bridge from Detroit into Windsor on Tuesday. But I won't have to get out of the cab if I plan my fuel right.

I have to go to WI at least a couple times a month. But I'm not educated so I guess I'll be alright as long as I hold my breath whenever I get out of the truck. My hand sanitizer will be at the ready. I'll be in IA Sunday and Monday, another place making dicey decisions.

Soon enough many will be doing just that. As the second wave begins to build up a nice head of foam. Given what seems to being learned about indoor spread in closed spaces that will be a prime place to pass it around. I'm starting to think there will be a significant summer lull as people spend more time outdoors. But it will be temporary. And of course your poor huddled masses working in the packing plants will get no such respite as they prepare for the coming turkey season.

Who cares? The fact is that the US military is set up to be all powerful against non-state actors and second rate powers. It leverages all the new technology that silicon valley has given to your nation to do so. At the same time that leaves it vulnerable in the same way all of us are. We can not live the lifestyle we have become accustomed to without global cooperation. And any nation advanced enough to have nukes and rockets can screw with all of us, including the mighty US war machine. And it is only going to become more so. It is the new version of an older paradigm. The one called Mutual Assured Destruction. And it is not a bad thing. China will be just as vulnerable.

I've been told by my wife that the only patient she ever has beg for death was one with postherpetic neuralgia. That is pain that lingers after the shingles blisters and rash clears up. It can be permanent and life altering. Even if the Shingrix vaccine does not always prevent shingles it lessens the occurrence of this condition and the duration of the attack by a considerable amount. It's duration of effectiveness is unknown at this time, it is too new. The older vaccine that you are probably familiar with needs to be taken every five years. Shingrix needs two shots a few months apart. Your earlier attack of shingles is thought to also provide about 5 years of protection. It also means that you are far more likely than most to get it again if you continue being alive. -

Get the shingles vaccine. Shingles can lead to a condition that will make you feel your life is not worth living. I wouldn't take the chance if I were you. -
