That's not about white privilege. That's about a racist judge who's behind schedule for a good arse kicking.

Brother, I have to side with the left on this one. And, in part, you are correct. One-time shot in the arms aren't that great, but it is something. IMO: It should have been $600 - $1,000/month this whole time. Any time there's a recession/depression, the Keynesian Model works. Get money into the hands of the consumers that make less than "X" and they spend. Moving money around is what gets the economy to rebound.

That is an opinion piece that is 100% wrong about Keynesian economics.

The multiplier effect, developed by Keynes’s student Richar Kahn, is one of the chief components of Keynesian countercyclical fiscal policy. According to Keynes's theory of fiscal stimulus, an injection of government spending eventually leads to added business activity and even more spending. This theory proposes that spending boosts aggregate output and generates more income. If workers are willing to spend their extra income, the resulting growth in the gross domestic product( GDP) could be even greater than the initial stimulus amount. The magnitude of the Keynesian multiplier is directly related to the marginal propensity to consume. Its concept is simple. Spending from one consumer becomes income for a business that then spends on equipment, worker wages, energy, materials, purchased services, taxes and investor returns. That worker's income can then be spent and the cycle continues. Keynes and his followers believed individuals should save less and spend more, raising their marginal propensity to consume to effect full employment and economic growth. In this theory, one dollar spent in fiscal stimulus eventually creates more than one dollar in growth.* This appeared to be a coup for government economists, who could provide justification for politically popular spending projects on a national scale. https://www.investopedia.com/terms/k/keynesianeconomics.asp#:~:text=Keynesian economics is a macroeconomic,to understand the Great Depression. * NOTE: It's actually seven dollars that is not only generated, but can be taxed as it moves thru the economic chain. EDIT: Keynesian theorists believe the only savings should be for retirement and education.

There are two types of herd immunity - it was originally from natural infection (Sweden tried this and it no worky).. With COVID, it is estimated that 67% of the world's population would have to have both vaccine phases. Now, that sounds cool, but - it would require the entire world to stop and have 67% of the population vaccinated at the same time on the same day. That's not quite feasible, so it's going to be a chase game for at least a year or two before we even come close to vaccine-derived herd immunity.

So, we should all take one in the ass to prevent HIV. /sarcasm

We had this discussion around June of 2020. Most of us agreed that "Qualified" and "Sovereign" immunity should be removed. Being immune from civil suit or criminal prosecution allows those in positions of power to act outside the law.

Personally, I've always thought the Nobel Peace Prize should go to Presidential mistresses.

Brother, I really don't care what the extreme of either side has to say.

This cracked me up - "The names of Abraham Lincoln, George Washington and other prominent figures including California Sen. Dianne Feinstein will be removed from 44 San Francisco public schools . . ." https://apnews.com/article/race-and-ethnicity-san-francisco-school-boards-education-dianne-feinstein-8ed10976d4041129917914f7dd73c14e Here's a solution - I went to P.S.99 - Just name them numbers. Guess it's a good thing there's only 44 schools, so no kid gets tarnished with "I went to PS 69" : )

I'm talking about "Effective Communication." One process involves sending messages, and the other involves receiving messages. The responsibility of communication lies with the sender and the sender must factor in all types of scenarios, the environment, generational gaps, cultural differences. language barriers, along with the method of delivery, etc. The goal is to ensure that >90% of the audience (receivers) get the message intended. What you're talking about is the responsibility of the receiver to address any uncertainty and they should respond with appropriate questions. If the discussion is about environmental geology, specifically melting glaciers and someone asks you a question about that topic, then you answer it and make a note to ensure you cover that in the next discussion. Consider it a form of communication six sigma.
