I don't think Seth is a lesbian...not in the strictest sense of the word, anyway. Skydiving is for cool people only

Or maybe it had you in tears because you're a pansy-assed girly-man. I'm "truely" sad for Erk, too. Pretending to like you really wears him down. Skydiving is for cool people only

That was so lame, I'm demoting you. You're now IHJ#18. Skydiving is for cool people only
  4. I'm just dreaming here.... But if you could do either, which would you do? I've done a tunnel camp, and it was incredible, but it didn't teach me much about exits and other things. It was very removed from the reality of skydiving. On the other hand, at the tunnel camp I spent an hour and a half flying in 3 days. A skills camp is around 50 coached and videoed skydives in a week. Let's fantasize! If you could do any one kind of training, what would it be and why? Freeflyers and swoopers play too. There are tunnel camps and skills camps for your ilk as well. Skydiving is for cool people only
  5. I got a flu shot yesterday! At least, they told me it was a flu shot. I vaguely suspect it was POISON though. Skydiving is for cool people only

Loathing you is a full-time job. No wonder I'm always so tired: Two jobs. My bird said to tell you he does not want your affection, and he wishes that he could chew holes in your larnyx. Skydiving is for cool people only

Okie dokie.... 1. Job Knowledge: Consider general knowledge, work-gained experience and specialized training. Can employee handle most routine aspects of the job with minimum supervision? Does employee have a clear understanding of the job duties? Does the employee learn from experience and grow in the job? 2. Quality of Work: Consider volume of work accomplished in relation to amount of work assigned. Does the employee consistaently turn out satisfactory work? God, these are dumb. Here's my favorite: 7. Appearance/Responsibility: Consider the ability to care for tools, equipment and supplies. Does the employee maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area? Does the employee maintain personal neatness appropriate for the job? I want to answer: "Yes, I shower." Skydiving is for cool people only

So I had some skydiving stuff coming via UPS but they came when I wasn't here and they dropped it off at my apartment's leasing office -- which doesn't open back up until Monday!!!!!!!! And it's pissing rain. And I have to fill out this stupid self-evaluation form for work which I promised to have in last week but still can't bring myself to do because it makes me sound like an asshole. And I don't have enough outlets in this room to plug in the stereo, light, and iron in all at once. Since I can't iron in the dark, I have to iron in silence. Therefore life sucks. Thank you very much. Skydiving is for cool people only
  17. Oh Andrea, that's hilarious. It's true though. I used to live in downtown Dallas, and I drove home every day right by the grassy knoll. There were always tourists crawling around, even in the rain. I wanted to unroll my window and scream "WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU??" Friends from out of town always wanted to go to the West End. "Why?" I'd ask. "That place is a dump!" And now I live in San Antonio. At first, I was enchanted, and wanted to go to the River Walk all the time. Now I avoid it like the plague. To answer Speedy's question: Because of my job, I've never been able to make the dropzone my second home. I've just never had the time. But I do love skydiving, and if I had the chance, I'm pretty sure I'd be out at the dz every chance I had. That doesn't mean I wouldn't do other stuff though. When I was living in Dallas, I was in writer's groups, I met friends for lunch regularly, and I had an active after-hours social life. Maybe I'm naive, but I believe you can skydive "hard-core" and still be a well rounded person. Anyway, all you yankees have all winter to be cultured. *poke* Skydiving is for cool people only
  18. I do too, but the Dems don't. They were frantically trying to replace him within hours. Looks like it's gonna be Walter Mondale. Skydiving is for cool people only
  19. This was a crucial race for the Democrats, who are trying very hard to maintain their majority in the Senate. It will be hard to put a Democrat in that seat now, with like a week and a half left for campaigning. Skydiving is for cool people only

  21. I didn't really understand what you were saying in that thread either, if I catch your drift right. Maybe the piece of paper needs a checkup! Or maybe I'm just a moron. I have a little piece of paper that says I'm not, though.... Skydiving is for cool people only

  24. My plan for my next vehicle is to get a lease-return Toyota. It'll be a couple of years old, well cared for (lease paranoia), and really cheap. Then I can drive it for the next 150,000 miles like I've done with my Tacoma. Don't spend anywhere NEAR 20K. That's so many jump tickets. Skydiving is for cool people only
  25. Hey, this is happening to me, too! First I went to the Home page and clicked on "skydivers" to look up a full profile. I got this: Dropzone: Login Error Login Error Oops, there was a problem logging into the system: invalid/expired user session. Please try logging in again, or lookup your password if you forgot it.
