Perhaps some basics? Download the two attachments from Scott's: http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=294767#294767 Except from FM 31-19 http://library.enlisted.info/field-manuals/series-1/FM31_19/APPB.PDF Hope this helps. >>>I only get to jump 1 weekend a month at best, and this does not help This is going to make it very difficult given that each time you jump could have different wind directions, temp variations, etc. For now, continue to try each month. Is it financially possible for you to do two Hop-N-Pops vs. one skydive, wherein you can focus on the windline and your accuracy? OK. That one's going to the Harley guys.

SORZ goggles for both One clear One Amber One dark & polarized. They're cheaper at the local motorcycle (Not Harley) shop. $14.95 pair. Some don't like the foam around the lens, but I'm both hard on goggles and have a propensity for laying them down or letting them walk off (they do this on their own), so I pretty much am replacing one of them a month. So, cheap and effective works for me. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Hi Jerry, The Pope goes to New York. He is picked up at the airport by a limousine. He looks at the beautiful car and says to the driver, "You know, I hardly ever get to drive. Would you please let me?" The driver is understandably hesistant and says, "I'm sorry, but I don't think I'm supposed to do that." But the Pope persists, "Please?" The driver finally lets up. "Oh, all right, I can't really say no to the Pope." So the Pope takes the wheel, and boy, is he a speed demon! He hits the gas and goes around 100 mph in a 45 zone. A policeman notices and pulls him over. The cop walks up and asks the Pope to roll down the window. Startled and surprised, the young officer asks the Pope to wait a minute. He goes back to his patrol car and radios the chief. Cop: Chief, I have a problem. Chief: What sort of problem? Cop: Well, you see, I pulled over this guy for driving way over the speed limit but it's someone really important. Chief: Important like the mayor? Cop: No, no, much more important than that. Chief: Important like the governor? Cop: Wayyyyyy more important than that. Chief: Like the president? Cop: More. Chief: Who's more important than the president? Cop: I don't know, but he's got the Pope driving for him! Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

As you've probably heard, the EU has passed legislation to allow one to fill out a form to be forgotten on Google. And, on the first day 12,000 people submitted the form. The part that cracks me up is - one must scan their ID and send it in with the form. So basically, one needs to surrender more privacy to get privacy. I'm not sure if this is an oxymoron or a FUBAR in progress. http://news.asiaone.com/news/digital1/google-gets-12000-requests-be-forgotten-first-day Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

When is it OK to make/receive phone calls during a skydive?
BIGUN replied to NeoX's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I think we were hoping that you would review your poll results and realize that of 233 votes, only 6 responded with "Only with a hands-free Bluetooth headset." Or, that you might have listened to the number of talented, well-respected and educated opinions that are opposed to such an activity. Then, perhaps you'd say something like, "Thank you for your input, time and opinions. Based on your feedback, I've decided to carry my phone in my suit pocket only for emergencies" - as the poll results weight heavily on that response. There have been many like you before. Those who would run around the DZ asking questions about downsizing too soon and when they don't get the answer they want; continue to go around the DZ until they get close to the answer they wanted and then do what they set out to do anyway. We've all seen it before, only now, it's on the DZ of cyberspace, so one can get thousands of opinions until they get the one they want. You know the number of people like you that have done this only to wind up dead. No one was surprised. No one grieved. We knew it was coming. Not a matter of "if," just a matter of, "when." I had a close personal friend who decided he could learn swooping all on his own. I counseled him on more than one occasion. Four months later, he piled in. Left behind a 4 month old son. You never came on here with the intention of getting opinions to make an informed decision. You're going to do what you want. I'll not reply anymore, so as not to inconvenience you with information & experience. Try not to take someone else out with you. I did. And, sit on several local high-level Veteran Boards & Councils. Those where the elected either show up or send someone from their staff each time. And, we are very active. We don't rant, but make informative presentations. The result on this was: http://bridenstine.house.gov/media-center/press-releases/congressman-jim-bridenstine-votes-to-improve-va-accountability-calls-for Some time ago when ACA was starting; I was vocal about if the President wants to provide healthcare for all Americans; fix the VA system first and use that as your model. With a seductive voice the woman asked her husband: "Have you ever seen Twenty Dollars all crumpled up?" "No," said her husband. She gave him a sexy little smile, unbuttoned the top 3 or 4 buttons of her blouse, and slowly reached down into the cleavage created by a soft, silky push-up bra, and pulled out a crumpled Twenty Dollar bill. He took the crumpled Twenty Dollar bill from her and smiled approvingly. She then asked him, "Have you ever seen Fifty Dollars all crumpled up?". "Uh... no, I haven't," he said, with an anxious tone in his voice. She gave him another sexy little smile, pulled up her skirt, and seductively reached into her tight, sheer panties and pulled out a crumpled Fifty Dollar bill. He took the crumpled Fifty Dollar bill, and started breathing a little quicker with anticipation. "Now," she said, "Have you ever seen $50,000 Dollars all crumpled up?". He said "No!" trying to hide his arousal. She said ... "Check the garage.". Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

One other suggestion... ask your local most experienced rigger to watch you packing it the way you have been and ask him/her to test jump it. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
