  1. Sky, my point begins with tone. There was a time when we were more decent, civil, courteous, and all the other synonyms that go with decency. We all remember a time when you got to a four way stop and everyone would wave each other through instead of trying to blast through and flip each other off. The true beginning of the loss of decency came about with social media. When everybody started hollering at each other and nobody was talking. Right here on DZ.com. We talked. Not only did I enjoy the conversations, but learned things, learned about myself. I didn't feel as though I was in a constant verbal tennis match with the ball being hit harder to drive me away from middle, but softer to being me closer to that center net. This is my view of the world now. Tone & Decency. Not everyone on the other side is an extremist and yet we talk to each other that way. Nothing starts out with a point anymore. It starts out with if you're on the right, you must be a Nazi trump loving idiot. And the left, tree-hugging, gay loving, Marxists who believe in unicorns and fairy dust. Dare bring up God and YOU are the antichrist and your religion is responsible for ALL the world's problems. We had some right-wings that brought up Muslims as enemies and the left cried foul, but that same cry can't be heard when the discussion is about Christianity. Maybe we've grown apart over the years since we're no longer in proximity, but it seems we could do a better job of talking with each other instead of at each other. Decency - argued past or present. How about we start here and now and work towards the future. Not all the world's ills were started by ALL on the right, or Christians, or Left, or Atheists', or Marxists, or Muslims, or Jews, or Black or White. There's always been a fringe to each stirring up the pot.

French President Macron: Unvaccinated no longer citizens This oughta go well.
  3. Phil, we were talking about respecting other cultures to include Christianity, Islam Judaism, Hindu, etc. etc. EDIT: Ummm yeah, what Bill said.
  4. Bottom Line: One should treat race, creed, religion. gender, with respect. This country is going to shit for one reason and one reason only - we have lost our sense of decency towards others. We spend more time finding the minority of bad in a group, than we do the majority of good. Two valuable lessons: If you don't have anything nice to say; keep your mouth closed. If you're not willing to say it to their face; then don't say it at all.

He's French. They like to piss off everybody.
  6. I've heard people at boogie pray after a night of partying to stop having bowel movements so they could get on a load (no pun intended).
  7. But what if religion IS your skin color.
  8. I thought it was $24.00 now or is that with the "I jump with Trevor" discount?

According to the article, "Dr. Syed Haider has also recommended flax seed oil." Cause nothing says diarrhea more than adding flaxseed oil to your diet.
  10. I can tell you as a former FFL - they will not look at it as an opportunity to educate. They will take it as, "I'm not the government's police department" or some other form of not my job.
  11. OK. I now "know" for a scientific fact that one can verify rigger seals in the Aviation Registry. Welcome back Nipple Boy. Your particular brand of smartass would help to freshen things up in here a bit.
  12. Morning, Do you denigrate all African-Americans because of a few thugs in Chicago, LA, NY, etc.?
  13. As you said in post #56, "Sure but today and now. . . " I have to agree with Bill. Like him was raised Roman Catholic and still have on toe in the water (family) and have been impressed with his approach, 1) when asked about Gays, his response was, "Who am I to judge?" and 2) He just told Biden to keep taking communion - in spite of his stance on Abortion. These two items have needed to be addressed for awhile and the comfort it's given to Catholics around the world speaks volumes as to future direction.
  14. I "believe" one can now verify rigger seals in the FAA registry.
  15. Morning, There's a couple of companies that specialize in helping rural areas. A few points they make regarding the community or community leaders being early adopters are: Undisrupted and even increased commerce through local tourism and regular traveler stopovers, as EV owners from urban areas will naturally avoid small towns where they don’t have access to charging stations A stable source of additional revenue for the community A boost to individual businesses where charging stations are installed, as potential customers who drive EVs will choose to do business where they can also conveniently charge their vehicles A stronger local economy SOURCE: https://www.evconnect.com/blog/the-future-of-ev-charging-in-rural-towns-and-how-to-prepare
  16. I'm kinda laughing at myself cause I did see that, but I thought it was just another 10 minutes of Netflix - you need to watch these on Netflix promos.
  17. There is a long list of your peers that do not think it an illogical belief. List of Christians in science and technology You say I'm just trying to be politically correct. I say I'm trying to be as respectful of another culture as I am of any other.
  18. I'm going to respectfully disagree. It gives an element of respect for someone's beliefs while acknowledging that you don't believe the same way.
  19. I watched it Saturday night and turned it off when the credits started rolling. Went to lunch with another couple the next day and they were telling us about these additional scenes we'd missed. By then we'd heard enough not to go back and scroll to the end end. Or, end, end, end.
  20. There's several disparaging terms. Why not just, "Your God."
  21. Sure, every Sunday on the hour starting at 9:00AM. OK. That was funny
  22. Agreed. Thank you. While I "identify" more with pantheism and Buddhism, I've heard people referring to those who believe in God as sky puppet worshippers or those who believe in sky puppets. To me, it is as disparaging against a culture as it is to call someone a racial slur.
