  1. I would definitely speak with the owner of dz directly. You must take it easy on the language though. I have a huge problem with that myself, but if you act like that, even if they are dead wrong they may not care to help you. I would be absolutely pissed myself, thats a pretty shitty deal. I hope it all works out. don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  2. Skydive dallas allows only 180's and below in their main landing area, and if you want to do more you land in another area. This is effective, but obviously it will not prevent all mistakes and bad decisisons. Everyone needs to educate other jumpers and themselves as much as possible. Accidents happen, we must educate. don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  3. I totally agree don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  4. lol lots of coffe and smokes, just kiddin. I am glad to see at least someone finds my profile funny, everyone else just gets bitter. don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  5. every premi I have seen has been from the gear. Javelins need to have a few things happen: upward main closing closing flap, better riser covers and secondary riser covers, and do away with the pop top. I owned a javelin and the main flap was open almost every sit fly jump, and I have seen several friends with open riser covers and main flaps. I have seen he pilot chute spit out from under the pop top. These are pretty easy and pretty obvious fixes to me. But this is a completely different thread now, but that is what i have seen and experienced with javelin. When was the last time they have really changed anyhting abou the rig I have seen older ones and they all look barely different? don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  6. pc 101 is close in size. I would call aerostore they are a dealer for rawa, and they may have an idea. don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  7. i haven't got the xt yet, I was posting this to basically see if I should get the body with the 18-55 lens or just get the body and get a fixed lens. So if anyone you know or have heard of is jumping this setup let me know please don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  8. have a pc 109 with any of the lenses i have mentioned and have an canon xt i will be using for the stills don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  9. I am going to filming tandems so I was going to jump the royal lens .5x or the liquid lens .45x for video. I need to know what size fixed focal lens for a canon xt would be compatible with the .5x or .45x. Hope this all makes sense I don't know much on the technical side of cameras. thanks, Joel don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  10. I am really happy with my rawa you can get it through aerostore don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  11. 2300 because all the stuff by itself is more but when sold as a complete system is less usually don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  12. thanks man this whole thread really bugged me from what I was seeing being posted. don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  13. the guy who had the hard cuutaway was jumping a velo a lttile but smaller than your vx and he really could have died. WHY take the risk? Anyway whatever you decide I really hope that you are careful. Joel don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  14. first it will reduce the risk, correct myself there. second, type "hard housings skydiving" on google and click on the first article you come to this proves the cutaway force is less with the hard housings. Third, type "hard housings preventing hard pull skydiving" in google and click the red zone the second article in that search, and it will tell you in the 7th line of hard cutaway section that it will reduce the risk. Joel don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  15. simple, i have seen a hard pull and the guy almost died because he was jumping soft housing risers and could not cut away. This is one of those things that is an easy fix. They will not hurt you to jump with them, they only prevent a possible catastrophe. When you get line twists the cable can be twisted so hard that it is pinched together which creates a hard cutaway or no cutaway, the hard housings have been proven to prevent this. Why risk it is my question to all? Joel don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  16. rawa has a freefly open face that i hear is nice and the camera helmet without the camera box is super comfy and protects your head. it also has two internal audibles. I jump with two audibles always. If you see no reason, the sim does reccomend as well, for freeflying. If thats your cup of tea. hope it helps joel don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  17. one of the things i think is important, and im drawing a blank right now too. When packing, all lines especially the brake lines and d lines should be right down the middle to prevent lineovers. A lot of people i've seen packing is careless and some don't even know. BOC maintenance is huge too. Hope this lil bit helps man sorry for not sharing more. Pulling the kill line instead of the hackey is good too. That is just useless wear on the pilot chute. good lick bro joel don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  18. i wouldnt pay more than a 1000 you can always find good deals on this website also some of the best are the ones of people getting out of the sport. don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  19. that was in refference to not being enough coaches. I would rather see some good ones rather than a lot of so so ones. Also if you read my first post it was that i posted this for those who wanted to voice their concerns with folks at uspa not to sit here and further substantiate my opinions. Joel don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  20. I also have a couple frineds that get rocked by theirs almost always. Look at the reviews this has been a big problem with them don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  21. maybe 200-250 thereis no magic number as i said boosting the standards would only help shorten the gap of incompetent teachers and that goes along with the skill of flying and teaching. The jump numbers are just a basis. As i said in my last post quality over quantity this is the wrong sport to take the risk of iggnorance. don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  22. I personally would not buy this setup. My first was a dolphin w triathlon 190 and tempo res and cypres for 1200 and i jumped it for bout 100 jumps then sold for 100 dollars cheaper. Sabre 1's suck don't buy it don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  23. This is why i believe on qualtiy over quantity. You can always bring coaches out of the woodwork if you ask. If not maybe the dzo should put on a course for qualified skydivers or pay their gas or somehting if they have to go somewhere else. I don't think that would be unreasonable. don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  24. I don't think that anyone is arguing this point. Yes, it is better to have someone wtih you that you know had to go through some sort of training to get his or her rating. But, I do think that they need to raise the standards on how many jumps they need to have, obviously some people see this as a problem and if the standards were raised this would HELP close that gap. don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  25. I would like to hear from everyone that does submit concerns to the uspa Thanks joel don't try your bullshit with me!!!
