No problem. IIRC, I used "Iraq state sponsored terrorism," but less specific results came with "Iraq terrorism." I found that using the second term was returning lots of results from the current conflict (including lots on the Boxer/Rice dust-up), but since that wasn't the issue at hand (for the statement I was responding to), I broadened it to the first one for specificity. Like I said, those are the terms as far as I can recall, at least. Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~

Um, not at all true. Abu Nidal Organization http://www.terrorismanswers.com/groups/abunidal.html Ansar Al Islam http://www.terrorismanswers.com/groups/ansar.html Kurdistan Workers' Party (KWP) http://www.cfrterrorism.org/groups/kurdistan.html Kongra Gel (KGK) Mujahadin El Khalq (MEK) http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/para/mek.htm Palestinian Liberation Front (PLF) Et cetera. (BTW, the above information was found on a brief search using Google...there were thousands of pages of results - these came from the first one...) HAHAH! It's a drunk-o, not a typo. It might be Freudian, too. Who knows? Cora, I'm sorry you're only working with Black Cherry. It's good, but not as good as Margaritas. Here - I'll toast you too. Can you see? I'm waving my glass to the northeast. Cheers to Cora! Next time you're out, we'll do margaritas. Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~

Yeah, but that studd happens to me when I drink tequila too. So when I know I'm getting toasted, I stay home. That way, if I lose clothing, it's in my living room and I don't embarrass myself or scare the public. Thanks, Jan. Here's a toast for you! (raises glass to the north). Rosa, give me a few weeks; I've got to get my life back in order after today, and that will take some time. But in two weeks, watch out (as long as one of you drive. I won't get behind the wheel of a car if I've had a drink or 3). Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~

#2 down, fixin' #3. Tonight, I'm drinking in my living room. I wonder how many I'll get in tonight? Ev and Rosa, let's do MM out this way, and sure, I'll go do kareoke. I can't sing, but who cares? And Mr. Turtle, you are more than welcome to join me/us. But you have to come here first. The more the merrier! And right now, I need "merrier." Even just "kinda happy" would do. Clay, I don't like tequila either. But I like margaritas... Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~

Who's gonna join me? The rules are simple. Drink as many margaritas as you possibly can between now and tomorrow. I think I'll have mine with Reposada floaters. Salt on the rim, over rocks. See? Easy. Maybe after drinking enough, I won't remember that today happened. And if I don't remember today happened, then I don't have to deal with all the crap that has occurred. (No, no-one has passed away; but that's about the only thing that could make today worse...) So, here's to Margarita Monday. May there never be another day like today. Chee-freekin'-eers. Michele

And I see your point completely, and agree...a bit of a sticky wicket...but I always think honesty is better than dishonesty, you know? Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~

He could...but then, that would be lying. Of course, it's not like people don't lie all the time, but it might get discovered, and if so, that's generally grounds for termination. Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~

Well, yes, you could say that too... Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~

Congratulations! It's way fun for that to happen, isn't it? Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~

Since the rest of your work history is fairly extensive and rather consistent (from what I remember), I'd handle it in the "objective/personal statement" part which starts your resume. Maybe something like: "After an absence from the work force, I return ready to develop my extensive skill set working with your company in such and thus position....blah yada blah." That way, you've covered the not working time, as well as made it "light." When they ask why, mention that you fell down a staircase, and were hurt fairly extensively. DO not mention the brain trauma...instead, if they press, mention more along the lines of pt and rehab, but you're fine now. And if they really press, move on to the next thing. Just my .02 (since you asked for it! ) I have to say, Chris, I am so damned excited that you're able to get back to your life. It took a lot for you to come back, and I am soooooo proud that you were able to fight back and fight back hard. Well done!!! YAY CHRIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thoughts about the Iraqi election - why are they against it?
Michele replied to jumper03's topic in Speakers Corner
Agreed...'twas more inflammatory than reality. While I recognize that the Balfour letter was to placate Rothschild, and while I agree wholeheartedly that the State of Israel, had there been real intent to create such, would not have had such a struggle and it would've been earlier, the Balfour letter does indeed inflame the muslim fundis. The whole region is fascinating and so very complex. The interweaving of the history, the Ottoman Empire, the local culture (allies and enemies), westernization, and the Wahhabist fundi's is so tightly bound together it is sometimes hard to see where one starts and the other leaves off. Mike, the Balfour Declaration was one of the "things" OBL has been ranting about for years, even though the State of Israel was not established for many years and another world war. Do you think this factors into the Al Zarqari et al ranting too? Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~ -
Jer, they *do* seem to have missed that stuff in their article....I wonder if plagiarism could be counted in performance art? I know the parameters elsewhere, just not "performance art." Give the little man a hug for me. Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~

