I think the success of long-distance relationships depends entirely on the people involved. I've never met anyone besides Phree for whom I'd put up with a cross-country distance. But I'd rather have him thousands of miles away than anyone else close by. Even if he does have lousy taste in friends. I think another key is a plan to shorten the distance, at least eventually. No one could do this forever.

I was in school for a year and a half and I was completely fucking it up. I dropped out (before they kicked me out) and worked in the billing department of an air conditioning supply company for eight months. I didn't do anything fun like skydiving -- I couldn't have afforded it. The next fall, I was sooooooooo ready to go back to school. I switched my major from something ridiculous to something I actually enjoyed, and ended up doing very well. If you've lost perspective, I advocate taking a little time off. Skydiving is for cool people only

I have that kind of knife, and I bet I know why it flew off -- cause the pouch that comes with it is crap! The knife is loosely held in there with one little dab of velcro. I need to fix it. (Otherwise, I like the knife.) Skydiving is for cool people only

I have skydiving nightmares all the time, but I don't think they have anything to do with actual skydiving. I think my mind just translates it into that from something else. Some of my dreams are about people bouncing, right and left, raining bodies, no-pulls everywhere. So a non-attempted 9-way doesn't sound so bad. I experience no-jump frustration all the time. I get to jump about an eighth of what I'd like. Try doing something related to skydiving...learning rigging, studying basic body flight (there are videos and stuff), watching skydiving movies...it'll be spring soon enough. Skydiving is for cool people only

No. I was born and raised in Texas and you, my friend, have a SERIOUS Southern accent. I used to speak French pretty well. I even have a minor in it. Years of disuse have atrophied my ability though. Skydiving is for cool people only

Take trips to Ohio and Washington D.C., stare in abject wonder at the snow, jump as much as I can, pack reserve parachutes, make obscene phone calls to Columbus, and myriad other wonderful things, I'm sure. Skydiving is for cool people only
