So they've announced the release of the new OS, which is the 24th of October... It's super cool, and definitely worth purchasing. I got a developers version of it the other day and have been using it since... I can honestly say that it is far superior to any other os out there... well, at least any other mac os, and any of the windowz os. -drew

3 supers otters, a helicopter, a porter, a cessna, and every once in a while, a bi-plane... BUT, we also have a separate airport that we can go and jump into with a restaurant/bar (owned by the DZO) frequented by the public... Sort of like a demo jump. Very cool stuff.

the hawkeye and the aviator come prety big... So does some of the bonehead helmets. Go try on a bunch until you find one you like... They're all so different anyways. -drew (big head)

When do you usually receive your parachutist?
freeflydrew replied to freeflydrew's topic in The Bonfire
Still haven't received it, and my girlfriend (we live together) also hasn't received it.... but I keep on receiving coupons for Linens n Things. This sucks -

Nope Still No!... and I even got my Skydiving Magazine today, which usually always comes a week or so after the Parachutist. I'm going to lose my mind for 2 reasons: 1. No Parachutist 2. Shitty Weather in the forecast -
it doesn't matter what altitude the final alarm is set for, it goes off anyway... It used to ring when I did 270s, but maybe since I've refined my technique it stopped... now it does it when I do a 360 or more.

What was the first piece of equipment you purchased?
freeflydrew replied to freeflydrew's topic in Gear and Rigging
I was just curious... The first thing I purchases was a used TimeOut, followed closely by goggles, then altimeter, helmet, rig, and jumppants. What about you? -

When I was signed up for Parachutist FirstClass Delivery service I received a copy before the 1st of the month... I recently downgraded to regular mail, and am surprised to not have received it still... How far into the month do you do you normally receive your? (I bet that since I wrote this, it'll arrive today) -
The frick fly website has a lot of info on it... The Frick Fly Atmonauti Page translated by Google Or the main page The Frick Fly Main Page Translated by Google -drew

This is the greatest cookie recipe in the entire world... I keep on making the recipe with the intention of sharing, but I eat them all before I have a chance, so here's the recipe (I got it off the web). Seriously folks, just save the attachment, and the next time you want cookies, make these ones. They are incredible.

??? I haven't seen it yet!

I'm in it, but I haven't seen it yet... There's a picture of Jimmy Tranter and I doing a 2 stack, but you can only see Jimmy and my canopy... it's blue and white. -drew

I think that there's a type of VCR that allows you to play both formats... also most dv editing programs can read both formats, so you could look at it on the computer.

Gi incorporated it into the beginning of one of her routines at the World Cup... I think it's her. Either way it's dope. -drew

Search for Attachment/Pictures?
freeflydrew replied to freeflydrew's topic in Suggestions and Feedback
I think it would be neat to search for either postings with attachments or pictures... I think it would be really cool if we could look up a post with this additional criteria... -drew -
"exponential"... Great way of putting it, and definitely true!

I would imagine that once you get to a certain diameter, the tube may be a little too big to have on one leg? And also, I bet that if a tube's diameter is small, it would be awkward to have connected to both legs. I have a tube and it is freakin' big, yo! I jumped it once head down (my 200th jump) and have only jumped it a handful of jumps since, all hand held... I have recently had the urge to bust it out and organize some tube jumps... but the weather is still crappy. -drew
