  1. Package all the liberals on to military transports and ship them over to diffuse the situation. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  2. Would it bother you to know that Hobby Lobby used to have insurance that had no problem to cover that which now all of a sudden they find to be against their religion.. Not that GOP supporters like Hobby Lobby do not have an overabundance of hypocrisy when it comes to the black guy or anything he has tried to do. You'll have to cite a source for me, cause Google ain't finding that. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  3. The IGNORANCE has nothing to do with disagreeing with me. It has to do with disagreeing with established science about the biological effects of Plan B. My apologies, I didn't realize you were talking about Plan B. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  4. No longer in production. Paraflite is now Airborne Systems and really don't play much in the sport canopy business anymore. http://www.airborne-sys.com/pages/view/products Some reading information on the canopy... http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=2790702#2790702 Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  5. While I suppose the vast majority do, it would be quite illegal for them to require that their employees be evangelical Christians (or Christians at all). Just as it would be illegal for them to proselytize their non-Christian employees, or make it uncomfortable for them. They're a public for-profit corporation. They can certainly run it according to their beliefs (like their strict adherence to a Sunday closing and for major Christian holidays -- those are well within the realm of company policy), but they can't go outside the law. Wendy P. They are within the law. They do not require employees be of Christian faith. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

  7. Just explain the situation to your Tandem Instructor. They'll work around it. Won't be the first time, they've had to accommodate some form of disability. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  8. Several major corporations have espoused their religious beliefs as part of their corporate values long before 2010. In the end, I think they will be forced to accept the ACA in its entirety. In the end, I know that if forced to abandon their value system; they will close their doors. Just because you don't believe in God; does not make everyone else ignorant. They believe in your right - not to believe. You could extend the same courtesy and make your points without throwing rocks. 9. As a baseline of the minimum requirement, please refer to the Skydiver's Information Manual, Section 5-2B "Recurrency for Licensed Skydivers." 11. She's a really good family friend. And first thing she did was give me her credit card info and said 'go buy a stove'. After I priced it out, it turned out to be quite expensive. And considering how little she charges me for rent (I'm paying about a 1/3 of what i'd pay for a similar apartment if I was in an official lease agreement) I want to talk to her first and see if she's ok spending almost $800 on something that will potentially be disposed off 6 months later. It sounds like you might be "assuming" that she would get rid of it prior to the sale. Best to talk with her and see if she wants a short-term cheapo or something that can help with the transition and remain with the apartment. If cheapo... I checked your local craigslist. Lotsa 200-3000 stoves for sale. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  12. note the final column on the left...these 7000 millionaires represent 1.6% of the cohort. As opposed to > 80% in the two lowest groupings. And if people want to complain about the lying around saying that 47% don't pay (income) taxes, ignoring FICA and sales taxes, then it's at least as underhanded to do it here. These millionaires may not be paying income taxes, but the capital gains or dividend taxes start at close to 200k. Well, let's not make it sound as though there aren't any tax strategies against deferring capital gains. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

    Assholes.

Well, I hate to differ, Butt . . . Whereas, I ponder as to whose ass was cast to make a chocolate anus? And, does she titter about the number of people eating her ass.
  17. Before we drift too far. This is about keeping those who are at the level of poverty from resorting to public assistance or giving those on public assistance an incentive to get off of it. It's not perfect, but it does help. And, before we jeer too much... How many times have we read about the 7,000 millionaires so adept at the tax laws that they pay no income tax. http://www.businessinsider.com/7000-millionaires-paid-no-income-tax-2012-9 Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  18. Nope. You're confused. There's "normal folks," "regular folks," and "po' folks." Got it? Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  19. 1. And, it is no more than a credit posted against adjusted gross income. 2. Not unlike those who own a house get to adjust their income with tax credits based on interest paid. Yeah, I can see where I fucked that up. 1. It is a refundable tax credit, posted against adjusted gross income. 2. Was trying to make the point of different types of tax breaks for everyone. 20. You're working on a major project for a customer that is preventing you from achieving his goals. How'd I do?
  21. On those rare occasions that you do want to refer to someone's sig line... consider right-clicking on "settings" and opening in a new tab, toggle the sig line switch to on, refresh the previous tab, toggle it back off and may the force be with you.

  23. Quade: Your response about whining was uncalled for as a moderator and an opportunity to educate from your side of the aisle; rather than berate. Everything posted anymore just seems to cause you agitation. I do applaud your diligence and duration, but perhaps it's time to take a break. We've all done it at some point. To the OP: The cap on the EIC is about $51K dependent on the number of children (not sure what it is this year). And, it is no more than a credit posted against adjusted gross income. Not unlike those who own a house get to adjust their income with tax credits based on interest paid. The difference being is that it is an incentive for... e.g., a married couple with kids (say both earn ~$24K/ annum) to continue working. I would encourage you to Google it for more info than I'm providing below. But, do know this. There are many single or married couples that would rather get off public assistance OR work than accept public funding and this allows them to do it. The saddest part about this program is that only about 40-50% of the people who qualify actually take it because they don't know about it, nor how to do more than a standard 1040 EZ. Then, when they do find out about it; rather than try to understand it (or maybe not have the ability to understand the process)... they wind up going to those store front tax preparers who absorb "most of" or "more than" it in tax preparation fees, those instant return loans or both. "The EITC is designed to encourage and reward work. As noted, a worker’s EITC grows with each additional dollar of earnings until reaching the maximum value. This creates an incentive for people to leave welfare for work and for low-wage workers to increase their work hours. This incentive feature has made the EITC highly successful. Studies show that the EITC encourages large numbers of single parents to leave welfare for work, especially when the labor market is strong. Specifically, a highly regarded study found that EITC expansions are the most important reason why employment rose among single mothers with children during the 1990s — the EITC was more effective in encouraging work than either welfare reform or the strong economy. The Committee for Economic Development, an organization of 250 corporate executives and university presidents, concluded in 2000 that “The EITC has become a powerful force in dramatically raising the employment of low-income women in recent years.” SOURCE: http://www.cbpp.org/cms/?fa=view&id=2505 Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  24. Steve, Assume 8-12 weeks and that's if you do your PT EVERY day. The goal will be to great back to > 90 Degrees of flex. I know two who did not do their PT every day and wound up having a second surgery to remove scar tissue and be knocked out while they hyperextended the knee and another 4 weeks of PT. We know a former SF Medic CSM who had both knees done and within 10 weeks was out playing hoops again with his kids after each surgery. He wished he hadn't waited so long to get them done. Good luck, brother. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  25. I'm not knocking your desire for a scooter. I think they're great. I failed to place the home page of the scooters.. http://www.propelimports.com/ Just for measurements sake... 50 CC will get you about 40mph as top end, but you don't want to run top end all the time. That's what wears them out. 100 CC will get you about the same, but with a little more power on acceleration. 150CC will get you about 60-70 MPH but a cruise speed of about 45 MPH. I have a buddy who owns a custom chopper shop, he sells the crap out of those Propel Scooters. The only thing I don't like about scooters (in general) is their tin can mufflers. ETA: I kinda like the Honda Helix that Wendy posted. Just not familiar with it. If it weren't for Harleys, my next choice would be a Honda.
