Because it is BA5E in hexidecimal.

Berkana.com hasn't been up for a while now. This is a good one. I used Google Earth to find the GPS coordinates and plugged them into the ASR Registration Search and found exactly what I was looking for.

I would say the white loop, three different components interact with it. It goes through the line and then the ring and then the toggle goes through it. Edit to add: Is this too obvious of a component to be the right answer?

I've never heard of this! That just might work.
-
I had thought about doing it for fun a while back but decided it would be WAY too time consuming. Good luck.

It's more of the fact that it may be hard to put a rig on while sitting in the chair. The rig comes down far enough on my back that it might interfere with the backrest of the chair. I've asked the guy to make the backrest really low so hopefully that won't be a problem.
-
I hadn't thought about it that way.

It's not really a sponsorship. The owner of the company is in a chair himself. I've met him a few times over the years. I recently ordered a new chair through them and that's when I hit him up. He likes to see people in chairs do fun and exciting things so when I asked if he would let me borrow a chair that might not get returned he was more than willing. He used an old frame they had laying around that was my size and proceeded to customize the rest just for me. He really went out of his way. He's not expecting anything in return but I'm sure he wouldn't mind some pictures published somewhere.

Colours (a wheelchair manufacturer) has graciously given me a chair for free to use for the jump. I told them I'd give it back if it survived.
-
Yup, just like I go off curbs. I do a wheelie onto the back wheels. This keeps the front from going down first when going over the curb. I think the scary part will be when I'm in a wheelie, balancing on the rear wheels, with the fronts wheels over the edge, hanging there for a few seconds while I muster up the courage to go. I've tried this exit off a 2 foot drop into a pool and I stay in a vertical position. That in and of itself is some funny video that I have. One problem is being able to get to the BOC while sitting in the chair. Hence the PCA possibility.
-
WHAT!? I didn't tell you about this? I'm planning on doing a jump while sitting in my chair. I'd like to be able to go stowed and take a VERY short delay but we'll see if that's possible. It might just end up being a PCA. Still it'll be fun. The thought right now is to have the chair fall away after opening. Then I'll d-bag a little cargo round off my ass (really my legs straps) just for the chair. Just thinking about it is making me laugh at how silly this will be.

Dude, you're going to miss the wheelchair jump!?! Definite bummer!!

I'm arriving into TWF airport late Thursday night and leaving Monday evening.

Now if there was an action shot of the guy high siding off the panda....

Excuses, excuses. We all know you suck at spot landing! Now me on the other hand...I can land anywhere....as long as I wasn't actually trying for it!!
-
It really is too bad no one got that on video! Especially with you in your underwear.
-
I didn't see the video so yes please put it on the CD for me!
-
It was a pleasure to meet and jump with you too! I look forward to doing it again in the future!! Until then, Cya

I couldn't agree with you more! That goes for everyone that helps! From packing, to drying out gear, to setting up and tearing down platforms. Thanks!!!
-
Did they come out with this second story because you called them and talked to them about their bad reporting the first time? Or did they just do it themselves?
-
It is funny to see that's why. But like you said...whatever works for you.

I'm off ot the Potatoe bridge to do some BASE jumping. Yippy!
-
Great, so now BASE jumping requires breath holding skills! That's fine, my PR is 5:03 anyway.
-
The idea for this is to protect my ass from breaking when I land on the ground. Drowning is a good possibility with this when I test it into the water first. Haven't gotten that far in thinking yet.

If he moved his shoulders then I'm sure he'll be breathing on his own soon enough. To find out why take a look at the Level and Function chart below the spinal cord diagram on this website. Edit to add: Also read farther down about complete and incomplete injuries. Most injuries are incomplete and after some time a level or two of function is regained if not more. I guess I wrote all this just to be informative. Most people don't know about spinal injuries. Hopefully none of this will apply to him though!
