  1. Look at the rig tour on the UPT site. don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  2. I absolutely agree with pzone. My thoughts on it are, why not have them? No matter what position (freeflying or rw) your ass is covered. I guess I don't understand other's ideas of, "well this rig is fine for being on your belly" Why not KNOW, no matter what this rig is sound in the air. If you doubt it, you may just ask yourself, what am I going to gain by not having them? Joel don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  3. how do you flare don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  4. thats pretty neat man, wish there was a swooping version don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  5. if you are entangled and you cutaway your helmet is still connected. Not good. I am just going to ask Mr. Booth himself. You guys can continue the thread if you want. don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  6. thanks don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  7. I have heard some people supporting jumping camera with skyhook saying that it isn't a big deal and others saying not to don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  8. Heard mixed info about this let me know what you think. don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  9. Yeah I think my nuts went into my stomach when I missed mine. lol don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  10. I am 6'1'' 220 and athletic build I own a vector. The problem I did have with my javelin is that it rode really high on my back even though the harness was well big enough for me. It made my pilot chute hard to reach, and I actually missed it once. I kinda took it easy on working out shoulders for a while, and I am pretty flexible so wasn't muscle bound. Just another thing to consider. Joel don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  11. I love my vector 3. secondary riser covers are a plus, main pin protection is better. Bill Booth is a genious, his designs have lead the way for a while and keeps coming up with new and better ideas. I have owned a javelin and have a lot of friends with javelins and am not impressed. I have experineced and seen open riser covers, main flaps open, pilot chute pertruding from pop top. I think the javelin is well crafted, but they haven't really changed much about the functionality of the rig in a long time. I do think both are good rigs, but the v3 has all bases covered. I think the v3's are easier to repack as well. No rig is foolproof but some are more safe than others. don't try your bullshit with me!!!

Small and accurate audible. They have a solid design that has been proven to work. The price is reasonable.
  13. man you are mature don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  14. glad your okay, do us all a favor and latch on to an s&ta or very sharp jumper about ep's and packing. Ask questions, a lot of em that is the only way to learn don't be shy about it. don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  15. I am going to agree to disagree with you man. Be Safe, Joel don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  16. weight belt, less drag on suit. Hopefully your friends aren't jumping tight suits and weigh 250 out the door. Just kiddin. Call a suit manufacturer and ask them their opinion. don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  17. Economics? Having just up jumpers will break a dz's bank account. I would say, go ask a dzo if up jumpers are economical, and they will more than likely say no. If for some reason they did say yes than why are student and tandem jumps so much more expensive then. If they are making good money off up jumpers(WHICH THEY ARE NOT) then shouldn't a 170 dollar tandem be about 60 or 70 dollars. 21 for the TI's slot 21 for the student slot and 20-30 dollars profit for the TI, since he's doing the work. Wher is the dz's cut? its in the slots (DON'T THINK SO) So are hop and pops uneconomical? YES. Will it kill the business to let people do hop and pops? NO. If your answer is yes, then why is this issue just now coming up. Why haven't they caught it, after all these years? Businesses tend to catch on to financial deficiencies like that. Tandems and students priced the way they are now, makes up jumping and hop and pops and everything else we love to do POSSIBLE. That is what fills the economic hole. don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  18. Up jumping is NOT economical either, so that is a moot point. If you want to be economial about it everyone would be paying about 40 dollars per slot. That won't happen. If it does I will move somewhere else. What happened to people jumping because they love the sport. Sadly, it is already, and sadly more and more always about the money. There are dz's around the country that do great financially and have swoopers and seperate landing areas, etc. So once again that is a cop out in my opinion. don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  19. there have been many suggestions that can remedy this problem and has worked at other dz's as said earlier in the thread. This makes me think of people who think motorcycles cause accidents on the road. We might as well ban those why we are at it and lock ourselves in our houses so there is no risk of hurting ourselves or others. Let's not try to fix it lets just totally get rid of swoopers. That is what this whole thing sounds like to me, just stupid. don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  20. you may want to check skydivingfatalities.info what little reading I did i found that on 6 of the 21 deaths last year according to this query were be cause of swoopers. You and everyone may want to check that out. don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  21. I was dead set on not swooping when i came in too, then i opened my mind to a whole new world and won't look back until my body can't take it anymore don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  22. was trying to state that there are idiots both swoopers and non swoopers. Look at how many non swoopers have died too, not just the swoppers here. Yes a good knowledgeable swooper will typically know more of canopy flight and its rules. i am sick and tired of people using swoopers as the scape goat. They certainly were not the only ones creating this problem. Good that you guys find it easier to point the finger. Swooping in traffic should have never been allowed, spilt areas and seperate can certainly reduce the risk. There will always be risk though, if you don't like the amount of risk take up speed walking or something. The sport is being filled with a bunch of yuppe a holes who can fly a damn kite in my opinion. don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  23. not all, i could have stated that better. I also know there are a lot of idiot canopy pilots who are not swoopers and I would rather be in the air with a bunch of good swoopers than a few idiot standard pattern flyers any day of the week. Swoopers really tend to know more about canopy piloting in all senses because they need to to be safe. As i said before this is not a swooping prob its a skydiving prob. Someone had posted some stats earlier you should see. don't try your bullshit with me!!!