I wasn't meaning to poke you, Mark my friend. More simply relating my experience. Not by me...nor those I jump with. If you need time, you get time. I'll take the go-around, any day of the week. Besides, with go-arounds, you have clearer airspace... Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~

Cats. Two of them. Cats are really great. My 5 are all indoor only, and they all get along. They come for cuddles, but don't get offended if you have to leave for a few days - just clean litter, food, and water, and you're set. And if you have two, they'll play with each other and keep each other company when you're not around. It's a win-win! Besides, my 7 month old SiameseSimon walking on his leash is an attention getter, so that's a plus, too. The cute factor works in his favor. OTOH, Bytch had a good idea, too...get a cowboy. You can put him on a leash too. Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~

I had a group screaming "GO! GO! GO!" while on AFF. This was one of the early ones, as I was still leaving with an instructor attached...and iirc, they were tandem masters, and the passengers were "cheering" me on as well. I was taking a while, but it also was AFF... It threw me terribly. I went, but I went badly, and had a rough jump. I was upset on the ground, thinking I had done something wrong, but my AFF instructor told me that I didn't; I was to go when I was ready, and not a moment before. I haven't had it happen since. Not all of them. I am disheartened that a Senator of mine would take an opportunity to berate someone and impugn their integrity in a public arena, when they knew that they were not in the right. I am all for tough questions. This wasn't "tough questioning," it was harranguing, ranting and spewing vitriol for the sake of the camera. That's grandstanding. Does anybody know what all these places have in common???

What he said. It's pretty hard to have a discussion if there isn't anything to discuss.... Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~ -
My scariest jump was jump #4. I had a cut away on #3, very scary. But it was getting back into the plane, and then getting out at altitude which was by far the largest challenge, and the scariest thing, I've ever done. I still wonder where that discipline, faith and courage came from. Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~

Too bad for me. I gotta use the 'net for business. I am very careful about who I show property to, and I have very strict limits as to when I'll show...and when I'm alone with clients. But you really can't bee too careful. I teach my new agents those guidelines, as well. It's sad, really. Juan, I'm covered at home....rest assured, no doubt. I heard about that at the beginning of the week, and was appalled. I could care less which religion it involved, just that it looks very clear that religion was involved. It horrifies me, and saddens me. There was also a recent murder that occurred from an on-line relationship; the murderer killed a pregnant woman and then C-sectioned the baby and the baby is alive and well....the murderer was caught really quickly, and I believe has either confessed or has given some very incriminating evidence. Sad indeed. Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~

Ev, so sorry to hear about Felix. There's nothing harder than making that decision...I've had to make it too. And it's so heart ripping sad. Remember this, though. Felix is free of pain and illness now, and is galloping around at the Rainbow Bridge...waiting for the day he'll see you and Erin again. I am so sorry...he was indeed part of your family, and it is indeed a loss. Hugs to you, my friend. Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~

Have you had to read your posts the next day to see what you wrote?
Michele replied to Evelyn's topic in The Bonfire
I've done that sober....thank God for edit functions. ROFL! At least it was a nice and supportive pm. I was once accused by Lummy of proof-reading while drunk posting from the Bombshelter at Perris. I discovered that I had a typo, and corrected it...but left the original post. Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~
