Is it me or is it just the people here in SC that love to expend their energy, more like waste their energy, in debating with Christians about their bibles, belief in jesus, god, heaven and hell? IMO I stand strong in what I don't want to/wish to not believe in. I don't go around wasting my time/energy asking inane questions or debating with those that have blind faith. I work in the city and I encounter hundreds of emotionally disturbed individuals in the street. Do I start asking them why they believe that they're from Mars or why they believe that the world is coming to an end today? NO. What do I do? I simply walk across the street to avoid them and go about my business. Therefore, why would anyone here that is an Atheist/Unbeliever want to be curious or argue points about things that don't exist or things that they don't believe in? It just doesn't make any sense to me. I'd rather stand strong in what I don't want to believe in and concentrate in what I do believe in this life such as, money, beer, skydiving, picking up chicks every night and getting laid! What I meant to say is that the rest of us shouldn't say what we could, would or should have done. Many different factors can dictate how one handles a situation, no matter if they're trained in high stress situations or not. A death in the family, a bad break up, a bad day at work, having a heated argument, being intoxicated etc. All those additional factors can dictate how a person will react to a high stress situation, trained or not trained, it's part of being human. Hey, I know for a fact that I shouldn't say how I will react to a given situation until it's actually presented to me at that given moment. And by that time, my head would probably be blown off. Where you from miss thang? I was born and bred in NYC and I've lived here for over 37 years. I just moved to NJ less than 3 mos ago. If you would have read that I know Brownsville, Brooklyn, The South Bronx & South Queens you would have figured out I know the fucked up part of NYC. Read the papers Miss April Cat Diva. It said that the police officers said that they strongly believed that there was a gun in the car. I never said that there was one. The newspapers did. Hoy Ve! Forget all that noise. My main point is that why don't we trust the American Justice System and allow them to do their job. Wait till all the facts are presented in court and see what verdict the jury comes up with. I never said the gun was found. Dude read the newspapers. The officers said they saw the man had a gun. You know what, you're probably 100% right. You've made some strong interesting points. However, you know better than anyone else that since this case is still under investigation, you should just wait till the case is closed. The police commissioner and the mayor already stated in the newspapers that the amount of force was excessive. So guess what that means? Either way if the gun fairy returned the gun or not. They kinda sorta do this. What they do now is called a lottery. There's about 200-300 people that put their name on a list and 20 of those people get to pay $20 for Orchestra seats (the very front row). Their neighbors commented on how great people they all were. It kind of made me step back and see it from a different point of view. This is exactly what everyone should do. Take a step back and wait to see what new developments take place regarding the investigation. And better yet, see what the outcome of court case is both civil and criminal courts.
