I've always been a fan of the tenors going back to Mario Lanza. This was a British Idol competition. When the man says he's going to sing opera, the guy on the left looks to his left like, "Yeah, right." When he starts singing, Simon goes from an apathetic look on his face to "Holy Shit." This man's beautiful voice moved me emotionally. To think the world is just now discovering this talent... The good news is - he's come forward and I hope we get to see an album soon. http://www.maniacworld.com/Phone-Salesman-Amazes-Crowd.html Sorry, if it's a repost. WRONG I don't know where you got this. but you do not twist your feet to one side at 50 feet. Go back and talk to your Instructors and knock out 50 on the way. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Joe sent me a few of the wedding pull-up cords. I can attest to Joe's source for pull-up cords being of high quality. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Please talk with your Instructors regarding the different flare characteristics of the Navigator and the type of 230 you're now flying. There is a difference. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Technically; a ticket is a certificate of arrest and the officer is just releasing you on an OR. When the kid refused to sign, the only other option is physical arrest. I think he was a little too quick on the draw. Once the physical arrest was made, the kid was right, he wasn't read his rights. My guess is an attorney will make this go away and the officer will receive a reprimand. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Allow search results to order by price!

An interesting question so I went to the "More Search Options" at the bottom and played a little with -

This is an appropriate thread for the question. A search will indicate a common theme for this "type of question." Most on here will recommend that you get with your Instructors as without seeing, it's difficult to determine the subtleties associated with _your_ particular landing gear issue. For instance, we don't know what type of canopy you're flying, are you tensing up and therefore bringing your arms down preventing a full stall, where are your eyes when landing, are there varying wind factors associated with your decision to flare, etc. My suggestion would be to go to the DZ (if its open this time of year) and just obserrve others on how they land and to get with your Instructors to observe your landings/PLFs for direct input. Keg of Beer @ Skydive Dallas for My Birthday

Well, I don't know where it'll get moved to, but now that you've told everyone... you're gonna need two kegs. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard. -

As a fellow "Anvil Brother" I'm speaking to you from experience (6'6" 250#)... FliteSuit will make an RW suit that has a ten inch wing with ZP inside the wing. With swoop cords, flying in the mantis position, I can vary ny fall rate from 108 MPH to 125 MPH. Tony (tonysuits) made me an RW suit last year. He uses an eight inch wing, but runs the ZP 3/4ths of the way down the sleeve. With his suit, i can vary my fall rate (in the mantis) 113-126MPH. I can't speak to FF'ing as I don't do that much. WHen I was stationed in Europe in the 70's, I remember receiving letters during Christmas time. And, while I didn't know those pople, the spirit of them along with the holidays made me feel a little closer to home. Like Scott, states, they were segregated by state and I wrote most of the people back. In some cases, we corresponded for years. Here in the US, Ground Beef is classified in precentages of lean 70%, 80% on the label Ground Chuck - High fat content Ground Beef - (70%) leaner than ground chuck Ground Beef - (80%) Leaner than 70% Ground Beef - (90%) Leaner than 80% Ground Sirloin - leanest Some folks like more fat in their meatloaf so it doesn't dry out when cooking. Others use leaner meat but add more liquid flavorings (tomato sauce, broth, etc.) to keep it moist... The primary guage for us yanks is whether meatloaf is too dry. Scroll to the bottom of this page: http://meat.tamu.edu/grbeef.html On a separate note: NWFlyer's suggestion of lipton onion soup mix is very popular. Ok... going skydiving... let us know how it turned out. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Basic Ingredients Ground Beef (80%), 70%, Ground sirloin, your choice... onions couple of eggs worchester sauce seasoned bread crumbs (not croutons) little garlic little salt & pepper Individual Touches Add a little veal I use a little Olive Oil Some folks add chicken or beef broth etc. etc. Here's the thing, Chef. Meatloaf is kinda like spaghetti sauce... you don't follow a recipe; you create. Try something different, add a little change each time till you find the one that makes your tastebuds happy. And like spaghetti sauce, it has to be better the second day. AND, it especially has to be good cold on a sandwich the next day. Now, go create sumpin... Case in point - me. In 1983, I was a relatively new skydiver with some 100ish skydives. When I was straphanging to fill a load and doing solos (on a PC), I would pull at 1,000'. Several people told me I needed to stop doing that and I blew them off. The DZO (Bill Campbell) was told by other more experienced skydivers what I was doing and he told me to knock it off or he'd ground me. The next day, I did it again and he grounded me for the weekend. I didn't understand "why not to do," I was just told, "what not to do." The next weekend, it just so happened we had a MassTAC military jump at Davis field in Muskogee and I (having just finished Jumpmaster School earlier that year) was tasked with being the Senior Jumpmaster towards getting my Master Blaster wings. So here we are, 1200 something SF guys who'd just flown in - standing on Davis field, me on the podium giving the MACO briefing. As I'm giving the MACO briefing, I see Bill in the back listening and watching (with several other skydivers; including former Black Hat, Curly Roe). After the MACO briefing, I made a quick dash over and shook their hands and said "Hi." Bill said, "Next time you're home and come out to make a jump, let's talk." So, next time I go to the DZ, I waited till Bill had some lull time and said, "You wanted to talk?" He took me off to the side and we sat down. He told something along the lines of (paraphrasing), "I get it. Now, you need to get it." [paraphrasing] He began to explain that he understood that my frame of reference was getting out at 1250' (at some point Curly walked over and joined)... And, I was like, "Yeah, Bill, you grounded me for 1000', but I get out of the plane all the time at 1250' and 800' at night with a whole bunch of shit strapped to me, I don't get why you got so pissed at me for pulling at a grand." Curly pipes in with his Okie drawl and gets all fucking logical on me and they start drawing in the dirt. And the class began... Now, when you were in Jumpmaster school, you learnt about calculating forward throw, right? Yes. And, you learnt to count to four, right, Yes. OK, let's take a look at the difference between forward throw at 1250' at 125 MPH horizontally. Now, let's take a look at the difference between forward throw at 800' at 125 MPH horizontally. Now, let's take a look at terminal velocity at 1000' at 120 MPH vertically and the difference your four count means in all three cases.... Something clicked...Oh Fuck!! So, back to nigel99's point... Before that discussion, I had a frame of reference and was engaged in determinism. Had I continued the same behaviors after the class, that would have been fatalism. I "think" Nigel's point being, that those who have some frame of reference (I'm a pilot, hanglider, parasailer, etc.) who downsize too quickly based on previous life experiences, BUT are "told" that what they are doing with a highly elliptical, highly loaded canopy, without training or a canopy class, without the experience of downsizing, without having gone thru Billvon's downsizing checklist, etc. AND have been "sat down" continue in the same behaviors shift from determinism to fatalism. In addition to the opinions you'll receive, this site has a dropzone locater and within it - dropzone reviews... http://www.dropzone.com/dropzone/South_America/Brazil/index.html Select a DZ, and there will be a "Reviews" tab at the top. Just some additional information. Hope it helps. Enjoy your trip. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
