BIGUN replied to bjelder's topic in General Skydiving Discussions

OK... now I'm crackin up... we all referenced just about the same beer rules and all from different sources. We must take this beer rule shit pretty seriously. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

You do not buy your Rigger beer after his/her reserve repack saves your life. You find out what their favorite bottle of whiskey, scotch, tequila, vodka, etc. is and get them the biggest one you can find. For the rest... Beer Rules EDIT: ChiliRelleno doesn't drink, so when he had a beer offense; he went down the road and bought a buttload of root beer and vanilla ice cream and made everyone root beer floats... it was awesome!! You do NOT know the meaning of joy until you've been cold, wet, and close to hypothermic for five days and find a clean dry pair of wool socks in a ziploc bag whilst digging around in the bottom of your rucksack. I probably phrased that poorly... Could SCOTUS argue/conclude the tenets of the 12th amendment were specific in addressing Article II only regarding, "...natural born citizen, citizen of the United States, age of thirty-five years, and been fourteen years a resident within the United States." And, the 22nd Amendment as addressing the terms of "elected" President only. Therefore, Bill could be eligible as VP and successor to the Presidency, but not "elected" as President. Here, they say it better... Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Barring the political strategies as to why it would be a bad move and from purely a constitutional perspective... As you point out, “But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United State.” as part of the 12th admendment ratified in 1804, whereas the 22nd wasn't ratified until 1951. So, can one argue/conclude the 12th admendment was referring to the qualifications for President as in Article II, Section 1 - "No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty-five years, and been fourteen years a resident within the United States." which supercedes the 22nd amendment? It is an interesting thought. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

I'd be willing to wager some money that it'd make it thru TSA screening. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

OK, so here's a question. Let's say Hillary wins the nomination and chooses Bill Clinton as her VP. Constitutionally acceptable? Would there be a mad dash to SCOTUS to get a ruling since he'd be one heartbeat away from the Presidency? How would they rule? When I recevied my letter for grad school, it was conditional on an acceptable GMAT score. That GMAT score had to be completed within the first 12 hours of grad school and I was to be a probationary student until completion (plus they had some magical formula of GMAT score, overall GPA, GPA in your major times the number of posts you had with Prof. Kallend). Before grad school started, it just so happened there was a GMAT test going on that spring and I thought, why not take it just the cost of the test fee, then see where my weaknesses are and study up or take a prep depending on how well I did and in what areas and then re-take it during the fall test. As it turns out, I scored high enough without any preparation at all. You might also check with the school, some of them have a different GMAT threshold for business and non-business undergrad majors (business grad majors being expected to score in a higher percentile). Just planting a thought if you can take it to see how you might do before all the expense. It was challenging, but not scary so. With IE7 or FireFox, here's a couple of tricks I. As others mentioned iGoogle is fun. It can make tabs and you can: 1. Add a variety of gadgets to each tab 2. Move the gadets around on each tab 3. Add themes to each tab See attachment 1 (then click iGoogle in the top right portion of your screen and play). II. Opening Multiple IE7 or Firefox tabs to different pages. Lets say you want your iGoogle, dropzone.com, yahoo, msn.com and scholar.google.com to all open at the same time when you click on your internet browser. 1. In IE7, go to Tools> Internet Options - where there will be a home page text box 2. Type in the the URL's of those website in the order you wish them to appear - See attachment 2 3. Select OK and the next time you reboot IE7 or FireFox, all those tabs will contain the URLs of preference - See attachment 3 Have fun with the gadgets and themes... I've known several PC volunteers, including my old boss and his daughter. They all loved their experience. I've mentioned on here more than once that not everyone should join the military. The PC is a great way to serve your country, serve others, learn about another culture and learn about yourself. I had a torn rotator cuff about 20 years ago. It took two years to feel whole at the gym again. Even at six months, I could do most of my workout, but had to be careful not to use the full weight I'd been used to pre-injury. Reduce those exercises that focus on the shoulder with more reps less weight - Take your time, don't overdo it and if it starts hurting; let it rest, Last year, I got trashed on a dive and tore the rotator again, plus injured the center deltoid, plus ruptured the bursa sac. From the previous experience, I know it'll be two years till I'm whole again. The real fun part of this one was when I raised my arm over my head, the damn thing would click and lock in place and I'd have to use the other arm to unlock it. I can't take the shot since I have an adverse reaction to it, so I just accept it will take longer and take it easy on the arm. Its been eight months this time and I feel like I'm about 60-70% whole - seems like the last 30-40% takes twice as long as the first 60-70. The good news is I have a cooler story than falling in the potty. The really good news is you didn't dislocate a shoulder. Fellow skydiver in the neighborhood dislocated his in a motorcycle accident... Made a skydive about 6 months later and the damn thing popped out in freefall. Waited a couple of months and while at WFFC the damn thing popped out again in plain old freefall. In both cases, (Right arm) he had to go straight to reserve. He decided he couldn't keep doing that, so he got his pilot ratings and is now one of our jump pilots... Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Yup, same thing Terry did. I've wondered if the suit manufacturers couldn't offer that as an option. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

When Terry was at Skydive Dallas, She replaced both bottoms, added a one inch elastic under the sole and tightened up the elastic on the heel. She did it for me during the evening so I could be jamming the next day. She charged me $30.00, but since she worked on them till about midnite after packing all day, I tipped her another twenty. Hope that helps. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Whereas, the inspectors and mechanics days were just beginning.

Anyway At All To Go Skydiving Under 16

Yeah, but the TM/TI still signed a contract with the manufacturer not to take anyone less than 18. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard. -

OK, so this really isn't about "drugs" and incarceration; it's another "marijuana; we wanna" thread. Got it. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Well, if you're citiing this source... 1. It's not a DOJ file file; it's a watchdog group. 2. The only table with a mean/median (table 6) appears different than your orginal post. 2.1 According to Table 6; Weapons has a mean of 92.2 and Violent offenses at 86.6 3. That was a 2000 report - 8 years ago. http://www.urban.org/UploadedPDF/fccp00.pdf Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

I waded around on the site for awhile trying to find it... Perhaps free could provide the link. I did find one interesting one regarding the decline in major drug arrests - Table 4 (2006) http://www.usdoj.gov/ndic/pubs25/25921/appendc.htm#TableC3 Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

If someone commits 10 crimes a year and they get locked up for two years, 20 crimes have been eliminated - hence, crime rate goes down. That works for everything except drugs. That's a resilient market where incarcerating one drug offender results in opportunity for another - an exercise in futility and the crime rate does not go down. Cut off the supply of drugs, the prison population will reduce. Concurrently, make the drug penalties ten times more severe. We don't have an incarceration problem; we have a drug problem.
