Most people who get influenza don't actually know it. I have never been diagnosed with influenza but I suspect that I have had it. However there are noroviruses that can cause similar symptoms. I have never had an illness like that last the 10 to 14 days that are the classic length of a full blown infection, but that does not mean I have never had it. The same way as covid has asymptomatic carriers.

Toxic masculinity? Well....one form is social media trolling. You rarely see a female do it. Going onto a forum with the goal of pissing people off is kind of toxic.

2%? That is about a third of the rate I have to pay for hull insurance on our 182s. At this point we are paying it. But considering self insurance.

Hull insurance for aircraft? Pretty pricey and the cost of the loss is fixed at a maximum of the value of the aircraft. That kind of insurance is for people who can't afford the loss. Someone with money would never waste it like that. It's called self insuring and it means not paying an insurance company their profit. Insurance is gambling.

I don't know much about either. And I don't know much about the Mesa PD. The real point I am making is that although you don't think there are rogue police in Mesa the fact is they are everywhere.

Yup, and so she should be. Unless a good lawyer gets her charges lowered with some kind of crazy lady defense. Not available to a dead black man who was shot because an officer thought he posed an imminent danger behind the wheel.

I once rolled over onto my back while sliding across the tarmac due to an unintended downwind landing. Wrecked my container and my jumpsuit but saved quite a bit of skin. Would do it again if I had to!

They are just throwing stuff at the wall to see what sticks sometimes. I don't block anyone for having a different opinion. I don't block you or Ron for instance. I block people who I judge to be only here to have fun trolling and making others angry.

If preparing for cold works then when it comes it is a non event. And people don't understand why they paid all that money getting ready, after all , nothing happened! With insurance you get a payout so after the suffering at least you have some cash.

It's a combination of all the above, Some people have protection because they have been infected and recovered, some people have protection because they have been vaccinated, and some people have protection because they are being careful and avoiding getting infected. Pandemics don't last forever and they usually come in waves. In the ebb and flow of infection we are entering an ebb phase. More infectious variants may cause another wave. Or vaccination may largely prevent that. Of course I'm only speaking of what is happening in the US and also Canada. I think it is largely similar in most of western Europe. Vaccine dosing regimen questions are only beginning to be answered. But given that the speed of development did not allow for testing of all the possibilities it is very unlikely that the one chosen to be recommended in the emergency approval will turn out to be the most efficacious or the most efficient.

TX will have the same thing happen the next time it gets cold. Because TX is a poverty stricken part of the USA that can't afford to take care of itself. It's so sad that there are no resources available to them to prepare and that they are completely at the mercy of the kindness of strangers in other places to hold their hands and keep them warm.
