  1. This photo attachment is a good representation of the shifting borders. ~~We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly~~MLK

  5. Sweety, I thought you'd be more offended with me calling you "Dickie". I never called you a sociopath; I only stated that lack of empathy was on the check list for a sociopath. The idea of a single-unitary actor who speaks for the nation is infuriating, to say the least. This is not new to this administration, the forces are stronger than one man. As long as we remain convinced we are in a constant state of red alert, more and more rights will be stripped as MNCs continue serve their own agendas while pulling the puppet strings. Illegal invasions, occupations and dollars being spent abroad for posturing while they should be spent at home rebuilding are in the cross-hairs of my radar everyday! Can we just kiss and make up? (no humor intended, just passing the peace pipe) J Pots should be shaken, not stirred!
  6. Dickie, I can't lighten up; if I did, it might be confused with a sense of humor and then I might be labeled a 'sociopath'! Jeans ~~We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly~~MLK
  7. Interstate genocides are not as easy as they used to be; however, this past 25 years the numbers of atrocities within a state's border are on the increase. Why? because the tension that exists between the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide and the Geneva Convention article 2 (1): "The Organization is based on the principle of the sovereign equality of all its Members." & (7): "Nothing contained in the present Charter shall authorize the United Nations to intervene in matters which are essentially within the domestic jurisdiction of any state . . ." This UN 'respect' for sovereignty is protected until someone in the international arena cries "GENOCIDE"; unfortunately, charter members are reluctant to do so, oftentimes, until it is too late or until the offending party is thoroughly exhausted from swinging machetes. There is no humor or a lighter side of genocide when 800,000 plus people are killed in 100 days while the world watches. Keep your sense of humor when bad shit is happening to you, not when it happens to other people. That is a clear sign of lack of empathy, which is one of the signs of a sociopath in the making. ~~We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. 8. One more thing before I stop beating THIS DEAD HORSE. These are excerpts from different instances where "God spoke to devout christians." ~~~~~~ A Texas woman who stoned two of her children to death and seriously injured a third on Mother's Day last year told psychiatrists she was driven to kill by a message from God and that she was sure they would rise again from the dead. ~~~~~~~ A Virginia man diagnosed with schizophrenia told reporters that he cut his 5-year-old son's head off to save him from the anti-Christ. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Andrea Yates: While in prison, Andrea stated she had considered killing the children for two years, adding that they thought she was not a good mother and claimed her sons were developing improperly. Yates told her jail psychiatrist, "It was the seventh deadly sin. My children weren't righteous. They stumbled because I was evil. The way I was raising them, they could never be saved. They were doomed to perish in the fires of hell." Yates also told her jail psychiatrist that Satan influenced her children and made the children more disobedient and told Psychiatrist Kids 'Didn't Do Things God Likes'. What is the difference between Yates and Abraham? Both heard voices from God and were told to kill their children, and both (would have) obliged very willingly. Is the only difference that one happened during primitive times and the other one happened today? How come God's word is not pure in Andrea but is in Abraham? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ If I heard voices to tell me to kill my child, I would know I was crazy and seek help! Michele Bachmann, God told her to run for congress and now, president. Sweet! I'm done.
  9. No pressure, Babe. But I find it amazing that your own contradictory statements, when pointed out, go unanswered. Now, if you want to talk about bizarre, ok……. SO, I put this forth, again..... including, but not limitted to "I wasn't talking about Christians" then go back to our exchanges in #321, 323 & 324 regarding Matthew, Muslims style of prayer and people preaching on corners. .... even more bizarre . . . . ////////////////// But why waste time bantering about biases and insignificant words? The big issue is that we disagree, yet, I do not try to sway you or your children, to my beliefs.
  10. Why doesn't the forum have a 'like' button? Which is why you sit confused and some do not. God created the universe and the laws of physics that govern it. Lovers of God do not get a special pass exempting them form the vicissitudes of life. God did promise however that He would never leave or forsake us. I don't feel confused in the least...and I bet you don't feel delusional. ~~We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. 11. Oh, ok...so you didn't say this: This is getting bizzare... Quoting directly from the exchange.... Nowhere in this exchange were 'christians' referred to directly. But, if you would like my opinion, yes, I think they are more committed. They hold their prayers in private, the ones I know and see daily, show kindness, not righteous condemnation. Now, if you want to talk about bizarre, ok……. then go back to our exchanges in #321, 323 & 324 regarding Matthew, Muslims style of prayer and people preaching on corners. .... even more bizarre . . . . But... whatever. You have your beliefs, I have mine.
  12. No I was not saying they were more committed. Nighty-Night
  13. I wasn't talking about muslims... Oh, then you must have accidentally replied to the wrong reply, because I was not talking about christians, my apologies.
  14. Exactly, the only Muslims I know who pray, when they are not in Mosque, go into a back room and close the door and pray in private. Never seen 'em throw out a rug on a street corner (even ones don't know). But I have seen others on street corners, in tents, and on the street corners, praying and preaching. ....Just sayin' ~~We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. 15. Like the writings of the ancient historian Josephus? And Josephus is one who describes multiple Dæmons of the 4 realms. "Igneous, this order of dæmons haunts the air above, the second occupies the air contiguous to us; Aireal, the third is Earthly, the forth the aqueous and Marine, the fifth the Subterranean and the last the Lucifugus". In mythology, in order to explain the natural wonders, occurrences, and disasters they couldn't explain gods and beings were invented. ~~We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. 20. Why is it absurd? Does this sound familiar? TIME TO DIE FOR GOD Or ARMAGEDDON WHICH SIDE ARE YOU ON? "We are at the end of an Age. As was prophesied, this is the "judgment time" for all living creatures on or related to this planet – in other words, the time when "where we find ourselves," as result of our accumulated choices during our time here, determines our Judgment. It is also possible that part of our test of faith is our hating this world, even our flesh body, to the extent to be willing to leave it without any proof of the
  21. Or maybe they are more "sure"; they are definitely more committed. I am struck by the power of a community that stops for prayer, in unison, 6 times per day. To be respected, even by an atheist. ~~We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly~~MLK
  22. Once a suppressed population has had enough and they have nothing left to lose, yes, they are willing to die. Just as the protestors in Egypt, Tienanmen Square et al. have been willing to die in order to change the status quo. Change never comes without resistance.
  23. Yes, I have seen the great things missionaries have done down the entire coast of California and throughout Baja. I have only seen a few that don't attech "spreading the word of god". Mother Theresa's being one of them. 24. Gnostics were the first to pass down the oral tradition, that is what they were refered to as. They only became the anti Christian "Gnostics" you describe when choosing the books of the Bible. thus the beliefs in the "gnostic" bible we have today, are those who include the books of Judas, Mary et al. 25. Yes, Exactly, When he finds out that Santa Claus does not come down the chimney and eat all the cookies. "If you are good, he'll bring you presents, if you are bad, coal."
