The committee report is not the objective. Compelling testimony under oath is what the game is about. Some of that evidence will get plenty of coverage.

Deleting the emission control systems is illegal, but is a way of making more power. At the cost of making your fellow citizens breath the soot your are now creating. Something to be proud of. When I ventured into a MN Walmart the rule posted was "mask no longer required for fully vaccinated people". Apparently 99% of MN residents are fully vaccinated. I saw only one masked person.

In Canada we don't have a GOP. I would say that the vaccine resistant portion of the population here is about one half of what the US is having to deal with. The US had about a 30 day advantage in the vaccine race, but has squandered it and we are now pretty much tied with Canada pulling into the lead. There is talk of opening the border to fully vaccinated US citizens soon, but no one can work out how they will be able to produce reliable proof of their vaccine status.

The greater threat than people displaced by sea level rise is adapting food production to the new climate and the new growing areas. We can measure and predict the effects of larger oceans pretty easily.

There MAY have been some conflicting research done in the years since 1910. Your rough calculations are an interesting exercise, but I wouldn't go planning the future of the world around them.

They don't have to if the rest of us do. Selfish is a thing. After asking around gently about how some of them think I get two general answers. They agree that it works, but they have leaders who are telling them that it is risky for them to get it. And they are too afraid of upsetting those leaders, so they choose to selfishly rely on the rest of us taking the risk. It is basically a combination of unfounded fear and peer pressure.
