don't have to buy beer after 1000 jumps?
BIGUN replied to ridebmxbikes's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I'm sorry. He did it when the beer light came on. But, it was his choice to serve up RB floats and it made for such a great night of camaraderie that everyone just continued with the floats. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard. -

You just don't get it. Sparky Yeah, I do. I just choose not to drink. When the beer light comes on, & people start getting loud N goofy. I head for the car. As a non-drinker, I simply don't like being around that. I've noticed a number of jump buddies at my main DZ who feel the same way. Boozin & loud music isn't for everybody. I don't begrudge the drinkers their fun. I even kick in a case of Heineken, periodically. I don't like the effects of alcohol on my body. Simple as that. But, feel free to take another cheap shot at me, Sparkplug. It seems to be all you have in you. I would've thought the sting from our run-in 3+ yrs ago would've worn off for you. I guess not... Chili Rileno is sober. He stopped by the DZ in his travels and had a celebratory X00th jump. He went down to the store and bought root beer & vanilla ice cream and made floats for the dz. It was a great night and I don't remember anyone partaking in alcohol even as the night progressed. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard. -

This. And yes, it can apply to independent contractors. If you are an independent contractor subject to a non-compete agreement and concerned about violating the non-compete agreement, contact an employment lawyer before taking any actions that may violate the agreement. SOURCE: http://kielichlawfirm.com/non-compete-agreements-independent-contractors/ Bottom line: Don't sign it and move on. ................................................................................. A non-competitive contract is sooooo bogus for an independent contractor. If the original DZO values his employees so much, he will work them so hard, and pay them so well, that won't have any desire to moonlight at another DZ. Furthermore, the original DZO should pay his staff full-time staff a base salary for every day they are scheduled to work, even if it rains all day. The best DZOs offer bonuses after staff have made "X" number of jumps with students per month. No argument or siding with the DZO with the noncompete, Rob. Just been thru it in Corporate America before and making sure that folks do their homework before even considering such an agreement. Tdog is also spot on. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Ever since I was a child; I've always had a fear of someone hiding under my bed at night. SO I went to a shrink and told him, "I've got problems. Every time I go to bed I think there's somebody under It. I'm scared. I think I'm going crazy." Just put yourself in my hands for one year, said the shrink. Come talk to me three times a week and we should be able to get rid of those fears. I asked, "How much do you charge?" "Eighty dollars per visit," replied the doctor. I told him I'll sleep on it. Six months later the doctor met me on the street and asked," Why didn't you come to See me about those fears you were having?" Well, Eighty bucks a visit, three times a week for a year, is $12,480.00. A bartender cured me for $10.00. I was so happy to have saved all that money that I went and bought me a new pickup truck. Is that so? With a bit of an attitude the shrink said, "And, how may I ask did a bartender cure you? He told me to cut the legs off the bed. Ain't nobody under there now. Always get a second opinion. Don't always get it from another Doctor. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Good one, Jerry. Pavlov went into a bar to have a drink. Just as he took a sip; his cell phone rang. He jumped up and said, "I forgot to feed the dogs." Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

POE - Of which Bob Clark was a member was the first leg amputee I met in '81 when I started and had been a skydiver for a bit; although I can't say definitely if it extended back into the 70s. APT - is Dana Bowman... He started skydiving in the Mid -late 80's I believe. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

And if one is critical towards Jews; are they being critical of a nation or a religion? Interesting .. maybe both, if you consider them as 2 groups with the same name... (Do some people consider them selves Jewish by 'tribe' and yet atheist? ... I don't know) I don't know either. I just saw the Atkinson quote and it made me think out loud. Since last night, I've been pondering the question and found discussions on both sides. Of particular note is the following article/white paper: http://forward.com/articles/155742/jews-are-a-race-genes-reveal/?p=all Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Yeah, well I'm not going to be so warm and fuzzy. >>>>>>>>>>The Instructors tell you "if you have a low speed malfunction, 2 practice flares. If by then it's not fixed, check alti then cut away." They tell you this for reason. Right now in your progression things need to be as black & white as possible. You start going all gray now and cutting corners; you could get too creative and get yourself killed. >>>>It wasn't that I was scared of cutting away, (Although I was a bit Wink) >>>>>>Believe me if I got down to around 2200ft and it wasn't working properly, I would've cutaway with no hesitation. I call bullshit. If you weren't willing to do as instructed on the 2 practice flares; then you've demonstrated that you "MAY" have cutaway at 2200. Then, you come in here and... Fuck it. Do what you want. You're going to anyway. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
